  1. Life is not easy these days, but sometimes you just gotta appreciate the good things. Got a wonderful weekend ahead of me. A mate will pick me up in a few hours and then we'll spend the next three days at his place playing video games (most likely CoD:MWIII and Remnant 2). We may also meet up with other friends tonight to go out and dance. Next Wednesday- unless my medical examination on Tuesday results in an immediate need for treatment - I'll be sitting on a plane to Milan to visit two friends I haven't seen in years. Fingers crossed that everything goes well
  2. While yes, it's still behind, it's "only" 1 mil. And regarding "no signs of catching up": In the US (quite a competitive region), the PS5 is now ahead of PS4 sales when aligned , Sure, it may end up like this, but given current statistics I don't see how we can "safely assume" that this will be the end result.
  3. Think I'm gonna send in my Deck for repairs. The right bumper has started to feel a little...weird? I have to push down on it quite a bit before it registers a button press. It technically works, but it's not ideal and might turn into a bigger problem in the long run. Got an RMA approved and will get further instructions (sounds ominous, but that's how they word it ) soon. It should take about 2 weeks, so if I send it out on Monday I may get the device back once I'm back from vacation
  4. Yup. Bought it and played it for two hours with a mate just now. So far, it's much better than the first. Feels smoother, gunplay is satisfying and I have a dog After the tutorial we entered our first world, fought some enemies, destroyed a giant root which spawned more enemies and encountered a puzzle...two grown men spent 25 minutes solving that shit. Got a cool bow out of it, which is quite nice. A few minutes later, a battle with a few cannon fodder enemies and one freaking archer that rained fire from the sky ended in death. Good times Sadly, we encountered some connection issues which could only be resolved by restarting our consoles. Hope this won't happen too often.
  5. For some PS5 co-op goodness: For some Steam Deck goodness: For some onigiri goodness:
  6. I don't know about toxic, but I definitely think it's irrelevant. When I watch Champions League or NFL or NBA I always see ads for PS5. Not sure if I've ever seen an ad for an XBox Series
  7. For some reason, I still don't fully understand the game Probably because I need to get used to types and their interactions. Haven't progressed the story much as there are quite a few quests in this - some of them are fetch quests, some of them are more "involved". Think I'll just farm some exp for a while to level up The way it works in this is: Only the human characters have levels (I assume up to 100) and whenever you level up your stats increase. The monsters only have 5 (?) "levels" (stars) and once they are maxed you can evolve remaster them which increases their stats. Human stats + monster stats = total stats. I think. Only remastered my starter so far. It's pretty cool. turns into I had a choice when I remastered it, though. I assume there's one more path to take with that mon. Which means there must be ways to get more of this starter and probably even the others 3 hours in and I'm enjoying my time with it a lot
  8. PS Portal outsold Xbox Series in Spain last week so...there's no coming back from this
  9. What I will say about Cassette Beasts: It drains the Steam Deck's battery like crazy... At 99% charge games like Astral Ascent have a projected battery life of around 5.4h while Cassette Beasts only reaches 3.2h. Had to tweak some settings in-game and via the Steam Deck and increased it by one hour. Still, I wish the game was optimized a little better. There are some occasional frame drops. Granted, they aren't a huge deal in a game like this but still annoying.
  10. Cassette Beasts Played it for an hour and...so far, so good. Battle system is interesting but I've only scratched its surface, of course. A little confused as to why there hasn't been a tutorial or a cheat sheet for types and how they interact, yet. A certain mechanic has just been revealed to me and I did not know about it before. Definitely came as a surprise. And a good one at that Love how "catching" new monsters works: You can attack as much as you like, the monsters won't disappear while being recorded. That's awesome! My only problem: I ran out of empty tapes and currently have no means to acquire more. BUT I WANT TO RECORD THEM ALL. Anyways, here's my favourite monster so far: Love that little guy! I should go to sleep, but I won't. Gotta keep playing
  11. Ok, no more new games for me...
  12. Who gives a damn about the stupid Switch version But yeah, I always check if a game runs well and properly on the Steam Deck and Cassette Beats apparently does
  13. Shit, there is a Steam sale... Gonna have to limit myself to a certain amount of money Think I'm just gonna go with Cassette Beasts. I need a game on my Steam Deck that is not a roguelike
  14. Quick and easy (yes, it's called Jet Rider in Europe)
  15. Fair warning: It's janky But once you get used to the controls, the "floatiness" of the vehicle and the grappling mechanic it is quite satisfying. The music in this game is hilarious. You go from... ...to... ...to...
  16. Yeah, there's so much potential that's being wasted I'm playing Jet Moto right now and holy hell, it wasn't easy winning a championship Some of the tracks are very unforgiving. The rewind feature is a godsend Here's a drahkon pro-tip™: if a sign is telling you to slow down, you should slow down or you'll end up dead
  17. True. I was lucky to get another year of PS+ Premium for a reasonable price, but if the Premium sub will continue being this lackluster in 2024 I'll definitely downgrade to Extra (which has been great value for me so far). Yup. I wonder if the rumours of them working on a better PS2 emulator (and even a PS3 one) are true, as well. I highly doubt it, though.
  18. But that would probably result in even less games on the service. I doubt that many publishers would want to go through the trouble of adding trophies Eh, it's a shame with Grandia. If I ever want to play it again I might just emulate it on my Steam Deck for convenience
  19. Yeah, I think I'm gonna drop it too. Maybe taking a break from the Yakuza style games will help. Gonna get back to it next year (if it's still on PS+ then).
  20. Phew, so that first chapter drags on and on and on... If this is how the detective part plays, I hope there won't be stuff like this in every chapter. It's painfully boring to play.
  21. Awesome! I recently watched videos of Jet Moto and... This was a lie. I was thinking about Jet Moto 2 Still, can't wait to give the first one a go! Still now news since your post
  22. Not looking at the spoilers but you guys are talking about boobs, right?
