  1. Paj!

    Java help

    Thanks.
  2. I hated that he drew Venom with normal teeth, so when he grinned, he just looked stupid.
  3. But it's fictional. It would make sense were it nowadays (since she often references men that dumped her, who then went on to be own financially), but back then it's just a metaphor/whatever for her own feeling of success. By your logic any song talking about yourself is breaking the fourth wall. "Fictional" or "autobiographical" (which that song isn't). What songs are strictly autobiographical anyway? they're always embellished/added to in some way. But seriously, it's not "breaking the fourth wall" in any way, shape or form. Or at least not in the sense of "I wrote this song...: etc. It's not even a musical term, it applies to the stage (and so screen, comics, books etc). Like the asides in Shakespeare. In Hamlet, while the play he arranged for the court is going on (which mirrors the grim events of real life as he knows it, and as such scares the king into thinking his crimes have been discovered), Hamlet says in an aside, "That's wormwood, wormwood." Effectively "ooh burn!", but talking to us, no one on stage.
  4. A lesson for all to stop wearing their trousers so low. Your penis could be mistaken for a gun.
  5. Continuing "tidying" my room. AKA just deciding to finally clear out stuff like books and clothes. Doing more of the latter, and just found my epic hoodie that forgot about. I found folded up maps for Disneyworld in the pocket, and I just realised that I must have taken it off when I came home from Florida on January 5 2008 and just left it in my "clothes pile" on top of my chest of drawers. A stunning thing to re-find. I love that in the cuff/sleeve of the right arm, there was a poignantly discreet zipped bit. I ASSUME this is for putting some kinda sneaky substances to avoid detection.
  6. I'm certain dreams at least represent things, if not strictly "mean" something homogenous and solid.
  7. Everyone can draw. Don't be silly. But if you feel your natural (in)ability is frustrating, just doodle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_therapy
  8. Take a walk. Or run for the sole reason of running. Or draw a picture.
  9. So is what Cube posted what happens in the Countdown comics on iTunes? I would buy them but I don't have an iPod touch and can't be arsed. So is Next Generation set BEFORE Kirk and stuff? I never knew that.
  10. Just got a hold of Grey Britain by Gallows and Eternal by Sonic Youth. Giving Gallows a listen first. It's decent so far. On the right side of heavy for me.
  11. CLICK Not a "dream house", but I'd love the luxury of a house like that, in a place with the same atmosphere the series has. Kinda light but soothing. I think I love it because I want to be in that interesting family though, too.
  12. Yes. Dragonette (who I was scared would just dissappear after being robbed of the recognition they deserved) are back. Not quite as immediate as I Get Around, but they describe the upcoming album (of the same name as the song) as a Boy, whereas Galore was a girl. (?)
  13. No it's not. At all. Otherwise every song that isn't a pure story about someone else/not using "I" or "you" "breaks the fourth wall".
  14. New song (What We Know) from Sonic Youth's upcoming album, Eternal, on Jools Holland; --- ALSO The Zero (RAC Mix) by Yeah Yeah Yeahs is free for download on Pitchfork. It's good.
  15. Friends just went out to get stuff today, and I handed them a £2 coin, saying I only wanted a beer as I was going home.
  16. Single can. No idea how much it was.
  17. Ah right I have literally the storyline in tpb form, which is wafer thin. Let me find it.
  18. Currently listening to; I got this, 77 and More Songs About Buildings and Food ages ago, and at the same time, so never really absorbed them. In the mood for this now.
  19. I love. True in loads of cases as well.
  20. I want to have the same dreams as Madam President/Athena/Caprica Six.
  21. BSG S04 up to Guess What's Coming To Dinner? I don't know why I'm screaming. Is it cause this is so good? I love how whenever there's a glimmer of hope, something really devastating happens.
  22. Isn't it really short? Like 2 issues long? I liked it. I assume it was more praised/acclaimed at the time, as it's the sort fo thing that doesn't have much impact now. Thinking about it, it might be teh first story to show a dystopic future, with Mutants persecuted. That's probably why it's famous.
