  1. Yeah but X-Men as a comic series is in large part about a school where mutants are offered sanctuary and training in controllng their powers (focus on this aspect changes throughout the years. ATM the mansion is in pieces IIRC, and the X-Men live on an island.) . So a new one being set in school isn't so suprising. Anyway, let's all wait for Blade: The High School Years. Feauturing pale, emaciated pale guys and girls vowing to die unless they can be together, until Blade shoves a stake up their collective arses, deciding for them.
  2. I think ANYONE would be a better Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire. Peter Parker does not constantly look sleepy and/or depressed. I think it was an artistically mostly successful series (the third obviously had most flaws, and second the best), but it just so wasn't Spider-Man. I'm both positive about this reboot and terrified. It has the horrible possiblity of being aimed purely at kids with the high-school setting, or working nicely, as he did spend a good number of years as Spidey at high school. Ultimate Spider-Man did it well. But then if they get a 15 year old to play him, I'll cry. I hate children. They could do the Goblin/s better now too. While the movie design was cool, it looked better on paper.
  3. Oh, I was so confused for a second. You used Incapacitate and hit my low defence easily. I get it now.
  4. Beyonce as Ultimate Vision in the Avengers movie. An idea of a lifetime.
  5. Hold my hand as I'm lowered. I'm so ready for you, Caprica.
  6. Stayed up till 3 doing work I didn't even really have to do for today, but obviously good that I did. (it would only have been for tomorrow in any case) First day back at college, went quickly, just did 2 life drawings, and talked to my tutor about my digital portfolio for ECA. Got to start some real work in rejigging my Tracey Emin essay. Ugly bitch.
  7. EEvil, I'd love that, but it has to be done well. I'm generally anti-"picture" tattoos cause it's so rare that they looks great. But that's kinda "cartoony" enough, that it should work. Do eet. Rogue's the best.
  8. Dollhouse - Closer You Get The end is nigh, and it shows. Found this a bit confusing to follow at first, but was frequently stunned. Come on Whisky. I gasped/screamed at the obvious bit, though I predicted it from the way the character was standing (it'll make sense if you see it). What else has Olivia Williams been in except An Education? Her love is my drug. Come on, Caroline.
  9. I have a feeling I'll be up for good few more hours completing this SHITTY WORK. Tbf I left it to the relative last minute, but it's not my fault I couldn't think of stuff to draw from observation. I technically more Sketchbook work than is required, but just no drawing, all collage or writing my thoughts on life. Done 2 and a half of the 3 drawings required, but am just crying over having to basically have my "Digital" portfolio ready for tomorrow. Just taking pics atm, not edited ANY yet. Need 25 decent pieces, I've just done so little of worth in the last term. Angry. I don;t even WANT to go to Edinburgh College of Art, and this is the one I'm doing this shittty portfolio for. By the time I apply to the other places, I'll have better stuff to show them, but I'm basically showing Edinburgh what I showed them last year, and they rejected me then, so it all seems pointless. It's effectively my "back-up", but it's the most picky of the places I've applied. I'm mentally preparing for a year out. (cause I won't get in anywhere)
  10. I know that. I just think it's crap. What gives you* the right to hate her, or even take sides? You weren't part of their marriage. Even if she married him PURELY for the money (I'm not saying she didn't, i'm sure it was a big factor), she did actually have a child with him, there was some investment in the relationship, not that it's any of our business. (there's a pun in there somewhere :p) People just want a villain to moan about with each other. Paul McCartney being who is he is shouldn't matter. He was in The Beatles. Great. Why does that mean a woman who wants to divorce him gets vilified? All I sense is jealousy. *the public.
  11. Well whatever. He knew what he was getting into.
  12. I spent ages making a post on HCR that I would link here with their obvious Heroclix dials, but then it wasn't as great as I'd hoped.
  13. ^ Similar, funny read about how shit the entire Twilight series is, and explaining the mormon-allegories within it, from a former mormon. http://stoney321.livejournal.com/317176.html (Different article for each book)
  14. I'll never understand why everyone hates Heather Mills. As far as I'm aware, she's never done anything wrong that is anyone's bloody business. Paul McCartney asked her to marry him, they got a divorce. Boo hoo she walks with millions cause he was too stupid to get a prenup. Cue public hate and another Yoko Ono figure of hate. She's the only amputee I can think of who does this kinda stuff all for charity and to show fellow amputees that they can still live their lives and hopefully not be too held back by their disability. Anyway. Saw a bit of the show at dinner. Eh. I prefer it to Stirctly, cause at least Ice Dancing is exotic and interesting and not usually done. Plus I like how the contestants all improve and learn each week, and it forces them to actually learn a new skill, which is good.
  15. Are you allowed to read/draw at work?
  16. That's the whole joke of her new album. I wouldn't be at all interested in it as I knew it was gonna be dancey/techno, and her last single in that style was awful, but the collaborators make me jizz. Ladytron have said their work with her is basically the ladytron sound with her singing, which could be awesome.
  17. Hmm, towns drop off the map after you get to certain bits, which is REALLY annoying. Mainly cause I hoped that I go do side-quests after you were meant to, but apparently not. In chapter 6, I can visit most of the old dungeons (I guess for training purposes), but the towns are off-limits. (I mean the towns that you aren't really hanging around at the time)
  18. They were all (or at least the main ones) motion-captured, then the effects added on in some form, like you said. (As far as I'm aware?) But even so, Cgi skin and musculature never quite moves the same as real skin/muscles, so the risk was still there.
  19. No idea who Blake Lively is, but I kinda like the idea of her in the role. She has a studious face, that means she can pass as Carol (who IIRC is like some businesswoman/owned a airstrip or something) and in the future as Star Sapphire.
  20. Joke. When will Robyn stop blowing us all? Who knew she wrote this song (made famous here by Beverly Knight)?
  21. RE: Comedy Rainbow in general -- It's not any better, nor is it any worse. Scare Claire is the best, but even then, it's not a type of thing one watches on Youtube. It just feels genuine and amusing cause it's real/of the moment. The rest is just stilted or edited badly. Phil's seemed so pointlessly edited. I reiterate what Dannyboy said. Gerald went on too long/wasn't good enough to justify being the "main bit". It's like...I thought of really funny thing to do for that section at the end of the the first section, and sortof expected that to happen, but it didn't (basically have a real person be Gerald, and other stuff). *sigh* I might enter your competition.
  22. I'm listening to the album for the first time now. She's never inspired me to listen to it...didn't like the sound I heard in clips/bored of it, and her cover of Fairytale in New York with some guy from Scouting For Girls was less than intriguing. But Chair and you have said she'd good, so I'll try.
  23. I missed when he was banned. I was aware of people being tired of him/him getting on people's nerves, but wasn't part of any of it. Don't think I ever really engaged in a "chat" with him before he was banned.
