I won't be killing tonight. I'm not sure I follow this - if he finds you to be one of the most suspicious players, then there's a decent chance he'll kill you tonight. By voting him out you reduce that chance somewhat.

Yeah people between 18-20 can be a bit immature. That's the age when you kinda go mental/party lots/rebel. Some people stay like that for longer but for me when I was 23, newly started undergrads could be a bit loud and annoying (I had just started PhD).

The problem with sailing was that it was done lazily. What could have been entertaining was made lacklustre owing to a lack of visible markers and interesting in-sail entertainment. It was mostly endless blue until you reached the island in question, with the occasional attack by a weak enemy that posed no real threat. Turning direction required an interruption which made the whole thing seem a bit disjointed. It would have been better if there was less to traverse or more to do and explore along the way. I also agree with the above that Triforce hunting was dull as hell.

If I thought Jimbob was the town I wouldn't be voting him. :p

So @Rummy, if you don't lynch him it sounds like he's basically saying he's going to kill you.

P3 and P4 are the two really good ones. If you like P4 you'll like P3, although you'll feel like the battle system has regressed a bit if you go back to 3 after 4. They're standalone in terms of story though.

The only difference between us lynching Jimbob now then doing nothing at night and all killing Jimbob at night is that Jimbob gets to kill someone. And it'll probably be a townie.

What gun is that? Mafia probably won't kill him. He doesn't tend to put pieces together and he's drawing attention. The only guns will be town guns. At least if he is lynched beforehand then you won't have loads of people all targeting the same guy.

Actually if you lynch Jimbob and he's a townie then there is a reduced chance of killing a townie at night (owing to adjusted ratio of town to Mafia players). Albeit there will still be more chance of killing a townie as you said. Anyway the part of my post you quoted has been ripped out of context - I was originally responding to Jimbob's misunderstanding of the rules and nothing more. This game is going to be mostly town death after town death until the ratio of Mafia to town increases. The Mafia will start with people who they deem competent and contribute good points to the discussion. You can bet your life another Mafioso isn't going to lynch Jimbob as he's a small threat and is currently a hate magnet. So if he is a Mafioso, that actually puts him in quite a good position to not be night killed by his teammates.

Ah come on man, you didn't even read the opening post. We can only kill, not roleblock/protect etc, and you will only submit a target if you want to kill. I agree, I think the longer you let Jimbob live past D1 the more you enable him to act this way. We need people who are inquisitive and informed, not guys who don't even know what's going on (or pretending not to, badly). Vote: Jimbob

He has been really quite active on other boards (I have been talking about 3DS game codes with him), like he was during the last game. I don't know why he doesn't come back to the Mafia topics to respond but always seems to be around for sign up threads. To be honest, in this game there's nothing he can actually even respond with. We don't really have any info. For me this is just to teach him not to go inactive every game.

That sounds about right. Kinda sucks that we have to wait until half of us are wiped out/the Mafia screw up, though.

The last episode was generally not fun to watch.

The thing is though, there will be literally nothing to go on tomorrow as far as I can see. Suggesting town should all do nothing gives the Mafia a free excuse - they can say they did nothing, just like the rest of town might. Having more people who say they did nothing gives a big pool of people for them to blend into.

Ok, I read the 'will you use your power for self defense or vigilantism' bit a bit too literally. So we have no way of knowing who targets who? Aside from confessions anyway. I predict this is going to be all about picking on people who claim targets that other people also killed, or those who continuously say nothing or claim to have killed no one.

Am I right in thinking then that everyone can choose to protect themselves from death rather than kill? It's just it said we had only one ability and that was to kill.
