  1. Haha, funnily I'm not wearing a watch OR cufflinks, and just using a regular old biro, the power of advertisement eh! As for Dazz, I blame his old avatar, he made it a little on the dark side, and conviniently convinced everyone he was black, though I find it amazing nobody remembers that! Derren Brown will have a field day with you all :P You ARE lighterskinned than I expected though Dazz, but I also blame the camera for making you look lighter too! I still wouldn't say you were white though, and also, unfortunately due to an obligation heavily bred within me...where from the carribean is your half from? :p
  2. I feel like an advert for something I can't quite place.
  3. The worst thing about that stupid girl and her hands is, I find it so stupid and unbelievable, I actually want to try just to prove it can't possibly be possible to be so stupid, but then that's the sort of thing that leads to lots of people doing stupid stuff, a bit like that whole lightbulb in mouth fiasco.
  4. NOW this is a thread I want to post in. There's claims the mass media(and you, Wesley!) owe his family an apology for jumping to quick conclusions and implying all sorts about him now it turns out he died by a pulmonary oedema. Do they, do they not? (tbh before this I felt the thread about lady plasterfingers deserved its own thread more than this, and maybe I still do)
  5. Oh, I totally missed the bit about the clay mold, I'm an idiot, forgive me, and thanks for the explanation Eenuh. OH MY GOD AS I WAS TYPING THIS SWITCHED TO ANOTHER WINDOW AND ALL I SAW ON AN UNRELATED TOPIC WAS 'IS SHE PLASTERED' I ACTUALLY CANNOT STOP LAUGHING Ok, I managed to stop laughing. It's kind of bad, and obviously poor risk assessment, but then again, they were dealing with 16 year olds and probably thought they can't be that fucking stupid. I knew PoP does get hot when setting, the heat's produced as part of the chemical reaction or something, but I just knew that cos I was weird as a child. What I don't get, like EEVILL suggested, how did it apparently manage to happen in seconds. I DON'T know how fast plaster sets, but I'm pretty sure it takes its time. What the hell was she doing in the meantime/whilst her hands were getting warm? AND how frickin hard is it to remove plaster? Smash it on something! Where were her friends or anyone sensible during this whole debacle?
  6. Like real, actual, irony yes. Not this bullshit everyone calls irony, you might not even know real irony, but second, you're not native so I didn't fully expect you to get it. 'Spade' is an old derogatory term for blacks, I think it's more american, though. Hence the irony of you saying one thing and inadvertantly meaning another. It was beautiful
  7. I'm still not quite sure I understand it, but I also didn't realise she was 16, how embarrassing. So what WERE they sposed to use the plaster for? I presume for the cast, but then that makes me wonder why they were using for the mold?
  8. Is what internal or external? I guess the second follows. I only mentioned external drives because you mentioned external drives! Not installed anything I can recall no, just become really noticeable in the last week. Just sometimes. Bundled. I've not tried specifically, but one time it kept happening over and over and over when I wanted to move a file so I tried to browse my comp with firefox, which worked fine. I tried IE first, but that automatically opens Explorer like. I might be mistaking/confusing myself, but I *think* I could add folders using VLC when it was happening, but I might have just been avoiding explorer so it DIDN'T happen.
  9. How the fuck does that happen, like...how? Like...I just mean...like how. Honestly, I actually don't/can't comprehend how! Why doesnt the bloody article explain it more!
  10. I see, I'll try that out on my sister's if I can get in then. What would be a handy thing to know, is what processes related to it I can kill in the msconfig, because as I said I can't get into task manager(never tried security center, but maybe not that either) but if I stop them from starting with windows maybe it'd be easier to take out whilst windows is running? I don't know the extent to which it burrows into the computer, but it does look deep
  11. Did nobody see the hilarious irony in the sentence about calling a spade a spade? Was it intended? Is it just me and my good ol' racism focused mind? Oh well. For the record, I'm actually well un-PC sometimes, oftentimes rather racist. However, my intent behind it is usually humerous, and I DO tend to know when it might offend someone, I just generally do it with my friends, where I am unfortunately maybe the only ethnic person as of main. Then again, I do it with my asian(south, again something weird, I didn't know of the east asians til I was about 10 or something silly) friend a bit too. I'm pretty sure people know when to tell me enough is enough though. I think a big part of the offense behind things also is the intent, though sometimes it's the ignorance and I don't know if that can be classed as...well, intentional. Uhh anyway, it's 7 and I just woke up still a bit confused from some weird dreamthink, I forgot my point I was trying to make, but yeah. I'm a hypocrite though, and there's one word I very rarely use because I hate it, and I don't generally tolerate it from anyone either(though they're free to call me all sorts of others and make all sorts of race-based joles, like if I'm joking with my friends). I sometimes wonder if it's a bad thing I do it, also.
  12. Heh, but that's the problem, with being 'black' and 'white', there's no distinction for some categories and it's from there the offense can come. If you're brown(actually what I used to think we'd be called whe I was little lol, cos there's black and there's white, why not brown eh?) and you're lumped in with the blacks, you're not black and you feel it's ignorant of a person, if you're brown and NOT lumped in with the blacks as such, but there's still just 'black' and 'white' and you never talked about, then why are you not worth enough to be recognised as either? It's certainly a very tricky thing, and I didn't want to end up making the thread focus on probably the most obvious facet of PC-ness and nothing else, especially at risk of being accused of playing any sort of race card, but also I don't think it's something you can truly ever understand if you've not been a minority ethnicity. I think that's the biggest part of the reason why some racial jokes are acceptable from an ethnic person, but not from a non-ethnic person. I dunno if ethnic is even PC, should it be minority and non-minority? I was also thinking on the subject of acceptibility and someone's post earlier, about evolution and etymology of the words and a cycling, how negro actually literally meant black, then I wondered if it got stigmatised as a bad word and people starting using 'black' instead to try and be less offensive or more casual or something, and it got stigmatised as well. I actually find it unlikely given supposed olden day attitudes, but it'd be interesting if it was.
  13. Well I didn't have two antivirus, I uninstalled mcaffee, then installed avast! and ad-aware, which I thought would be fine considering one is antivirus and the other anti-spyware? My gruncle's laptop is sort of fine now, basically did a full restore to the one old restore point that wasn't inital, from august, so I've gotta fix up some shit but on the whole it should be fine. As for my sister's, I dunno how that'll be when I look at it tmw, but I was more curious than anything else to find a solution that wasn't a factory restore style thing. Task manager IS 100% disabled, no right click on task bar, no CAD, no run dialog, no nothing I know to get into it.
  14. I read this, and it made me wonder just one thing, what am I? Not rhetorical either, I expect an answer.
  15. Honestly I'm suprised I haven't heard any crazy christian/gaybashers argue he lived too long and this was a judgement from the almighty god for his sins against...whatever it is you're sinning against...is it jesus, or what? OMG DID STEPHEN GATELY TOUCH JESUS ON THE INSIDE WITH HIS PENOR?! If somebody did that to my son, I might consider taking them out too. Unless he wanted it, then I'd just feel incredibly weird. I'm also going to stop talking once again.
  16. (tl;dr at the end, go there if you feel like skipping) So, my uncle rang me yesterday, told me he's got a virus on his computer. He brought it round earlier(an NC-10), and I spent a while trying to fix it. He had mcafee but it's in dutch(his son lives in holland) which was a bit unhelpful. I d/led avast! and ad-aware on my comp then usb'd it over, installed them hoping to pick up something. Shockingly, Ad-Aware(free) picked up NOTHING after I installed and ran it, and avast! sort of did in the bootup scan I scheduled, and somehow did something that made it impossible to access his user account(problem with explorer.exe). He's running XP btw. Now, I found some instructions for manual removal, BUT they involved killing processes BIGGER BUTT is that somehow, task manager has been disabled. Cheeky fucker. So I am a bit lost for what to do(it was to be my first solution whilst ad-aware install downloaded at a snail's pace). I didn't try the entirety of the manual removal, cos I couldn't kill the processes I didn't know if there's any point. What I'm currently doing is using the Samsung Recovery thing(which I wanted to avoid, tho looking at his comp he has little to lose so I went and did it after wasting this numerous hours). Anyhow, my problem doesn't end here. My sister has an NC-10, and I was curious about the samsung recovery tool, namely because it looks to be so good! I rang her to find out if she has it on her NC-10 or if her netbook was branded by like Acer or something, cos I presumed it was but didn't know. I guess thinking about it, that's a bit retarded, it's clearly Samsung branded, but I never think of them like that. Anyway, on point, she does have it, but she also has an old acer laptop. She tells me that it seems she got a virus on it last week(it's got both avast! and Ad-Aware free running on it). My brow furrowed, she described half a name I was dreading to hear. Fucking Anti-Spyware 2010! Apparently it's proper killed her system, though she's a bit technophobic so I doubt it's that bad, but I'm gonna have to look at it tomorrow and given the trouble I had with my uncle's one, I'm a bit fearing(tho I guess I can just factory restore eventually anyhow). tl;dr: My point? Well, it's been a bitch, and googling gives a bit too much information, I was wondering if any of you guys have had any encounters with this? I've got alot more faith in you than googling provides, so I was just wondering if anybody's got anything to offer, really. Also, keep your eyes peeled for it!
  17. Hmm, well, I DO have an external drive and it hasn't happened since friday which is when I disconnected the drive cos I took the laptop downstairs to use for the music for my party, but the folders I was accessing were on my main c: drive and not my external anyway, so that's a bit weird. I DID think to myself the other day it was a bit noisy, but it was just in an area where it's more exposed than normal, really. It's a PATA drive, btw, in a caddy I bought off amazon whenever it was, like...a year or so ago? Sometime 6-12 months ago anyhow. I'm gonna update vista again later, though that was one of the first things I tried, I can't remember how to check what Service Pack I'm running but it should be fairly upto date cos I did all the updates about 5-6times over when I factory restored recently. I'll try it and see if it keeps happening. The problem's so damn unpredictable and I can't determine the cause that I have no way to check for sure if it's gone or not when I do stuff. Also, lookout for a second thread, coming your way soon! Definitely not my external hard drive, or at least not it solely, it happened again earlier when it wasn't connected.
  18. I hope that was intentional. And yeah, I'm not gonna bother with all this 'oh my he was such a good guy RIP sadface etcetc'. I dunno if that's harsh, but there's so many of these threads about people I don't really care about anymore and people die every day. It's sad yes, but we all have our time, and just reading lots of posts that essentially say 'omg rip'...it irks me. If it was a discussion about the circumstances/age/etc, or someone who was clearly a massive fan, then maybe not, but yeah, im gonna stop talking now.
  19. As I said, there was a reason! I had a party friday night, the theme for which was to dress...fancy! That was potential outfit number 1, but I ended up going a bit for something else, though I sort of retained the 70s look, unfortunately there seems to be no full outfit photos of me , but that won't stop me! I'll post more later when I put the ones from my camera up, just to further fulfil my love of suitage, but this post also contains possibly the best birthday present ever; He also turned my mate into Mario, and I tell you it is AWESOME. I might throw that up(although I realise it isn't quite the thread's theme but people'd definitely appreciate the mario) as well if I find it, I think he takes commisions too, if anyone's interested. Apparently it only took him a few days to do each as well!
  20. This is really starting to annoy me now, but basically sometimes when I'm browing my computer/files in Vista, explorer hangs and gets well slow. As it does so, the address/path bar at the top is slowly(starts then seems to slow) filling with shade as explorer does to show some sort of loading progress or something in vista? But yeah, when it does this basically all explorer windows won't work anymore if I try to switch between, and if I stay on the current window and try to click through to other folders, it also won't work. After a while I'll lose my task bar/start menu also, it'll all freeze up/not respond, though I can still switch between stuff with alt+tab. Usually I have task manager running so I can see if anything is rocketing up my CPU usage, and it happens that when this occurs and I tab to that, explorer is at the top of the list for CPU usage, and I've honestly got no idea why. I don't know what it's trying to do or how I can stop it, and it bugs the crap out of me! What I CAN do is then end task explorer, and re-run it using the New Task in task manager, it re-opens and seems to work fine...or at least for a little while anyway. I can't pinpoint it to anything specific yet, and I was wodnering if anyone else knows of this problem or has any potential solutions?
  21. It's not that deep down. Indeed! The thread is about ghosts! Look on the plus side all you death fearers, you might live on as some creepy asian dude.
  22. All your base are addicted to ME! Other than the classic of drinking, I think I'm fairly cool and habit/obsession free! Except for that girl I follow alot from a distance, but that's true love so I don't think it really counts.
  23. My day was fucking awesome. My friends are the best and if any of you are fortunate enough to have ones like mine, you're a king amongst men!
  24. This is me, looking well pretentious, as I tried to take a picture of myself so I could see how this look would go for me for something that will later become apparent. I now love this photo lol.
  25. I've found some time and sort of not, but you all seem to suck, so I'm gonna do this shit right here and right now. Running it like last round, two games simultaneous. Play order is as follows, you ladies know the deal. New signups accepted at any point! 1. Dyson 2. Jimbob 3. ReZourceman 4. Marcamillian 5. Diageo 6. Cube 7. jayseven 8. MoogleViper 9. SPAMBOT4000 10. Nintendohnut Does anyone know if Dyson is in? His phone is ringing out...
