Looks nothing like Xeboblade. I'd day this is far more Kingdom Hearts, since it looks fully action based with no ATB (it also has 3-4 action buttons like KH too). About the only thing that it looks similar on is the massive field with big enemies but FF already did that with FFXIII and the Adamantoise enemies.
-
New trailer: I think this looks really good, definitely takes a fresh form from that before. Really nice touch at the end of the trailer too, given that it used to be Versus XIII.
-
Oh lord. Just found out the first group to complete the vault of glass were this seriously pro clan, yet it took them 10 hours and their team had 1605 deaths.
-
Cool, well if anyone wants to clan up at 9PM (after bake off) then feel free to join me.
-
I should be on in 20 mins or so. @Hero\-of\-Time @lostmario @drahkon, anyone up for some heroic weekly strike down on the moon?
-
No you don't, but the chance is probably pretty good. I've heard that you can get rare materials for upgrading legendaries/exotics, too.
-
13 coins for an exotic armour piece, 23 for an exotic weapon. Dat armour. Hope there's something for me there. Any L23/24 fancy helping me do heroic weekly strike later for 3 coins? Earth last week was so much easier than the moon.
-
Aye strange coin for exotic armour and weapons. Also motes of light to buy an exotic engram from him too. Faction gear is basically looking like the way to go now, I've got enough marks to afford 2 pieces (still need to be the right rank though, will take ages...). Last night I got my first legendary piece (from a blue), a helmet for a warlock. Lawl. Not a hunter drop, but at least something. Meanwhile, @Zell deciphered his first legendary engram and got the legendary sniper rifle. Not jealous at all.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Sheikah replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I don't get this argument. Surely they want to sell the maximum number of copies they possibly can across all systems while also getting new console sales and Wii U customers (since extra income)? To do that they should have released on Wii U first. A lot of people haven't bought the Wii U, but might have bought it if it was the only way to get Smash. Now instead people who already have a 3DS might buy it for that system and not bother shelling out for a new system for roughly the same game. Doesn't really matter if the 3DS release will produce a higher initial sales figure. It's the overall profit that counts. -
General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Sheikah replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
People were paying ~£20 for a demo of Smash. You don't think they would pay for a Wii U if the Wii U version of the game was the only thing available? -
Yeah, them. It's great for them and all, if that's what they like to do, but the games end up worse for it, and it's clear that Japanese interests are very much maligned with most western gamers' interests. DQIX was a huge step back from VIII after the PS2 to NDS transition, and I much prefer the fully fleshed out console version of MH3U.
-
This sucks. Although I have MH3U on 3DS (and Wii U), there's no doubt it better suits the home console. God damn the Japanese and their handheld fetish.

What I really like is that you went to the trouble of italicising, bolding and colour changing only to be ninja'd. :p

Fuuuck. Envious. :p Yeah, the public events are supposed to loosely follow this timetable (although I bumped into a Devil Walker at a different time than suggested here). X:55 for instance means 55 minutes past the hour: Easiest way is to go to the area called The Divide on Earth, but you've got to select patrol on the destination map. Walk through the area you would normally go through in the Devil's Lair strike and come out the other side to get to The Divide. A Devil's Walker gets dropped down periodically there, killing it is really easy.
-
Yeah same. Shame we can't get higher until we get legendary/exotic shiz. The number of times I get a legendary engram but no legendary from it. =/ It's worth doing the heroic weekly strike btw for the 3 strange coins (1 time bonus per week, although you can also do it at higher difficulties for more coins). You don't need too many to buy exotic gear at weekends... Also worth doing a daily public event for the rare material. You've got to be L26, and a team of 6 friends. Progress in it is saved for a week, apparently, so long as you use the same fireteam leader to go back in. Edit: just read somewhere else you don't have to be L26. But I heard its really hard, so you might really have to be.

Bigger picture or not, $2.5 billion is pretty fucking ridiculous.
-
Very much agree with this. I can't see a successor being as popular...what really can they do? The idea of the game is for it to look basic and blocky, so I'm not really even sure how they can justify a new title as opposed to constant patches.
-
I think they'll get some hate if they dropped support for other systems. Time will tell...can't believe they dropped $2 bil on this. Can't see them clawing anywhere near the money back from it.
-
It's an opinion from someone who makes games and knows what they are talking about. Not all opinions carry the same merit.
-
No word twisting whatsoever. It's funny watching you trying to make an argument of this :p. You outright said '60 FPS is always better than 30 FPS'. Generalisations like that are pretty easy to disassemble. As for the 'it's an opinion' - lol what? Perhaps the single most idiotic reply here? Of course it's an opinion! An opinion from a game developer as to why they didn't go with 60 FPS, thus showing that 60 FPS isn't always the best choice. The point isn't that it's an opinion, it's that it's an opinion from a game developer.
-
And for their game, it suits it. I don't need to prove that 60 FPS doesn't look great, just that it isn't necessarily the best choice in every game, like was said. Given I've shown that, this shouting match is over.
-
No word twisting necessary. You said it's always better, and it isn't. So hush. :p I don't need to claim anything. A developer, someone with more experience and understanding of the points we're both making, just made the point for me. :p

There's a vendor that appears next to the crucible quartermaster and handler only at weekends that deals in exotics. He sells them for strange coins, which you get both as random rewards but also three for doing weekly heroic strikes (you can get 3 for each difficulty). I think you might need over 20, but the plus side is that you can see his wares to hopefully get something that you like/can use.
-
Which is why you were wrong. For one, it isn't always (see article - it doesn't always suit every game). Second, going with 60 FPS can easily come at the cost of frame drops on these sorts of games. So there's 2 situations that show 60 FPS isn't always 'better'. Did Sony ever say that their console would run every game at 1080P 60 FPS? I am looking but not finding anything. If they didn't, we can hardly expect every game to.
-
@kav82 not if they can't achieve a consistent frame rate. A locked frame rate that doesn't stutter is far more important than 60 FPS that is going to stutter (which games that are non-Indie/non last gen remaster/non racers can suffer from). It's no surprise that a lot of 1080p current gen games that don't fall into those categories are 30 FPS 1080p. You honestly think they would get this stably running at 60 FPS 1080p given the number of enemies on the screen at some parts? Like Daft says, you'd probably notice 60 FPS initially then you'd forget about it. But if the frame rate regularly dropped then you'd notice it every time. Also @Zechs Merquise, perhaps the reason you've never heard 'such rubbish' reflects on how little reading you do about the things you ignorantly choose to remark upon? It never ceases to amaze me how little you seem to be proud of knowing. Here's an actual game developer (guys making The Order) saying exactly what I just said: link. Game developer > you, tbh. Bungie announced they're looking to make a series as big and likely cinematic as Star Wars, so it hardly feels a surprise that they've gone with 30 FPS. It doesn't surprise me at all that you're passing up on it because of the reviews. You're the one that had a toy-throwing meltdown when New Super Mario World got an 8/10 on here. To be fair, playing the game with friends makes the game, so perhaps you're better off passing it up after all. I guess if you can't insult people, just make stuff up to try and make them look stupid, right?
