Amen to that! -
Yup, for certain games I like to be the first to get the platinum. Not in the world of course, but on here :p Won't be possible any longer, though, as I rarely find the time to play I think that's the edge that achievements/trophies have over stamps. As long as they aren't secret you can see what you have to do. And mostly it's side quests/missions, certain challenges, etc. They add to the game. And with that comes the competitive side: "Finish game on ultra, mega, super hard". Do that, compare with your friends and then rub it in their face. Nintendo needs to give us a screen where you can see what you have to do to get the stamps and let us compare them.

I may try to mimic that announcer's voice and incorporate it into my daily life. -

It's 23p.m. over here. As always, I suck with time zones and think the direct starts now. I feel stupid. -
A year and a half ago I quit my job and 6 months later I started my studies at university. What can I say...it has been the very first major decision in my life that I made for me and it proves to be the best thing I have ever done. : peace: Haven't been really happy since my father died, but right now I can say: I am happy. I've met so many great people and a lot of them have become good friends. I've met a beautiful woman two weeks ago and we have a date next week. I'm enjoying my lectures and courses (most of them :p). Life is good.

Met a girl two weeks ago. We were both drunk, I didn't ask for her number and I couldn't remember her surname so there was no way to for me to get in touch with her Last Saturday she found me on Facebook, we chatted for a bit and 10 minutes later: Number get! Tomorrow we'll both be at a party and she told me today that she'll buy me a drink. She also told me that I'm a good looking man.

Love the driving. It's part arcade, part simulator. Perfect fit for me. However, the game itself seems to depend on the social aspect too much. As long as the servers continue to suck the game probably won't click with me. That's why I still haven't touched the game after the first 30 minutes a couple of days ago.
-
Done the first race. Driving mechanics are cool. Will definitely enjoy the game. Penalty system needs to be changed. And as long as the servers aren't up I won't continue playing.

Phew. The past 4 days have been exhausting. But in a good way The semester is about to start (next Monday) and the past week has been some kind of 'introductory week' for freshmen. A mate and I were responsible for a group of 12 freshmen. We had to show them the university buildings, show them around town, tell them how everything works (exams, lectures, etc)... Then there were several tours through Biological/Biotechnological institutions. And parties...maaaaany parties I've only slept for a total of 6 hours from Monday to Thursday It has been an amazing week though. Met so many great people, had a lot of fun. Would do it again and hopefully will do it again next year. : peace: Today our group will have a nice little dinner and watch some movies tonight. Just a relaxing day to finish this week

But isn't the Wii U version of Smash supposed to be out in November? Currently there's no way to avoid Smash's blast radius I think I'll buy this for my Wii U despite me wanting to wait for the PS4/Vita version. The game is supposed to be awesome and I love 2D retro-style platformers. A double dip is very very probable : peace:

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the only game on a Sony platform from that list is FIFA. Awesomenauts: PC Counter Strike: PC Battlefield: PC Destiny: XBone So I am not the one who brought up Sony. Also: I know people have issues with games, never said otherwise. I just wanted to show you that the problems with Smash are probably not at my mate's and my end as you suggested. And which is more probable: The fact that every other game I play with an online component works perfectly fine but Smash doesn't, so it's a problem at my end... or the fact that every game works fine but Smash doesn't, so it may be a problem at Nintendo's end? (my mate and I have different internet providers...so probably not their fault) There seems to be some kind of problem, but as a consumer there's only so much I can try to fix that. It's great that everything works fine for you and many others, but my mate and I are not the only ones who have issues, and I highly doubt that only people from Germany have issues. And reading around the net, there are people who have problems 1v1. It appears you may think I'm only bashing Nintendo, and yes - due to my bad wording - it does seem like it but it wasn't meant to be, sorry about that. It's just a valid criticism about yet another attempt at online from Nintendo which turns out to be not good enough and I highly doubt they will do anything to change/improve that. That annoys me. Happy to be proven wrong. The rest of the game is good, though.

Nothing wrong. Been playing Awesomenauts, Counter Strike and FIFA today. No problems, no lags, nothing My mate is currently playing Destiny: No problems. He has played Battlefield and FIFA today: No problems. We both tried Smash (1vs1, 4 player brawl, together and alone)...horrible.
-
That's a secret. I may join you and see if it's any better with you on your godforsaken island :p Edit: You have to add my friend code, though
-
Pretty much played 1vs1 matches exclusively. And I can only recall one which was at least playable. Anyway, wasn't expecting a fully functional online mode for the 3DS anyway. But it seriously has to be much, much better for the Wii U version.
-
I think it heals you when you time the button press perfectly...not sure, though. Zero Suit Samus seems to be a nice choice for 1vs1 matches. Still haven't decided who will be my main
-
Well, it appears I was wrong. Still doesn't make Smash's attempt at online any better. It is horrendous. I've spent some more time with it now and quite frankly it's embarrassing. I mean...I live about 2 km away from my mate...and the matches we had were unplayable. But it's Nintendo, aye? @Rummy Nintendo is god. :p You're right...on a Nintendo platform...it really is amazing :p Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Tear me apart. I speak bad of Nintendo again. Wii Fit Trainer is weird. I hate her but I kinda like her. Mega Man is underwhelming to say the least. PacMan...a fucking beast
-
I see. But hell, ASBR pulled it off so Smash should be able to, as well. Have played a couple of online matches against a mate who lives a 10 minute walk away from me. It lagged like crazy. Played a 1vs1 match online with a stranger, barely noticeable lags. It's just stupid. Unlocked two more characters right now. : peace:
-
There's really no excuse why the Wii U shouldn't have it. But I highly doubt we'll see the option of comparing stats. Any words on leaderboards? Online customization should also be a given. A couple of filters would be great (e.g. match size, stages, stock, time, etc) Not holding my breath for any of those, though. Having a blast with the 3DS version. Won't use the online much for obvious reasons, but the game itself is great. A nice "little" teaser for the Wii U version.
