Didn't he crash his dad's car or something in one video?

Link and his bitch ass sword going hyahh, hyahh. Xbox...360? We're not doing geometry. Halo? More like GAY-LO. Ah, Chad Warden. Where has that fine chap been...

Features are nice but at the end of the day games are the most important things. They're games consoles after all. And if one console can't push the same level of power it's no surprise that it won't see most multi-format titles. Also I thought Durango specs circulating put it way up there too, least high above the WiiU like the PS4.
-
If games can be put on any console why not put them on the best one that limits the developer the least? Ni No Kuni for instance would have been the same game on the Wii but maybe an eighth as beautiful. Also your post is quite contradictory - if a console isn't as powerful as its two competitors then it can't 'do' what they do. Which if you look at the Wii, meant it couldn't 'do' most of the multi-format titles the PS3 and 360 did.
-
Post your specs then. Also don't bother listing that you have 16GB of RAM or more than the PS4 as that will show that you don't really understand what makes a powerful console.
-
The problem is that it won't be more powerful than the PS4, and we're left thinking you as a loyal Nintendoist probably haven't ever really had to sweet specs to appreciate and understand. :p

Nande...dattebayo Yeah I figured he was BSing too, as we both have very high end machines yet nothing has come close to that.
-
Cheers dudes. Anyone got a pic of the console?
-
The PS Vita is a very neat unit, it's an intelligent way to boost sales of something that deserves to be boosted. It is superior to the 3DS in hardware and therefore doesn't limit game developers as much in the graphics department. It's kinda sad that the inferior unit gets more big hitter support.
-
Cheers. Was the PS4 shown?
-
I missed just about all of this. Did they show the actual PS4 or controller? Anyone got any links to images?
-
Well I think if games don't impress you any longer then maybe give up gaming. :/

....... Where the fuck is giant enemy crab.

No no no. You are not a significant Nintendo shareholder. Stop talking like that. Good games can sell a lot, but so can bad ones. Or mediocre ones, with a popular mascot. It's not right to use sales to say they are doing it right. The Wii had very good sales, and I'd say it did it more wrong in terms of appealing to me than any other console, ever.

I know, they just don't make Pokémon like how they used to.
-
Yeah, it makes absolutely zero sense why they would charge for online when neither the PC or Wii do it. It's also one of their major selling points and they undoubtedly know there would be a colossal shit storm if they were to charge people. No, that's definitely one thing that won't happen.
-
I thought he was just getting broadband (£28.78 on TCB, £28.50 on quidco). Otherwise yeah there's more to be made from quidco, even after the £5 reduction.
-
Ah, you missed out on £28.78 cashback on topcashback there.

Question: Do you always gauge game quality and consumer happiness on the financial success of a game (success largely due due to the existing popularity of a game series)? By that reckoning, no big-hitter titles should ever take note of good elements from other games, since because the big-hitter titles sell the most, everything they are doing must be correct.
-
I'm not bothered about the media type the consoles used, just whether they are giving you value for money (which evidently with the Wii U they aren't) and whether their machine is capable of running games that the competition can. Since it can't, you're often going to be reliant on Nintendo for the top tier titles, which I can honestly say for the most part don't interest me anymore due to their highly conserved nature.
-
It isn't a myth at all. The N64 was ahead of the PS1 as a 64 bit console, while the gamecube was actually ahead of the PS2, graphically speaking. It's only the last 2 handhelds and consoles where they've been so far behind, to the extent that a lot of multi format titles won't come out on their consoles.
-
Did our conversations have anything to do with this? :p
-
Oh please. Let's agree on the first thing worth mention - the 3DS itself is a shit console. As in, the hardware. Because Nintendo don't like making good hardware anymore. Something to do with profit margins. This relates to the point that multi format releases are almost certainly best on the Vita, and always will be (e.g. Virtue's Last Reward). The games. Come on now, the vast majority of the top selling 3DS titles are so formulaic; Mario platformers and Mario Kart in particular. Even Professor Layton is recycling the same types of puzzles over and over. There comes a point where you admit that replaying the same game over and over and over just isn't fun anymore. At least the Vita has some nice original titles, or some titles that aren't in their 6th iteration, and some more coming. Not just the same old shit, year after year.

I would like if Sony had an equivalent of the stars catalogue. Will never happen but it'd be cool. When you get a game you can register a one time use code slip but instead of instantly earning 'stars' you'd unlock the stars through trophies. Then you could cash your stars in when you had loads for cool real stuff. That would add an extra incentive to get the most out of games and would probably encourage people to buy more games.

Yeah but it doesn't use it effectively, game loading times aren't always cut by much and as far as I know the general OS and interface isn't really as fast as it could be (I'm not sure what tech the internal memory uses). On our new computers we connect our SSDs via SATA3, maybe the interface isn't the same on the PS3.
