To be fair to them though, FFX is a game of epic scale and I really wouldn't expect them to get it out that quickly. Really looking forward to PSO2 and would like FFX with trophies. Yeah, I probably haven't played my 3DS since maybe 10 months ago. Dust-collector really, it just isn't a very good system and the games don't really excite me. Well, nothing that hasn't come to Vita too.

Even if it was just used to load the OS and in game menu it'd make everything so much faster. Windows 7 boots in about 8 seconds for me, Adobe Photoshop in 1-2.

Really hope the console has an SSD integrated. Once you've had an SSD you never go back.

No I meant when Cube said all people with 'fast' broadband are getting fibre he must have meant people currently without fibre (which most of the case means people with speeds 'up to' 8Mb from my experience).

It's not really 'fast', just standard speeds at the moment (ie. up to 8Mb). But yeah, obviously no one in the Shetland islands should be banking on fibre any time soon. Also found out that news article was a bit old. Apparently they must be pushing, as they anticipate to finish the two-thirds target 18 months early, ie. by Spring next year. Good news.

I imagine something needs optimising with the setup then and hopefully they do it. Fibre optic is definitely good enough to stream 1080p video content so really it should be possible to make this almost lag free. I know you require sending input as well as receiving, but it should be possible. Note that some internet providers fuck your speeds at peak times or throttle certain content.

BT are pushing to get fibre optic cable to the vast majority of homes within the next couple of years so it should become more feasible soon.

I admit it definitely looks better from that angle. Looks less chunky from that view.

I like most of it, I just wouldn't say it's perfect. The left analogue could be switched with the D-pad on account of its far more frequent use. I know from the 360 this feels a lot more natural this way (one of the very few remaining plus points to the 360). Same as above regarding the D-pad, additionally I'd take a leaf from the gamecube controller ergonomic design to make it delightfully comfortable to hold. I'd probably add a button that launches the friend list, and make the triggers feel a bit more natural. All in all, not too much.

Move on the PS3 and the touchpad on the Vita are my basis for saying this. I honestly don't think most people care about these sort of things, purely because the existing methods are more than fine. Seriously though, front to back, it's a beast. From that image I saw it's almost like two controllers sandwiched together. The worst thing is, if this ever did become the real thing, that they haven't really changed anything like we thought they would. No one seriously believes the design they came up with with in the last millennium was perfect. I'd like to see what more they could do if I'm being honest. Yeah, for me it was instant when I saw the image that it was just not right. You can break down the feature list but at the end of the day it's just polishing a turd. :p

In layout it looks precisely like the original controller, which apparently they wanted to change, except really fat and stupid looking and with a load of functionality that the 90% probably couldn't care less about.

My god that controller looks horrendous. Really hope that isn't going to be the next controller. Also don't see what it does that I care for...couldn't care less about having a touch screen, move or speaker. Swapping the D-pad with the left stick would have been a good move.

When you get him to third stage he's a lot better. Attacks very quick and higher stats.
