  1. Sold my turnips today for about 5 million bells - a kind twitter person opened up their island earlier. It's quite easy to find places to sell turnips this way, leaving a tip/furniture piece is a polite way to say thanks.
  2. Yes, you can buy it for miles from the terminal once your town hall gets built.
  3. It's a reconstruction of the original US box art. Although I much prefer the Japanese and European style of no pictures, just the title and logo.
  4. Only thing is you need to buy different path types for Nook Miles, and to terraform rivers and cliffs you also need to buy the separate modules from the Nook machine for miles.
  5. Not the missus, just me. I tried out the terraforming, it's pretty neat. The main use for me so far was to straighten out the rivers a little where I needed to build bridges. This game is very picky about how rivers need to be to build bridges on them, so this tool came in handy.
  6. I suppose if you want specific fish, wait until 13th April.
  7. Similar to Hero I got the credits to roll this morning. After some decorating last night I also got:
  8. 172 bells this morning. I feel that yesterday's 174 might have been my peak...
  9. Interesting, I'm guessing someone will figure out what the best amount to bury is.
  10. Another tip - you'll see a glowing light coming out of the ground in a random spot every day, and if you dig it up you'll get a thousand bells. Don't fill in that hole right away though. Bury 10,000 bells in the hole - this is the maximum amount allowed. This will grow into a money tree a few days later, giving you 3 stacks of 10k bells when fully matured (literally growing on the tree). Seeing as you can plant a money tree daily, once you're up and running that's a sweet 21k profit every day.
  11. No, they don't. Good idea to leave a couple of stumps around though, they attract some specific bugs. Balloon presents sometimes have 5 nuggets in. Other than that, make sure to hit each rock a full 8 times (use the shovel to create holes to stop yourself bouncing back, in case you don't already do that). And going to islands with Nook Miles tickets will often get you another 4 rocks worth of iron/clay/stones. And the occasional gold nugget. When you visit an island and you've hit all rocks for their goodies, you can also destroy each rock for an extra item (by eating a fruit first).
  12. Maybe you can try use it again tomorrow?
  13. Is there an up-to-date guide on turnip price trends? I found some guidance for what seems to be New Leaf (as my current trend doesn't fit any of those mentioned). I wonder even if some kind of tracker might be beneficial to predict the spikes. I'm thinking a Google Sheet or some such.
  14. Hey now, I put some serious work into decorating my island yesterday. Apparently I have too many trees though. Now I have to figure out which ones to chop down while maintaining enough of each kind of fruit tree, all while they're not bearing fruit. Maybe I'll wait until they all bear fruit...
  15. After booting up the game this morning, the extra visitor pushed me to 3 stars. KK, on the way.
  16. Audie should never stop being Audie. This was a very sweet moment.
  17. Unfortunately you can't gift bugs or fish. Visitors can't pick them up either. I assume you're crafting a lot of fish bait? It's really the only effective way to get the cliffside river fish.
  18. I think it's only a matter of time before Mario 64 gets the remaster it deserves. As one of the most important and influential 3D games in history it ought to get the full treatment at some point.
  19. I think it's more S-E covering their backs in case a particular retailer sends copies out by some slow delivery method, or has so many orders that they're slow to getting them all out in time. From the sounds of S-E's communication, they're giving their blessing for retailers to "break" the street date in Europe.
  20. I'd have thought that refers to copies being sent to retailers, since the vast majority of people will not be buying directly from S-E.
