I've had it a few times, from multiple stores, where your disc isn't in right. Ultimately, it's not the website/shop's fault if the product is still sealed when you get it. They've not removed the disc themselves, and can't really be held accountable. Better to contact the publisher of the game/dvd/cd about a replacement if it's scratched beyond use.

Sweeney Todd (blu-ray) - 8.5/10 ----------------- Funny, dark, charming, disturbing, bloody, creepy, entertaining, and sing-along-able. Johnny Depp is as great as usual, with a strong supporting cast, incredible visuals and an outstanding musical score. Proof that two seemingly opposed genres can mix!

I bet nobody here even remembers me, but... I bought a Mikuru Figure! She's standing next to my President figure now. My Haruhi figure is a different make, and about twice as tall as Mikuru. Looked too wierd having them next to each other.

Probably already mentioned, but now this site will be called Wii-Europe. That made me snort milk out of my nose.

I do that, but mostly when: 1)I just dont know what to say 2)I dont care what the other person is saying, but feel rude for not replying.

I think they also look at in long term appeal. It's great, yeah, but will you honestly be playing it three months down the line? I've barely touched my other Wario Ware games since "finishing" them in the past, they hold very little long term appeal for me, and thats something I would mark a game down for.

Yeah, that's why it got 87%. That's a good score, laddie. Anything over 85% is pretty much guaranteed to be fantastic.

I find it hard to get hyped over Nintendo machines lately. I was majorly hyped over the N64, and loved it. For the first few months. Then reality hit home - few games, overpriced, no real RPGs, not a whole lot worth actually buying. The GC was supposed to be the anti-N64, and I got far too hyped. It's had some nice RPGs, but the majority of the "big" games (Starfox, Mario, Metroid) haven't done anything for me whatsoever. I'll get a Revo, but I dont want to get carried away this time. Oh well, I'm in my twenties now, so maybe my head is screwed on a bit better.

No Breath of Fire 3 or Tales of Eternia yet? Grr. -
Saints Row looks totally lame, IMHO. Now Blue Dragon... *drool* I cancelled my FFXI order though... as much as I'd love it, I just don't have the time to invest into a MMORPG TT_TT I love the beta, but I only get about 2 hours a week on it.

My Jpnese PSP has loads :-p Still, you can only see em on black screens, and I prefer light games anyway. Tales of Eternia is beautiful. The towns are just gorgeous.
-
I'm getting Eternia first, since I already had BoF3 on PSone.

I never paid that much attention to toy crazes. I remember My Little Pony and Polly Pocket being huge in the 80's or early 90's tho, and the pogs fad when I was at high school. As I was leaving college, I think the whole "skateboard" thing was just on the horizon.

Am I the only one who thought the drawings were, well, a bit poor?

This is Chandra's avatar on TGN, so I'm assuming this is what we can roughly expect issue one to look like.

Okay, wasn't really sure which forum to post this in, there doesn't seem to be a forum which is just for gaming but without the specific-console focus... Anyway, I'm an RPG fan. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that as RPG fans in Europe, we've had it pretty damned rough over the years. The SNES had some of the highs (Terranigma) and a great many lows (no Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Earthbound etc), and the N64 had all of two *real* RPGs that I can think of over here (Holy Magic Century and Aidyn Chronicles. Maybe Goemon at a stretch). However, with Sony's Playstation bringing us RPGs that would likely have not made it over here had they been on N64 - FFVII, Wild Arms, Suikoden et al, and the positively overwhelming number of PS2 RPGs on the shelves (Wild Arms 3, FFX, FFX-2, Arc, Legaia 2, Makai Kingdom, Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Xenosaga 2, .Hack, Star Ocean...) is it unreasonable of me to think that the West does indeed have a place in it's heart for these most Japanese of games? Are these games finally getting the recognition and acceptance that we've so long desired? It seems so, with Dragon Quest VIII promised to arrive in the next few months, along with other titles such as Atelier Iris and Suikoden V also confirmed for Europe. Just wondering what everyone made of this, really. I think that we've really never had it better for RPGs in Europe, and I definitely look forward to future announcements for European versions of Disgaea 2, Blue Dragon, Baten Kaitos 2, Tales of The Tempest (oh yeah, we've got Phantasia and Eternia coming this year, huh?) and all. Discuss. Also up for debate is Nintendo's attitude to RPGs - do you think that we'll see many on Revolution? What about the multitudes of DS RPGs on the way - will they make it over here?

I thought it was pretty average :-p

Anyone here play FFXI in Bastok?

If Microsoft made a handheld, it'd probably be touch screen. It'd have to be, to utilise the windows-based frontend. Of course, they'd need to work hard to make it more than just a games-oriented palmtop. It should have tilt sensors inside it as standard, as well as the touch screen.
