I agree, he's becoming one of my favourite players. He has a real confidence in him this year which has put him a class above what he was last year. Hleb hasn't done too bad this season either!

We have the football thread, which is extremely active, but I have noticed that not many other sports are mentioned on here, apart from the occasional F1 thread or rugby which pops up every so often and other random events. Therefore, I have created this general sports thread for any sport that isn't football! Cricket, Rugby, Tennis, Lawn Bowls, whatever interests you, post it in here! To start off, has anyone been watching the athletics? Us Brits didn't do too bad in it. What do you think about Christine Ohorugu's situation (missed 3 drugs tests so is banned from the olympics). Personally, I feel she should be allowed, as her mistake was through pure stupidity, not avoiding tests because she was actually on drugs.

So are there any weaknesses in your squad Ant, or do Liverpool have an absolutely perfect squad, as that seems to be what you're implying.

Tis only 4 games in Ant, don't get too over excited. There'll be many twists thorughout the season. You never know, Benitez might get cocky and start rotating his whole team every match just like the past couple of years.

I agree they haven't been utter crap since then, they just haven't had the success they achieved in the 80's, and everyone compares it back to that.

Never heard of any of them. Not that I'm into rap music though.

We have played someone proper. Pompey are a strong team with plenty of experienced players who I would consider "proper", we have beaten Man City, who had the best start to the season out of any team (until the last couple of games), and we got a draw away to Blackburn, which is an improvement on what we would have done last year. The only reason you have such a good goal difference is becuase you have played Derby. Arsenal haven't really conceded a normal goal yet either, 2 mistakes from Lehmann and a lucky Kanu backheel is all we've conceded. Don't get too cocky.

Fresher came in, started talking about sex and generally was weird in the MPT thread, typed some sensible stuff but then turned on Ashley and knew of previous banned users I think, so Shorty banned him, I think.

Glad your back Ashley, would have been a real shame if you were banned for real.

Exactly, I'm sure he was doing it for the good of the forums. I wouldn't have thought he would abuse his powers and look through everyones PMs.

I hope Ashley comes back. He was one of the nicest members I have talken to in my short time here. He was extremely helpful to me by resizing my avatar for me when i first posted a week and a half ago. OK, I just read through that banned users thread, what he did may have been wrong, but I feel he is too valuable to these forums to be banned. Maybe just take away his admin powers?
