  1. He's good in Arrested Development, but people could TRY and put in roles that aren't LITERALLY THE SAME CHARACTER. At least in that one ReZ posted it looks like he gets to be "evil" for a bit.
  2. Voting Radiohead. While repeated listens make me like Everlong, I find the lyrics and singing to be of a lower quality than the actual music. And I prefer Radiohead in general.
  3. Maybe he thought you were too old for it? J/K. Hannah rox my sox.
  4. I don't know why I find it so funny. That one bit she does in Immaculate Election just did it for me. --- I could just post quotes all day. But I won't.
  5. Go as a smiling gun with smoke coming out of it. No one'll do that.
  6. New Round! I want more voters people. It can't be that hard to take time out to vote in this... Foo Fighters - Everlong Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees Round 4 Match 1: Rage Against The Machine vs. The Kinks Match 2: Tori Amos vs. Portishead Gete votinge.
  7. I'll close this with Tori taking it.
  8. Kept reminding me of some kind of child-friendly version of . (nsfw sortof) The song's ok, not as catchy as his older songs.
  9. Arrested Development Season 2 "Wait...what are you doing out of school?" *fear* "Marry me!" *smiles* -- "I don't want my daughter to be exposed to the media like that!" Unbeknownst to Lindsay, Maeby was secretly at the movie studio where she conned her way into a job as a movie executive. In metaphorical stiches. So great. I'm still lolling at Marry Me and the magazine cover of Buster and Lucille 'Why I Want to Marry my Mother'.
  10. The chorus to that song is better than the rest by far. The rest is really...bad. But then it's awful for the mere fact it's a cookie-cutter "2009 hit!" with those beats in the background.
  11. The sad thing is, she's not even ginger. She's half-cherokee indian or something.
  12. Maybe it's tastes. In any case, it's always better than I remember it. Listening now, it's not too bad, to be fair, but in retrospect, it always seems so. Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe it's cause I changed the FUGLY cover on my iTunes to the superior back cover.
  13. How To Save A Life. It didn't offend me, but it wasn't very good either. -- Anyone have any favourite mash-ups? I hated the production. It sounds dated and indistinct, but not in a good way. I think song-wise, they're on par with each other, shown in a live setting, but on album, Two Suns is a bit blah for me.
  14. Been to the U.S.A most, about 8-9 times. France a few times, Germany twice, and everywhere else once. (Except England, been there zillions of times obv.) Never been to Wales or Ireland though.
  15. I posted my thoughts a few times a while back. Been listening to some of the albums that have been nominated. I love Florence, Bat For Lashes and La Roux, but I don't think La Roux is really Mercury-winning. Bat For Lashes second nom in as many albums, but I really think Fur & Gold is 20 times better than Two Panets. But I'd like her to win. Florence's album was unexpectedly great. I'd like her to win too. I liked The Horrors album a lot. The Invisible bored me to tears. Except one song I can't remember. Lisa Hannigan's album is nice, but a bit unerwhelming. Friendly fires was enjoyable.
  16. Just had a stand-off with a bee/wasp that won't leave my room, and was hiding behind the curtain. Being mildly afraid/disgusted by insects, I couldn't face it head-on, instead climbing onto my tall bed, and whacking my curtain and spraying raid in the general direction. It then buzzed from wherever it was, and I hastily climbed down the ladder from my bed, and heard for the next 5 solidminutes, what sounded like...something spraying the bee with a water pistol or something. Lots of spraying/scratching noises and buzzing. It was horrific. Not heard any buzzing for a good 5 mins. So I can rest at ease. ANYWAY First 'day" at my art school, really was just a registration thing, first proper day tomorrow. Met up with the people I knew before who are doing it with me, and briefly spoke to some new people, but I think I'll get to know people tomorrow onwards when we're actually in class.
  17. LOL! Rude, considering we've been to her house before. But she did stalk my family (literally) to the point of insanity. We had to leave the country for her to stop. (okay, we were going on holiday anyway, but that's beside the point). She was really bad in English too. In the middle of some great philosophical debate about the themes of To the Lighthouse, she just said, "I...don't GET To The Lighthouse." *silence* "Well, I GET it. I just don't like it." We were just like GTFO PLEASE.

Don't lie to me Laura Cutestorie. Yes, I know your second name.

  19. Arrested Development Maeby. My favourite. This show is so witty. It's so quick, and is wonderfully self-referential, in that it picks up on bits that have happened before, even in split-second sequences. Agh. So Good. Great.
  20. Paj!

    I'm crying blood.

  21. The speed is dealt with in a realistic way though, like making a deal of how people can't breathe when he carries them whilst going too fast. And generally his speed isn't enough to stop the good baddies.
  22. I don' loveyou Lahk AH DIYD Yustur Day ay. I forgot that song existed until last week. And it has...39 (!) plays on my iTunes. I was emo (trying-failing). --- Anyway. I'd just lie, then reveal the truth in a dramatic and heart-cleaving manner in front of loads of people for fun.
  23. Hoping to finish my cardboard "sculpture" (more like cut-out 2-D picture) for tomorrow morning when I start my year at leith School of Art. Nervous, but not really, as I know 3 people doing it with me, and I know the building really well.
  24. I love it all from 7 onwards. It feels like it gains a backbone.
  25. It wasn't really aimed at you, as I know you and others genuinely don't like her stuff. It was just how ipaul phrased it I think. ---- Ganepark; as S.C.G said, best is to start at Debut, but it's her second-worst (in a line of brilliant albums, so that's not exactly bashing it) album. However it lays foundations, and has lots of popular/catchy songs. Homogenic, Vespertine and Medulla are her best artistically.
