  1. That sounds horrible, Animal. I should hope that insight would help people here understand it a bit better now.
  2. You reap what you sow.
  3. Like Charlie said, telling people to toughen up is terrible advice. I really hope you never go into a position of trust. =/ It's not dealing with the issue (the people purposely going out of their way to belittle/degrade people) and is in many ways condoning it and putting it down to it being a part of life. No good teacher would ever respond to that by saying 'toughen up', be it offline/online.
  4. Exactly! People will always bully, thus we must always try to stop it.
  5. Bullying whether directly or behind someone's back is unacceptable. I don't care if you think people of this day and age are getting softer; verbal abuse is still bullying and some people can resort to self harm when bullied. Not everyone is so clearly impervious to this sort of thing as you. The answer is never as simple as to tell them to toughen up. Not only is that ridiculously unhelpful advice, it places no blame with the people doing these things.
  6. Under those circumstances by the time you block them, the damage is done. You have to remember also that you're not always able to block these people as the communication doesn't necessarily always take place on the victim's personal online space. It's so easy to say 'just block it out', but often the knowledge that it's going on is the psychological damage itself - not just the actual viewing of it. You guys are presenting some really simplified outlooks on how easy it is to avoid/overcome this. If it was that easy, people would hardly be taking their own lives, would they? I'm sure just about every young person knows how to de-friend people on social media. So that really can't be a silver bullet solution.
  7. But like everyone is saying - they aren't random people you don't know. They're classmates, posting anonymously. The personal nature of the comments they make could often only be known if they knew the victim.
  8. Sheikah...granting wishes. I'll be here all day. Ba dum tish.
  9. Hear hear. Original post is pretty ignorant to the issue I feel. Suggesting because you got beaten up physically means people should tolerate some other kind of abuse is just stupid. At least if you get beaten up physically there is more chance of something being done about it. This kind of bullying is difficult to trace back and can have far worse consequences.
  10. I've never liked the bubble design. They take up loads of space too.
  11. Yeah, it's really not a big issue since you already have your right thumb reaching to the apparently 'uncomfortable' spot yet no one complains about how this is uncomfortable. Yet apparently the left stick in the same place is. I admit it's a fraction comfier to have the left stick in the D-pad position, but nowhere near enough to make me think I'd rather have a One. Also, this position completely destroys D-pad function, which has been shown to work really well with quick item/weapon selection in loads of PS3 games.
  12. You haven't even held the PS4 controller to make the call yet. Also remember in terms of longevity what the 360's fail rate was like. If you're looking to buy a console that will last at least 5 years, I wouldn't hedge my bet on the One.
  13. I think most people now are thinking that it wasn't a redirector since they'd probably have admitted who they redirected if it meant a mafia lynch. Target swap seems to be a popular choice at the moment, which if true means the swapper won't know who did the kill.
  14. On the contrary, I don't think that person should come out. It's a powerful role and the Mafia will probably want to kill them, or the person they clear. (I'm not the target switcher btw)
  15. I never got Vesperia since it was on the 360 and went rare. When it went on the marketplace I didn't bother with it. However...Symphonia was pretty damn rad and is usually considered to be the best one (not just because the gamecube had a game drought...it really was sweet). The story isn't as good as Symphonia (but I'm guessing you don't play these games for story). The characters aren't as cool, but there's some neat stuff like scouring maps for every bit of treasure (of which there is lots), and upgrading the shops. The shop features works such that every town has the same shops and the stuff they sell is dictated by your individual store levels for each one (weapons, armour, etc). There's also a great deal of frustration negated by the ability to fast travel (just clicking R3) from the very beginning of the game, minimal loading times, a good battle system, sphere grid-like levelling system (which I think is pretty cool), and your subquests are recorded in a menu. Overall many Tales games are quite similar, so those small features do help. All in all though, I'm finding the story / cutscenes / characters a bit tedious. Probably because I grew up. :p
  16. Aye...unfortunately storage shafting seems to be the done thing these days. Especially with phones and tablets (the latter often leaving out the option of microSD support).
  17. I've got a 16GB which is pretty much fine, although a bit more would be nice. I could probably store maybe 4 full Vita games on and a few PS1 titles. It's an inconvenience having to transfer stuff, but I rarely want to access more than that many games at once. So long as it's still mostly cheaper to buy physical copies of things, it's mostly for my Plus content.
  18. Yeah but I think they're subsidising the cost of the console. The Vita costs the same as a 3DS XL, which is a bit of a joke.
  19. That's not too bad.
  20. Man, I remember getting Pokemon Blue when it came out and blowing the game wide open. Never have I been so enthralled by a game, except maybe Final Fantasy VIII. Squirtle ftw. I had this crazy obsession trying to catch a Pikachu, which was kinda rare. Once I got it, I almost did an all nighter trying to level it to turn it into a Raichu, only to later find out that I needed a thunder stone. lulz.
  21. Second: Sorry, Cube. Didn't mean to mention you.
  22. @DuD @Yvonne @Diageo @Cube @Aqui1a @Jonnas @ReZourceman @Raining_again Please at least confirm/deny whether you were the one to redirect a person to Dannyboy. If none of you did, we need to look at some other possibilities - Power/ability reflector - Vigilante (plus Mafia kill stopped). This one seems less likely for N1. - Target switch - Or - Danny appeared evil (either as part of his character, or an ability used on him).
  23. How you can say the WiiU launch lineup was better is beyond me. The games out on WiiU now bar maybe Pikmin are all worse/less exciting than the games launching with this console. I don't seen the fascination with an amazing launch lineup anyway. Launch is usually never the best time to buy a console as there's always a wait for the top titles to be released.
  24. BioShock associations I reckon.
  25. 15.5 hours in "Chapter 1 complete" Longest chapter 1 ever? :p
