  1. Why would anyone criticising Labour be anything but a good thing?
  2. We already know that you agree with him; no need to keep stating it. OW, bar Goron I'm pretty sure everyone else in this topic can see that you stating certain types of media and art as factually the best is completely wrong. And it's not that you're stating what 'is' the best, independent from your own opinion, as you've not provided some sort of conclusive impartial evidence as to why such films/anime series are the best. You're mistaking what seems obvious (e.g. a critically acclaimed film being better than a huge flop) as something that must be a fact. When really, something that hinges entirely on opinion can never be fact. No matter how good most people think it is, it can never be fact. The only way it could ever be fact is if you petitioned to get the definition of the word 'fact' changed. Oh, and by the way - you did mention a list of the top 10. It was in regard to the top 10 anime series quite a while ago...you said there was a factual top 10 list of anime series. To be honest, it's kinda of bizarre that you claimed I made that up when you even admitted to having made such a list in this very topic: Kind of a bizarre thing to say then, don't you think?

No doubt PS3 slim price reductions/ bundles will pop up too...either way, it's still horrendously overpriced.

Oh dear...£25 cheaper than something that has a Blu Ray player as well as vastly superior components. Silly Sony.
  5. Saying that a widely-considered great film is better than a widely-considered terrible film isn't exactly what he's saying. He's thinks that there is a definite, factual 'top 10' list of film and anime series. And that really is silly.
  6. And yet, he considers the best to be what another group of people have decided. The subjective decision of multiple human beings. Truly silly.
  7. Lol, revised. :p My cat's body contains at least 1 strand of fur.
  8. Yeah, you're probably right. Gmail is probably less well known, especially since UK created e-mails are @Googlemail now. But I would always suggest using something more professional if it was for a CV. They're both a bit amateur, lol.
  9. What the hell? Where is this formula? So you're telling me that there is a formula that determines what are factually the top 10 (and in order) anime series of all time? Surely you can see that you're just talking nonsense now? These are issued by human beings...so it's not factual either. What films are great depends on the person...e.g. a person who loves horror films may think that a horror film is the best film ever. Also, lots of films in your 'top 10' would have loads of awards, so there's no way to say that one is better than the other. Things like art are all about how we subjectively feel towards it. So to say that you should go by some 'objective principles' is, frankly, ridiculous. It's like you're saying objective values such as 'most expensive', 'finest materials', 'greatest number of awards' can all be placed into a formula to determine which sculpture is the best ever. Just nonsense. Then it's completely opinion. It's the opinion of a group of people who believe they are the most knowledgeable when it comes to judging films/anime series/art. The media mentioned all engages with people emotionally...that's how it works. Even if some things about a film are, on paper, better; e.g. greater budget, more awards, better cast - it's completely possible that a film with a small budget but a more endearing story can be seen as better to a number of people. No it isn't...thinking a film is the best thing ever is opinion. It will always be opinion. You can't factually prove something that is a preference. Here is a fact: My cat is covered in fur. Here is an opinion: Die Hard is awesome!
  10. I'd be Bellsprout. What a guy.
  11. Which is what you believe to be the best. No one else says that there is a factual list of what is the best...therefore it's something of entirely your own creation. And therefore, your belief. Which is opinion! Suddenly, a lot of people (globally, as you put it) believing something is great makes it factually the best? A lot of people would argue the contrary. But maybe not as many people. But that doesn't mean a minority group is wrong! What kind of insane way of understanding things is that?
  12. Yes, it would. :p If you're at/graduated from university you should have/get a university e-mail or forwarding e-mail address. They're much better to put on a CV.
  13. Oh dear, lol. Well I guess there's not too many like that, surely. It seems to have pretty bad/average reviews so I guess those trophies would be compensation for those who bought it. :P
  14. Which? I've not come across any particularly easy gold trophies in the games that I own (and I'd say I buy mostly good games). Regarding Viva Pinata... if we're talking about the first one, I found it quite easy to get the achievements on that, as a lot are given away for the most trivial things. I didn't actually get them all (980) since the last one was to have played for a long amount of time (possibly 50 hours). So I guess that shows it's kind of achievable. But really a lot of them just came as I basically played the game.
  15. Gmail and hotmail...seriously, who cares. They're both free e-mails and both would make you look like an amateur if using it in any situation like on a CV.
  16. If you said this while looking in a mirror you would be giving yourself one of the best pieces of advice you could possibly receive. And just so we make this clear; when you said the 'factually best' anime series of all time you had a number of people all telling you that what you believe to be the best is not universally and unquestionably the truth. Get over yourself. You have never proven your point about your silly definitions and why your beliefs are fact. Because there is no way on God's green Earth that you can claim subjective things to be factually 'great' or 'poor', or rank them by how 'factually' good they are. Well that's good, because I still think you're a pretentious, obnoxious brat. And why wouldn't you like me? I don't fit that description. You're someone who has opinions about things that you then try and assert as being factually the best. You like something? Good for you. Discuss it. It's when you tell people that their opinions are laughable/wrong that you come across as a freaking bigot. What's up, developing a conscience?
  17. Well, you could get all the easy achievements in lots of games (and easy games) and these would still add up to a big score. But if you did this on PSN you'd just have a chunky of shitty bronze trophies. I don't think the accumulated level really counts for much...no one has any idea if that means someone is actually good or not, lol (e.g. Level 8).
  18. I think the Gamerscore system is a little worse because it's all adds up to an arbitrary 'score'. As well as that, there's tonnes of 360 games that are really easy to get gamerpoints from (pretty well documented too), which kind of devalues them. Trophies and achievements are only partially fun. It's obvious that some are fun to get, while some are just 'checklist' objectives. Like obtaining X amount of kills with every weapon. I think people that have loaaads of perfect achievement games in their list are clearly doing it for bragging/completionist reasons. Achievements are a mixed bag.
  19. He's still doing this? I remember probably a year ago or more when he was saying "These are the top 5 games of all time. Fact." At least I think it was games. I don't think he understands that his value of certain kinds of media is purely opinion. And even if he thought everyone else was wrong, the last thing you should ever do is actually say this. Because nothing good will every come from that, and you'll just look bigoted.
  20. She's awesome for Eyes On Me in Final Fantasy VIII.

I'm sure it won't be that easy... you probably wouldn't know if people had used the preowned games in shops to get the online code already. The staff at places like gamestation are often nerdy and it wouldn't surprise me if they used some of the games to get free codes (however it would be done). There'd have to be a way of you just getting 1 download copy for each single UMD game... otherwise people could just lend games and download for free.
  22. What a guy. You should try it...you might like it.
  23. Seems like they sell them here. At $100, I think I'll pass.
  24. Those people are clearly not normal...they're possibly aquatic. :p
  25. Wtf? Of course it is :p ... that's nearly 1 an hour at the top end, and that's without taking into account that you'd need to sleep and you wouldn't be near a kettle all the time, lol. I don't really like tea or coffee. My taste buds haven't degraded to such an extent that they are tasty to me. Fruit juices and smoothies taste wonderful...if I can't have them then it's usually a glass of water. Brace yourself for diabetes.
