  1. Pay for items is about the worst thing they could have announced tbh. It's basically like legalised WoW gold, and means if you have money you have stuff. I would rather pay a one off £30 than potentially keep paying to have semi decent stuff. Not putting this on PS3/360 is also not doing this justice. No doubt, outside of Japan, it'd be available to a lot more people if it were on more than PC and handheld.
  2. I think it's a wasted effort on him, he clearly wanted the absolute most simplistic method to do everything despite paying the odds to do so. Pretty sure you can list on eBay without fees if you set the start bid to 0p.
  3. The standard of being hilarious and frankly not giving a fuck, brilliant. Grainger Games is actually a pretty decent store, unlike GAME (and after acquisition, gamestation). They've started stocking more niche titles like imports of Tales of Graces F.
  4. £8.99 off PSN. Aww yeah.
  5. But for GAME to have them is fine? Weird logic.
  6. Hey up, sounds familiar. Kidding, but really not at all sad to see this douchebag of a company go!
  7. The Amazon offer isn't a free memory card I don't think. The latest offer I thought was 8GB card for £20 and select game for £15 (unless territory difference?) PS1 games will be supported in a firmware update. However ALL PS1 games can be streamed from your PS3 to your Vita via remote play which results in a pretty decent playing experience. You can log in with your PSN account on both your PS3 and Vita, even at the same time. You can't have content (games etc) from multiple PSN accounts at the same time on your Vita unlike the PS3. And most PSP titles you have already bought on the store can be downloaded onto your Vita by accessing your download history.
  8. lol, such greed. May as well wait for the EU release to be honest.
  9. PS3 uses Blu Ray discs and several PS3 games can be downloaded on the store. Don't take long to download either.
  10. Of course, because you could just say you lost it and get a new phone. My advice is keep your phone in your pocket, and if you really need insurance just insure it for damage.
  11. But that's bollocks, you can't play it for £10 then. It's still sly really, they wouldn't be in business to refund you.
  12. Wow, along with this outdoor billboard I saw the other week: "Play the Vita for £10" They are pretty much being douchebags, good riddance to them.
  13. I don't know, would it not be really easy for shops to record the PS3 serial number to prevent such a thing?
  14. I saw this last week in Grainger Games while back in Altrincham to see my family and did a double take. Seemed weird as it was the only import game they were selling, at least that I could see. But yeah, no rush. Glad they're bringing it to Europe and I have a preorder down with ShopTo. Still can't quite gauge this game - can I just ask, because this is a port of a Wii game does it have slightly gimped graphics? I really liked Eternal Sonata which looked lovely in HD, so it'd be a plus if there was a good HD transition with this.
  15. So I take it this title is a bit meh when compared with Symphonia? That's a shame, had some interest in this.
  16. 5 days in Barcelona at a 4 star hotel for £189. Looks lovely, can't wait to go.
  17. Yeah I wouldn't count on new games ever coming to GAME given its situation. Games online are cheaper anyway.
  18. Had a launch from release and use it exhaustively. We even use it to watch TV on top of the countless hours I've played games on it. Here's hoping it keeps going.
  19. Zechs, binge drinking actually constitutes a lot less than you probably think. Also 'binging' has nothing to do with behaviour, only the amount of alcohol consumed within a certain space of time. Having 3 pints certainly sounds justified to be termed binging; recommended quantities by most respect healthcare bodies are much less than this for 1 sitting. As part of my PhD I do quite a lot of research into healthcare and the WHO is certainly a respectable source when citing in journal articles. To dismiss it as you have done is silly.
  20. To quote the legendary Blackadder: Sir, have you ever visited planet Earth?
  21. I don't know which is more odd; the delusion you have that you have 'out-argued' everyone here (something I don't think even you really believe) or that you've noted people have insulted you, despite you having done this yourself a healthy amount. I think this has been a good topic in terms of debate about something topical, just a shame that the OP has gone about strangling discussion for personal reasons.
  22. That wouldn't happen though. People don't go to a pub, then ask for the price of beer, then walk away and instead go home and get pissed. People would likely just be down on beer money quicker than they normally would and therefore over the course of a week/month drink less. Yes, they need to tax shop alcohol more. But that doesn't mean they need to tax pub alcohol less.
  23. Well said raining. Note that raining works for the NHS. Drink is a good way to unwind but let's not kid ourselves; excessive drinking at pubs does happen, and the tax will at least somewhat discourage binging. Not much, but every little helps.
  24. When you think about it though, there's not really much stores give you these days. In many cases it's as quick/quicker to download a title than it is to go to the shop and buy it. And as for seeing the boxes...they're just plastic boxes with printed paper inserts inside them. The boxart can be viewed for every game online anyway. The main factor for buying games is not sentimentality but cheap prices. The cost to running stores means on average online will always be cheaper, so most people will avoid the shops and favour online.
  25. You would probably be better off using that £20 to wipe your arse. (waits for them to bounce back miraculously solely to spite me)
