  1. Did some work today, but nearly enough. Then Chair came round and we went out to a friend from college's birthday, who Chair knew from primary school. It was an enjoyable night out, but a strange collision of worlds. When a friend of mine turned up at the pub/bar/huge colloseum that serves drinks at the bequest of another mutual friend who I also go to college with. Dunno why, but it felt so jarring to see her there. I associate her with a totally seperate...part of me? Or something. Nice for Chair to meet my friends though, for the first (proper) time. (He'd met a few of the non-essentials before). Promised myself wouldn't go to the club they were planning to go to, as I have loads to do tomorrow. But did. But it was fine. I drank enough to enjoy myself, but will feel fine tomoz. P.S Hour long walk home cause you can't get money out for taxi because you forgot your pin no. (bizarrely. I then remembered it once I got more tipsy), and then the machine told you that it would refuse any more attempts and that I need to phone the bank is no fun.
  2. Listening to that right now! Really enjoy it too. Made me go back to the last album, which I always liked but found so hard to actually listen to.
  3. Yeah, he just reeks of 90's shit. But then I daren't judge without having read it. Similar to Witchblade, you're both intrigued and put off.
  4. Stun. I have no baby photos online. Thankfully. But I think my sister may have put some childhood ones in Fbook. Let me see. Oh. One. My sister and I, loving life. I was 4/5 here. I've noticed how everyone, including me, has begun to post like Wesley. It feels so much more succinct.
  5. Really horrible, Coolness. Unfair etc. Soz.
  6. Not for me. It was just blurry/fuzzy when I had a sneaky peek without glasses.
  7. As far as I'm aware, they pronounce the name Emil correctly (or at least as I've always heard it). Although in an annoying american accent. :p I'm on Chapter 6, about 20 something hours in. Emil is Level 40, Marta 39. I'm enjoying it, I like the emphasis on story, the overworld (or lack thereof) no longer bothers me, it speeds things up. I've lost my chance at the best ending already (dealing with it though). Just lost BADLY to
  8. Ooh these are useful! I'm so shit at this game, seriously. I love it, but it's merciless (for me). I can only play with someone else so I don't continuously get game overs. I'll try these though.
  9. I'm weeping. Too much to (arty work) do, stuff that feels so inconsequential pay-off wise, but is so taxing.
  10. Hmm. I actually think I would have preferred Avatar without the narration. The narration where it doubles as his videoblog thing is fine, but just the pointless bits like "I was standing where no man should be" or whatever horrible line it was could go.
  11. Everyone loved Star Trek (it was good, so deserved it), so the remake craze has only got stronger. I heard they're (they being NOT Joss Whedon) making a new Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie, unrelated to the original one or the series, which makes me think that'll be complete shit, using the name and OMGVAMPIRES to sell. Crying etc.
  12. I had pulsing pains in my right hand during that and had to cover my mouth in shock. Lack of support/rails etc is one of my biggets fears, combined with hills. The lack of support. I don't have a fear of heights, just not being supported. I don't understand where that is...it has handrails sometimes, but not all the time? Why? It's as dangerous anywhere? And who the fuck is Lara Croft filming it, walking across beams and sidling along cliffs? I don't understand. I think that I would die. I think I've seen that place in my nightmares.
  13. For ages after I had the album and played the song loads, I never heard the "Get out my garden" line. I heard the bit it is, but assumed she was just like...wailing or something, lol. I read it in the lyrics and assumed it was some joke added into the booklet, until I finally heard it. :p
  14. Sorry, it's taken a holiday hiatus. I'll have the next one up soon.
  15. The one where they're on the pile of mattresses was good (the song/performance). Can't think of any others I really liked. Some of the mash-ups.
  16. Hmm. I think I'm very forgiving of it, perhaps because I just plain liked it. I liked the visuals, the story was familar and very Titanic and crowd-pleasing or whatever the correct term would be. Traditional, with moving bits, action etc. If I wasn't interested in it or he visuals weren't so appealing to me, I think I'd be more critical. I know it wasn't great, I think a 6/10 is probably right for it as a film, but I loved the visuals which raise it for me.
  17. Is that why you hate Shrek too?
  18. Having just had the pleasure (...) of listening to the Paris Hiltion album from my sister, I loved this little Banksy piece I never knew about;
  19. Also, everyone is going to see it now becuase no TV screen is a substitute for a cinema one.
  20. I hate Orlando Bloom. I love Kiera Knightley, so I can't tell if she was bad or not. Johnny Depp was good in them...but I wasn't amazed. He was the most entertaining. I honestly can't remember the story/what happened in the last one. I know Calypso tturns into a giant swarm of crabs. That's it. I liked that bit.
  21. I liked Pirates 1 and Pirates 2. Pirates 3 was really bad. It made no sense. (and I pay attention to films)
  22. I thought you get taken away into the shadows if you say anything bad about China, in China?
  23. Stunning. I read half of 1984 5 years ago, but yeah I know the gist. Coolio.
