  1. I have to agree with Ryuk slightly *sky turns red, ground shakes, empires fall*, Catwoman is hardly a "shit" film, it's just quite horribly bad and I'm sure a lot of people would dislike it. Shit films are those like the Friedchicken & Selzter or whatever movies, like Disaster Movie, Epic Movie etc. But Catwoman isn't painful to watch or anything. It is what it is, let's just deal with it.
  2. Some of those are crap, some are brilliant. The Shazam/Captain Marvel one and Venom are particularly great.
  3. That describes most of the Twilight franchise.
  4. Replace that with GL/Invincible/Wolf-Man memorabilia and that is ReZ's dream. :p
  5. Hmm yeah, it's like...I can laugh at "AIDS jokes" (if they're funny, not just cause it's AIDS obvs) but then I know a guy/family friend who basically watched his group of best friends die around him in the early 90's due to AIDS. He has an aura of sadness. We all get offended by different things/are emotionally involved with different things and we just have to go with the flow of dealing with it.
  6. I have that aftershave/cologne/Ralp Lauren Polo stuff. However, I 100% prefer spray ones. These ones feel like they're going more on my hands than my actual body. I also have the gorillapod!
  7. You're a sick fuck if you haven't seen Black Swan yet. Considering you started the thread about it. I think you'll prefer The Fighter though.
  8. Less is more sometimes.
  9. Queen bitch.
  10. u r wyz u r worme u r curajus And I love you more than I ever have in my whole life. Happy birthday.
  11. Yeah, the trailer makes it seem much more "about boxing" than it feels whilst watching. What is 100% more important in the film are the characters and their individual influences of Micky (Wahlberg) and their relationships/lives etc. Similar to The Wrestler in that sense I suppose. But yeah, I bet I wouldn't have initiated going to see it. I would have been more likely to have organised a trip to go see Rabbit Hole. But for once I didn't have to organise stuff and was just invited (which is more...inviting. Plus I'd heard stunning things so I was a great temptation).
  12. I fell out of a stationary car, hurting my toe. I love though, I was like half out, perched on the edge of the car door vacant opening yeah shut up and then like awkwardly propelled myself foward without moving my feet for some reason, causing me to land on the pavement. Completely sober too. Second time I'm fallen dramatically in front of the same people I was with, getting off at the same place. I've hurt my toe, but my fear of toes/nails/toenails is preventing me from looking at it.
  13. As defining images of what the X-Men are about conceptually, it doesn't come much more dramatic than this: Couldn't find a better quality one, but yeah.
  14. I saw this film tonight. The trailer didn't grab me particularly, nor did it repel me. I was most interested due to the hype it had been getting RE: the actual acting performances. I thought it was very good, and yeah, the performances from all involved REALLY stand-out as "yes.". Arguably Wahlberg was the least "!!!" of the lot, but then it worked fine/he was still good. Sharp script, good pacing, and great characterisation of all involved. Avoiding the cliches in terms of painting a character as just an archtype. The mother and the millions of sisters were hilariously vicious. Amy Adams stunned me too - I know she was nominated for best supporting actress for Doubt, but I was pretty clueless as to why, she barely did anything of note in that film. Here she's awesome. Obviously it's Bale that has been getting most notice from this film and he does stun. Hard to imagine this guy being Batman - which is of course a sign of a good actor. I heartily recommend. Considering I'm ambivalent towards boxing, it's not REALLY the central focus, similarly to how Black Swan isn't really a "ballet" film. Anyone else seen it? It wasn't the be-all and end-all, but I think it was a very good film, considering the film could have been wallowing in cliches from its inception (Boxing, family loyalty issues blah blah, but it stuns.).
  15. Where does it come from? Feels like the image could be more stunning.
  16. I love joss Whedon's willingness to use jokes. Maria Hill is so essentch too.
  17. Less than a month to go... I'm so ready. I know nothing about the game, apart from a cursory look over the new 'mons ages ago which I've now forgotten. I'm going in blind and I love the smell of it.
  18. I love. This will be the sort of things going on in my films when I'm an inevitably successful director.

    Marketing

That's a funny one...I assume the top one is playing on the standard appearance of teen movie posters.

    Marketing

Ja I know, I just found it strange that this film was marketed differently after being marketed one way earlier on. (Or at least not as heavily targeted towards one type of person) (it's not a perfect example but yeah)
  21. That is UMAR, you'd do well to remember it. The one brave enough to take on Silver Surfer and do it well. [/reference for Chair]
  22. Yeah. Way better than episode 1, but maybe it's just what you said, getting used to it being bad. Grace was so stunning as a "metalhead".
