  1. A good way into How I Met Your Mother season 1 now. It's good, like Ashley said, the characters are endearing. The only character I'm not 100% sold on is Robin, she seems to be the only one lacking spark. Like you know she's an actress playing a role. Plus (nitpicking) it's really unrealistic, and just plain weird, that a guy would go into so much detail about his past sex life while talking to his kids in the future. :p
  2. I'd want to live in New York if I could instantly be accepted into joke circles of poor, but jolly, artists and musicians, like in a film or something. I loved it when I went *gasp* almost 2 years ago.
  3. I think the best "reference"-joke AR ever had in terms of OMGhowfuckingrandom is one I think in Season 3 where it's a shot of Michael
  4. ^ I love Music Has The Right To Children, but haven't explored anything else by BoC. I should get on that.
  5. Mad Men's so high on my list. I've heard it's too good. But then so is The Wire, and I never finished S1...it was too no-let-up, and I kinda slipped in watching it. Brilliant though.
  6. I've heard such conflicting things about Skins...I've never watched more than an episode (on the plane, half-heartedly) and wasn't impressed, but obvs. won't judge it on that. Is it actually any good?
  7. I liked that (you've posted it at least 3 times now though...). It reminded me of when a game or movie or something redesigns an established entity in a "dark" way. I can imagine a great Pokemon game on Wii with those designs.
  8. Mine's 3 pages so I shan't. Just imagine a really intelligent, sexy, cool person having loads of fun, and that's basically it.
  9. Okay, totally into Walking Dead now. It's like, issue after issue after issue etc. I love how it's so uncompromising. It's like..."Death; accept it. Quick". What was the thing you said would happen ReZ, cause I'm on 17 right now and lots of things have happened. (i.e OMGGXXXZ bits)
  10. Stargirl! My favourite. Smallville's certainly very different to when I last watched it.
  11. Mine's Henry Robert Eric McKay Gray. Henry cause...it's a name my parents found in a book. Then Grandfather, uncle and weird-family-middlename-tradition respectively. We're (my mum's side) all called McKay. I suppose it's longer than average, but then if you're going to have middle names, may as well have a few.
  12. I'm gonna get this going again this weekend, just had lots of work to do, so yeah.
  13. Sugababes have sunk so low. It's horrendous. I've expressed my hate for Fireflies before, though it's lessened, slightly. Is it doing well over here? I try and avoid radio these days.
  14. I read that as peasant. I lol'd. It still makes sense that way too. In other news; after perusing Sleeveface for a bit, I decided I wanted to start a record collection. I have loads of CD's, and sure I'd have to get a record player again (had one, but my uncle wanted it back...), and the music couldn't go on my iPod (without lots of shitty compression), but I love the physicality of big vinyls.
  15. If you watch her last music video she smiles through that. (IIRC)
  16. I don't think I've seen it mentioned, but I wondered if anyone else has been listening to IRM by Charlotte Gainsbourg? It's her new album, produced by Beck (he features in a few songs vocally too), and is just really good/nice. ^ New single/video
  17. I've tried, but I still have no idea what use anyone would have with this.
  18. My favourite thing. Horses and fire. It's like how Avatar would have been 10x better if they'd extended the shot of the "horse" on fire, since it was best thing.
  19. Well no, I understand that it's not going to SPOIL much, and as you and Dan said, is just to get you all like "OMG" beforehand. But I prefer to have no prior knowledge of anything. It's like someone said with the "PREVIOUSLY" bits, any little thing can tell you what's coming up. I'd just rather be completely blank. Plus it's BSG, I don't need to be ramped up, I know it'll be awesome. :p
  20. Well, I get what you're saying (and believe you, since I've seen it), but I'd much rather just NOT know what's coming. Thinking you know what's coming then being outwitted is a joke occasionally, but...no. There's just no risk whatsoever if you cover your eyes.
  21. What we can't see can't spoil us. So say we all.
  22. how i met your mother - Season 1, Episodes 1-...5 or something. I hate the non-capitalisation of the logo. I don't mind lowercase stuff normally, but lowercase "i"'s piss me off, cause they're never used otherwise etc. Anyway. It's amusing, I like it. Obviously not Arrested Development, but nice little episodes of fun goings-on. I was thinking about how it sitcoms there often isn't much "development" so to speak, rather tou have to get to learn about/love the characters, so it's probably not best to watch them all on DVD, cause I assume it's not building to any big storylines or anything.
  23. Tap at my window. Maybe I might let you in. (if you bring those CD's with you)
  24. I don't understand. If he'd learnt his cues I'd be more impressed.
  25. Because Chris Cornell realised what a fool he sounded working with Timbaland on his last album?
