Valkyrie stuns. She's so amusing. I might read Irredeemable Ant-Man...I enjoyed him in Thunderbolts and now this. I also loved how Moon Knight and Black Widow (the two shites) were beaten off-panel. Did you hear about the upcoming newest addition to the main Avengers roster?

Tell me the visual thing? I have no intention in reading Moon Knight. --- Secret Avengers is very cool. I love how you'd expect them to be all covert on earth, like breaking into buildings and wasting without anyone seeing, but instead they're in space, battling a mega-cosmic threat. But still no one on earth knows. So it kinda still makes sense. Just a really cool way to turn it on it's head. I love the team so much too. A lot more than the other Avenger teams atm. Commander Rogers ("Yes, I am still great.") Beast ("The X-Men remind me of shite these days.") Valkyrie ("Fuck ye.") Moon Knight ("Why am I even here? There's no need. But a white costume is everything.") And the rest add. -- I did end up buying those Psylocke books. And it's direct prequel: As much as I hate Land, I am partial to this cover. I think he should just stick to covers as they generally look fine with glossy tracings from magazines/models standing in strange poses.

Is that the 2 Pints of Lager/My Family guy? Ralph Little or something?

Oh ok, I was thrown off by "appearance", as in this is what the characters would look like, all cartoony with the same kinda arms and stuff as your drawings. When you actually meant hair and clothes etc. OK.

In lieu of Post Your Purchases Thread, just bought: £3.something Bargain! This is shaping up into a seriously amazing series. And I can tell why it's meant to be Morrison's "best". So far it's been sensational. I love Lord Fanny the most. A little info for those interested. I was also about to buy Psylocke and X-Men: Sisterhood in a Betsy Braddock-induced frenzy. Then I remembered that Psylocke itself is too expensive for what it has inside (4 issues worth), when X-Men Supernovas, which I really want, has like 14 issues, and is less than a pound more. And I know Sisterhood is so-so with Greg Land art, but I like the story in concept, and I feel like I need more Psylocke in my life (and I never read the story in full).

Well I think I damaged them. My eyesight was getting worse (I'm now slightly short-sighted), and slowly I started to hate having the hair in front of my eyes, it hurt and gave me headaches. Just thinking about it makes my eyes feel sore. Maybe it wasn't the hair that did it, but it didn't help.

I like a lot of them. All the sculpts are shite. I don't get why they're shite nowadays, but seriously. What's this digital sculpting worth if it makes stuff look crap? I hate the common Spidey being so aggressive. I love Chameleon.

It kinda lowers the tone of everything else chosen though. --- Just bought The Fountain in preparation! I actually always meant to buy this, so now's as good a time as any.

Lol, I'll check that out. I hardly ever watch commentaries unless it's a brilliant film/episode.

Dodson was the only X-artist in recent memory I actually enjoy the art of. I know it's a bit sleek and cheesecakey RE: the women, but I appreciate a defined style. The current stuff by Whilce Portacio is so generic. And whoever does Legacy too. Land is...yeah. You're awful.

Apart from being bald, I think I have the worst possible hair a man can get. (I personally don't see what's wrong with being bald, but then I'm not and people understandably don't like it when they are) It has no shape. It's neither curly nor straight, just this mass. It's incredibly dry, so it looks like matted doll's hair. It's all bouncy like curly hair though, so it kinda floats above my head. I don't know how people have hair that looks "normal" and shiny. When I straighten it (I do this less nowadays I have my hair shorter) it just looks like a wool hat/wig. This was all true before I dyed it and started straightening it too. I also look much better with a fringe, but I've damaged my eyes from when I had a fringe all the time past/on my eye line, and now I physically can't bear having a fringe near my eyes. My forehead also gets really sweaty by having a fringe (probably cause my hair is like dolls hair/a wig), so that's a no-no. [/rant]

I'll play. Haven't played in a mafia game for about a year I think.

Yeah, but I genuinely am not interested (enough). The entire concept of the GL corps just doesn't appeal to me. It's like...the reason I don't read Punisher or something. I have no interest at all. I might give it a try if everyone starts screaming like "The best thing ever!". He's gone to Ireland. Dunno if he brought his laptop. You'd think so though.

Eh. I only ever liked Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern because he some sort of personality (Unsure, not feeling worthy of having the title etc), and with Hal Jordan I'm just not bothered. He was far more interesting as Spectre (from my experience). I've not given their main series enough time, but I'm just not interested in the Green Lantern Corps on any level. Maybe If I read it I would be. But I can't be arsed acquiring a million comics , and definitely not buying them.

Well I'm still reading his R.I.P, and it's not amazing, but still pretty enjoyable. I think I may just be so used to his stuff that I kinda "pick out" the concepts, or actively just try and work out what's going on if it's not as obvious as in most other comic books. I think I also treat it as though he's done everything for a reason and to just consider what that reason would be. A healthy dose of fanboyism. :P But no, his Batman stuff isn't his best, but I like how it's a huge big throwback to pre-crisis Batman stories in general. I didn't mean it like that, just that there's you guys who love GL and me who has NO interest.

I agree. I think it's generally regarded as (is) good, but the content itself may not be to everyone's taste. I just have a feeling Daft might like it. He may be a Green Lanterner like you guys in the end though. :p --- Also - Chris Bachalo is returning to X-Men for (at least) the Storm and Gambit one-shot during this vampire storyline. I'm already aroused. I hope the fact Dazzler is standing there is an indicator that she'll be a main character soon. She's not been an X-Man proper since the 80's, and has been in limbo since then, only recently coming back to any sort of prominence. I'd be glad to see her on the main roster. She was in the Hellbound team with Northstar (someone else who could do with being on a main roster too).

Which outfit? Her famous one or her new one? I assume you mean her famous one. She's currently in this brand new one: Which looks better in action/in the comics than it does there. She's just been "relaunched" with a new kinda origin, and she's relearning all her powers and mythology (an attempt to gain new readers who are scared off by not knowing her backstory/ies). it's very cool so far. And technically her name is no worse than Batman and Superman, they just have a better ring. And she's a product of World War II, and they had to pack as much americana/inspiration into the character as possible. Wonder Woman is far more of an attention-grabbing name than Diana. Even though, yes, it would make more sense she'd keep her own name. Obviously. --- Daft if you're into symbolism and stuff tying together philosphical concepts and superheroic archtypes, you should read almost anything by Grant Morrison. He's my fave/the best. (I know I've said this already, but I think you might actually like it)

A stunner/I quite like it. I prefer URAQT and Sunshowers from that album though. U R A QT Is your dad a dealer? Cause you're dope to me

I'm already bored of this series and I've never watched it.

Horrible photo of me, and it's nowhere near a hug, but...

Well yeah, I hope it isn't just doing the inspirational speeches all the time. I actualy thought that the first issue would have been more thought-provoking had that woman decided to kill herself. But then I suppose the point is showing Superman saving people in "different ways".

No-one responded when I asked if anyone'd read JMS new Wonder Woman, but has anyone started his new Superman at all? Just read 701, the start of Grounded. I like the concept of the story, but we'll see how it plays out. Completely different to what's going on in Wonder Woman atm. Wondy's full throttle and action-packed, why Superman is peaceful.
