Limited? Just in warranty, surely? If it's still in warranty just take it back where you bought it from. Unless I'm mistaken retailers are obligated to replace faulty goods within the first 6 months of warranty, so it can be less a hassle than going to Dell(though i've also no idea what their customer service is like).

How old is it? Where'd you get it? If it's in warranty maybe consider just taking it back as faulty anyway. Do you hear near/around your computer? One reason I could think why the spacebar might have crapped out already, though I'm not all sure. The battery definitely sounds like a faulty issue, though why does it even care whether or not it's a dell battery?

I've retried the ATI/AMD install, still no luck. I've also tried uninstalling the driver(as i can't rollback) for the HDMI sound(AMD High Definition Audio in device manager) and seeing if windows picks up a more suitable one but also no luck. Are you suggesting I uninstall/reinstall my main sound card driver(Realtek High Definition Audio)? Sound does work from the headphone/speaker outputs on the computer, and I have speakers so it's ok, it's just I much prefered having it via my TV cos I can then have the speakers running off them(for other tving stuff), and also it gives me a much more handy remote volume control. I'll try and soundcard driver in a bit and see. ----------------------------------------- Shit. I tried uninstalling my normal sound device from device manager and now it's not reinstalled properly and fuccccccck, no sound! This is a pic of my sound options before I did this; When I plug my speakers in(to front jack or back) it pops onto Speakers as device. If I unplug, it goes to HDMI output, though still doesn't work and windows recognises no sound device as my volume x's down. If I unplug my hdmi(I have a second smaller screen connected via VGA) then it recognises that the HDMI device is disconnected. So it knows the shit's there, it's just...being a goddamn dickhead! GRRR! SO ANNOYING WHY CANT I FIX THIS! (btw the USB Audio Codec is just for a usb microphone that also allows you to plug in headphones and use it for audio output)

Those look...newer? I swear I saw some of the originals in a link someone posted going for like $2000-$6000 on ebay or something.

Issues? What issues they been having? That cover artwork is really nice, definitely makes me wonder why they didn't try to make the character model a bit more like the art. Also really liking the look they've gone with for Zelda.

I have yet to see Machete, though I really want to. Saw this a few weeks(or months? time is lost!) back at my friend's house though cos someone bought it for his birthday and we ended up watching it. Not usually my style(gore isn't so much me) but I must say I appreciate what it was going for and they did it well. Quite amusing in places.

I was thinking this, but AMD/ATI installs all sorts of stuff at the same time and I'm not sure if that could then lead to more problems. Also, it means that I'd have to be forever stuck with an older video driver and I'd like to have it kept up to date. HDMI audio appears in my list of devices, but I can't do anything to it(test, configure, disable, set default) the only thing it will let me do is look at its properties!

Hello. I decided to update my graphics drivers via ATI's site, I've got a Radeon HD 4250 in the comp. However I run on a 32" TV via HDMI and it seems that the update has somehow merked my sound via HDMI and I don't know how to fix it!! It was acting like there was no device(though it's listed in the audio devices) so I decided to hook speakers into the comp itself and it automatically changed to speaker output, but now I can't get back 'onto' HDMI output. It's still listed there as a device, but seems to just ignore me if I try to select it. I'm on 64-bit Windows 7 and that's what I selected when I was picking the drivers. Has anybody ever had similar issues? Found a solution?

Given it's a spoiler free topic I can't see us talking about too much else :p Though on the subject of pre-orders, I took a big bundle one out with shopto last night/paid there and then, noticed they say they guarantee delivery for release or £3 credit, but then their smallprint says they can't guarantee if short of stock! How very silly.

So how comes only the Desire seems to suffer of this problem and not other smartphones? (not 100% what the problem is cos I don't think I've encountered it so far, memory issues? like RAM or just storage?)

Have you tried any alternatives? I noticed firefox and opera in a quick look, but don't know how they compare to my standard 'internet' thingy. As for music I just use the option in the menu labelled music; though I haven't been using the phone much for that. I was just curious if there were better apps out there. I've just gotten my hands on Swype also, I see why one might like it!

What would folks recommend for internet browsing and general media playback? So far i'm using the stock apps that came with, mainly for lack of knowing any better alternative.

Personally I think traditional 'console gaming' is topping out, it's done everything it can. I think the 'next' generation(worth noting this is possible the longest 'generation' of games consoles unless I'm mistaken) will be more about a total multi-purpose system/approach. Something which isn't just a games console, but rather a total home entertainment system. Streaming, media playback, games, everything. Something very sort of casual, not a dedicated gaming console, but a thing that does a lot AND plays games sort of thing. I think from the early look of the Wii U and whatnot, that might also be where they're headed. Knowing Nintendo they'll mess it up though.

I never even really/properly played the original Donkey Kongs, so I was never aware of this beautiful tune until Brawl, but I gotta say since then it's possibly one of my favourite ever video game tunes!

I knew nothing of this game, then I read the N-E Review, then I proceeded to rage as I went to the shops the came home and then went online only to find almost nobody anywhere that sells it for a decent price has any stock. I want it. Now. On the above point, should I invest in a component cable to go with this?

Admittedly normally I'm against killing most things, it was just with them managing to pop into the kitchen from their nest I worried about them managing to end up stinging any one of us(one was on my foot, the other day!). Also I've seen them sting just when sitting on people, but yeah usually I'm totally cool with wasps, just not so much if they're nesting in my house. They probably picked the most unfriendly spot to do it! Most other bits of the roof I'd probably never have even know they were there! I tried to pre-empt that with a ReZ joke :p. I remembered on that mouse thing when we had one somewhere near our house(our old house) in the back and everyone was trying to catch/kill it and I had the hit but didn't take it cos I couldn't bring myself to smoosh it and my dad told me off

I heard ReZ enjoyed bottom. ANYWAY. Yeah, shooting stars is just something that never really 'took' me. Maybe it was ahead of its time, though. I do like bob and vic, despite spending 16 years of my life thinking one was t'other. Mainly I knew them for Randall and Hopkirk though, which I quite enjoyed! I like Vic(or is it bob :p?) on panel shows, though.
