Favourite TV programs thread (its original!)
ViPeR replied to the_villa's topic in General Chit Chat
Hmm there's so many. Errm. Peep Show, Father Ted, Lost, Bottom, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Sliders (1st and 2nd series before it got silly), Crystal Maze, Takashi's Castle (never watched more than 3 episodes but deserves a mention), and 80's cartoons in general. -
I'd welcome the holiday. Not sure what there is to celebrate about though.

You're going to need some dynamite for that door, just make sure there are no numbers written on it first. Though I agree with everyone else, open teh door to hell!
-
This is a conspiracy! THE NUMBERS ARE BAD!!!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!

It's so true. Failure comes at a high price. In the end it was probably the nagging feeling of wasting another 90 odd quid that got me through my last test. It is a constant financial drain though. Teenagers get it the worst, especially if they're also paying for uni/college. My first insurance quote was 900, now it's dropped to 620 in a year. BTW, I hate people with epilepsy. They are smelly and gay.

Bah! Can I say nothing you can't twist... cheesefishcakebanana.

A Nintendo official talks about the power of rev
ViPeR replied to dabookerman's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I must admit I played Call of Duty on the 360 on a standard TV and was wondering what all the fuss was about. It just looked like standard graphics. That was before I realised you needed HDTV to see the full effect. I can't see HD taking off this generation anyway and i'm not going to be forced into it buying a special TV, mainly because I can't afford it so Revolution ftw in my case. -
Clever how you turned that around , bueno muchacho bueno. Due to where I live, my mates and gf live a good half hour to an hour away and the public transport here sucks ass. So basically it's either get a car, or have no life. I doubt you have the same distance issues and if you do the public transport is already infinitely better than where I am because nothing could be worse.

If you're young your insurance bumps up a hell of a lot because you're 'inexperienced'. Basically everything associated with driving is insanely expensive.
-
I dressed up as one of the secret extra characters from Goldeneye. Pretty good I thought I even got the wacky, fixed facial expression nailed.
-
Sorry that just warrants a LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMAO!! Watch out! She'll pulls turnips...

I hate the things that bump up the price on your insurance. Like, the colour of your car. Red incures anger in other drivers.. Yes.. i'm sure it does. My MOT was a real bitch as it took them ages to figure out why my emmisions were so high, hence high labour cost. There's nothing much wrong with the car itself... hopefully.

Which Nintendo console has given you the most enjoyment?
ViPeR replied to the_mars_volta's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I think the N64 made me and my mates swear in frustration, probably from a well placed bullet on Goldeneye, than any other of nintys consoles. -
So, how many of you have to go through the painstaking, agonising process of shelling out all your well earned cash for your personal transport? This month i've paid for road tax, repairs and MOT. Also my cars so old the MOT is totalling to 400 quid . That is how badly I need my car for socalising and work.

Omg, they've already copied the controller!
ViPeR replied to nicolasmasset's topic in Nintendo Gaming
True, they are still a business and need to guarantee sales. Giving the competitors thier ideas would just be stupid. They know it'll be copied if it sells, I guess they're just delaying the inevitable by having a slow release of information. We still don't know what the other revolutionary feature is and considering we've already heard about the controller it must be something much more outstanding. -

ViPeR replied to nicolasmasset's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I can't see Sony or Microsoft copying it until at least next gen. Even if they do Nintendo are still one gen ahead. The revolution isn't just intended for Nintendo alone, it's the industry as a whole. This can only be good news if they think it's the new way to play. -
I was wondering how Smash Bros would be altered to allow for play with the new controller. I must admit if that is how they intend to go with it, it should be a lot of fun especially with Link.

I don't think where you live changes your opinion of what a holiday is. If I lived in London i'd consider a holiday to be exactly the same thing as I said before.
-
Who goes to skegness for a holiday. Time spent away from home/work/whatever is a holiday.
-
Ah well if slagging off a console, that hasn't even been released, gives him his kicks then fair enough. Personally i'd rather judge something after i've played/seen it but hey that's just me, I guess i'm old fashioned like that.
-
As for hints I can give you a few, but I don't think they are very useful; -It's not new technology -It's as groundbreaking as the controller, if not even more groundbreaking. -There will be even more confusion when it's showed (to be compared with people's reactions when they saw the N64 controller). -It's more or less used in another entertainment sections already ( limited ). -It's more or less shown already WTF... I got it! It's a handle... oh wait that was another consoles 'revolutionary' feature.

I probably be to pissed to remember when the time comes.
