I never realised what gmac's avvie was. I always assumed it was some weird, graveyard scene with a man on the left and the moon or something, as I've never actively looked at it.

Wow, I thought you knew about Annie? I remember I was gonna mention her here, but thought I already had. But yeah, real top-class pop right there. Heartbeat, Chewing Gum, Anthonio..

I've heard of Lights loads of times before. You guys just aren't down with the muzak. Still, hiring spambots to do her bidding is low.

Does this mean I no longer owe you for Tori Amos? [/drawing a bizarre and non-logical conclusion] If not, you'll to wake me up when September ends, as that's when my money comes in.

Ugh. Susan Boyle. The whole fiasco epitomises everything I hate. She's got the most nondescript voice I've ever heard (technically good, I'm sure), and is just...no. I don't care about her looks, it's the shiteness of it all. Why is she mobbed by reporters? She has NOTHING of interest to tell. The fact she was discovered on Britain's Got Talent (BARF) and then the judges openly say they dismissed her initially cause she's ugly, but no one thinks about how fucking indecent that is? It's sobstory no.X, "oh noes she's ugly and we were all mean, AWWWWW" get a fucking life. Please. I hate it. It's kinda what Lady GaGa goes on about, her commentary on fame (which goes over most shites heads, and admittedly is hardly amazing, but is saying more than her contemporaries are) and stuff. To compare within the realm of singers people jizz over.

Orlando Bloom was really boring yeah. Jack Sparrow was entertaining in the first one and occasionally in the other two, but not really funny. But then, It takes a bit too much to make me laugh in films/TV. Except Arrested Development. I just didn't get what was going on in the third one. Like...Elizabeth was Calypso, but actually, no, it's that woman from the second one, who is ALSO MADE OF CRABS. Let's NOT explain who's who.

I thought he'd overcome it, as I hadn't heard anything about it in ages. Shame. I've only actually seen him in Donnie Darko, but I liked him in that.
-
I thought they were enjoyable for what they were. The third one was very strange though. Confusing as hell, but quite interesting (the ideas they tired to implement). But I really liked the first two when they came out.
-
I've never seen House, but comics can be better than TV shows. In rare cases. But they're a very different medium, so in conclusion buy Arrested Development.

You can walk along the red carpet at the premiere. Or you can have a part in it. Bearing in mind it's set mostly in the U.S desert-y areas, and about a pregnant woman being lost/fighting an alien.

It's never really put into exacts, but you'd assume that tampering with his own atomic structure would be fatal, as a gas cloud has no brain with which to control his powers, and no organs with which to survive (whether or not he needs these organs is debatable).

As I've said before, Everlong lies. It sounds good, and then is actually a really underwhelming and unsatisfactory song once it's over. Don't really care how fun it is to play on the guitar VILLAN! *points* I hate Sleep Now In The Fire, but I'm more in the mood for it.

Yeah, but the penis only added, and I like that it had the balls (!) to actually include it in the film, and not pointlessly censor.

Get a square, bordered Sin City avatar at the very least. I associate the sig with you, but that could go too. [/critic] -
I thought Madonna's speech was actually really good, quite moving. The big song and dance after was alright, nice to see janet doing Scream, for about 30 seconds.

Charles Darwin Film Too Controversial For America
Paj! replied to Dante's topic in General Chit Chat
Oh yeah, I forgot how stupid roughly half of america is. There's such a lack of realisticness (I don't feel realism is the right word) in most americans, compared to Britons. We deal with life so well. -

I screamed at Fopp today. Or, in Fopp. Rachel Unthank & The Winterset have a new album out, and no one warned me. That, AND they've got rid of one of the band members, and added 2 random men, and renamed themselves The Unthanks. For those not in the now, they are such a brilliant, brilliant group that make this real folk music, kinda sad, but wonderful. All Newcastle-y, and sortof pre-war sounding. I NEED. My Recent New Album Listening Round-Up Metric - Fantasies I love Grow Up And Blow Away, but knew nothing of how they currently sounded. While I still like them, Help, I'm Alive seems like such a stand-out compared to the rest. Needs more time, but atm 6.5/10 Hilary Duff - Dignity I'm such a fan. :p (Actually am, though) It's actually surprisingly good. Never seems particuarly heavy-handed lyrically, but could do with shaving 1-2 tracks off, to make it more concise, as the heavy bass in a lot of tracks (which I like) is overpowering after a while. She's not that great a singer either, but it's diguised well. The CD cover is a nice change from the usual pop whoriness to sell albums. I love, considering./10 (6/10) Muse - The Resistance Nothing particularly wrong with it, but blended into one, and didn't have too much going for it either. Some nice stompy beats in some of the songs, but the terrible Queen impressions need to die in a fire. Only had 1 1/2 listens though, so I'll keep at it. 5.9/6/10 Fiona Apple - When the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king What he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight And he'll win the whole thing 'fore he enters the ring There's no body to batter when your mind is your might So when you go solo, you hold your own hand And remember that depth is the greatest of heights And if you know where you stand, then you know where to land And if you fall it won't matter, cuz you'll know that you're right Previous holder of the record for longest album title. :p So far, so good. She takes a while to get into, and can often be a bit of a downer. Sounds lovely though. (If not AS lovely as Tidal) 7.4/10
