  1. It may help the topic if you tell the forum what type of TV and cabling you are using. Obviously coupling a componant cable with an HDTV via 480p will cause jaggies on a similar level to what is present in most wii games. However, if you are using an Advanced Scart (RGB) cable on a smaller CRT TV the issue will certainly be less pronounced.

Additionally the console based versions of GTA San Andreas did not feature anti-aliasing which makes thin objects such as telephone wires break up and cause the 'jaggyness' effect that you are experience. Unfortuantly this is the issue for all owners of the game regardless of the cabling and television set being used. After viewing a few screenshots and videos online it seems this is indeed the case.

One course of action you could take is to call Rockstar Games on +01(410)933-9191. Incidentally the company is based in New York so call charges are likely to be fairly expensive, however they may be in a better position to respond to your query in a quick and concise manner.

Hope this was of some help :)

  2.

WAKE UP TO REALITY I HATE SONY FANS AND MICROSOFT FANS BECAUSE THERE DUM AND STUPID AND CANNOT SEE WHATS GOING ON

Per chance, do you fit in this category?

You're dumb enough to be unable to spell dumb and you're stupid enough to administer incorrect usage of the "caps lock" key. You also clearly went to a school where punctuation and grammer were omitted from the criteria.

  3. Can anyone help me... I'm going to buy a 120gb iPod from Comet in a deal with a surround sound system for £130, so I'm going to sell my old one...

It's a white 30gb 5th gen model. Boxed with USB cable but no headphones.

It's 3 years old and in good working order, however it's cosmetically scratched and has an imprint across the screen as the picture shows.

It's in top working order though and has never let me down in the 3 years I've owned it. Battery usually lasts a good 10-13 hours on a full charge...

So, what's roughly it worth techoheads??

    Thanks

  4. Looking for bits a pieces for a gamecube, namely...

    - official pad (not wavebird),

    - large memory card,

    - a freeloader disc

    - cheap games NTSC or PAL (what have you got?)

    Cheers.

In my collection I already have F-Zero, Luigi's Mansion, Zelda WW, Starfox, Starwars II and III, Mario Sunshine, Waverace, Viewtiful Joe.

  5. I prefer the Nintendo approach of delaying it, and delaying it some more, until it's ready and near-perfect. I'm probably in the minority here though.

I am sooo hyped for ConTWOit right now. ;)

I'm in that minority too. So many games get rushed before meeting strict release targets and inevetably the games suffer overall. Remember how much Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros Brawl got pushed back. You can't rush perfection.

I'm also massively hyped for the Contwoit

  6. I see Retro_Link is developing a disliking to Brawn GP.

Yeah I've noticed, a bit unfair really as it's not exactly Schumacher/Ferrari circa 2002... yet ;)

I'm looking forward to what will probably be a good race tomorrow, with some rain 10 laps from the end.

  7. Anyone who wants this buy it now for only £19.71 at ASDA!

Picked it up today and while I think it's much better than '08 I'm still not 100% adjusted to the idea of playing football with the Wii-mote. It's very hard at first but I'm sure I'll get there eventually. I'll post my FC later for some online fun.

  8. Well done to Vettel for grabbing the pole. It's going to be an interesting race with everyone 'observatating' Vettel from behind.

It wouldn't surprise me if the top 3 were fuelled lightly. Guess we'll find out ina couple of hours.

  9. No I can't blame you! I'd love to see this on Wii, it's one of my favourtie GC titles. I'd prefer a sequal but it would be good if more people could expereince it through new play control. I'm happy with the GC version though so I'd personally give it a miss.

  10. As IGN pointed out in the podcast this week, it wouldn't work as the suction and blowing motion on the vaccum required the analogue control of the L and R buttons of the Gamecube pad. The Wii has no analogue buttons so it would be very tricky to pull it off well, unless nintendo have something intuitive up their sleeves.

  11. I think it will add an element of strategy to the game. With Wii Speak its not like you're talking into a headset directly to the other people like the character in the game might be, its more like you're calling out to other people around you. Team mates or enemies. It'll also perhaps end up making teams work together more by staying close together so they can hear each other.

I assumed that in free-for-all you can hear everyone around you (up to six people) but in Team deathmatch you could hear the whole team (which would be up to 6 people). Am I wrong, because this could and certainly would work???
