Grabbed Volume 2 of the Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive. Seems to be the harder of the three to find so figured I should get it first given the opportunity. Will probably get the others quite soon just to make sure I get the whole set.

This Final Fantasy collection is also reigniting my video game artbook obsession. Already tempted by a load of new FF ones!

@Goafer please add more platinum versions to your collection to annoy snob Hero. It's the only reason I still buy the steelbook versions of Yakuza games

There we go, first lot bought. Won an eBay auction for FFX & XII nice and cheap.

Mines gonna be harder as well with she's carts that have no boxes. Might see if there's anywhere that creates replacement ones like I had done for my Mega Drive collection.

I plan on getting as many versions as I can so it doesn't matter too much. It's a shame I never really have anywhere to display these collections. I've got a lot of the Yakuza games (just missing some of the Japan only titles) and all the Shenmue games but nowhere to really present them. Plus when you just have them on shelves showing their spines it always looks weird between different consoles or generations.

My currently owned FF games (not digital) are: Final Fantasy II (NA SNES) Final Fantasy III (NA SNES) Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4) Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn (PS4) Shame it was only a year or so ago that I sold off the PS1 copies of 6, 7, 8 & 9.

Anything easily accessbile I will get so original entries then work my way out from there to more difficult to find or obscure stuff so if I see ports or spin offs at gaming markets for example I would probably pick them up. At the moment the plan is to basically type Final Fantasy into ebay and start looking for deals on any titles.

Apparently my nephew's primary school usually has 85 pupils in it and today they've got 62 key worker kids on site.

After chatting with @Goafer about the FFVIIR soundtrack earlier along with really getting into XIV again recently I’m thinking about starting a proper Final Fantasy collection and getting all the games I can. Already got the US versions of 2 and 3 on SNES which should be some of the more expensive ones so it’s a good place to start. Shame I’ve sold a lot of my other various titles over the years but I can work on getting them back.

The worst part is that we all knew this was coming, we just didn’t know how long the government would hold out for no reason so you have to carry on arranging things like the schools will stay open.

Yep same with us. Load of tests arrived today, plans went out to test all staff and then years 7 & 8 when they came back and then this.

Maybe he's waiting until he can have more countries at the reception?

There we go then, another full lockdown and schools closing. I’ll be interested to see if I get furloughed again. With it being a potentially shorter lockdown than the first and my school including a nursery which will stay open it could mean that they just keep everyone on. There’s also the fact that our head of ICT is on long term sick leave already so they may need me to help with the more technical side of the online learning. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

Oh yeah I’m not planning on dropping it. Probably start sharing my time between Ghost and FFXIV from now though.

Really been in the mood to play FFXIV again recently so I re-subbed and bought the latest expansion.

Looking at this new section of the map for act 2 I can kind of see why people start to speed through the story as the game goes on. Act 1 felt like a full game all on its own and I don’t really know how much more I needed.

No proper ideas for the kits so far. Mostly just been looking at the flat pack kits on eBay at the moments for the body. Tempted to look into making it a coffee table type one, maybe with some kind of coverable or even rotating screen.

Starting to make plans to make my own arcade cabinet. Think I might buy one of those pre-cut sets for the body then work out the inside, screen, sticks etc myself (although I may end up buying the sticks and buttons as part of another set to avoid headaches)

I haven’t had a chance to play Shadow of the Tomb Raider yet so that’s cool.

That’s my county into tier 4 then. Not much will change for me as I only really go out for work and that’s at a school anyway. Only thing I’m really regretting is skipping a haircut this month. I had one booked for next week which I won’t be able to get now.

Started this earlier. Certainly is a gorgeous game. Kind if a shame that I never tried it on PS4 so I can't tell the difference the PS5 patch made but it definitely plays very smoothly. Just need to work on my timing now for the parrys. Think I need to do it a second before it looks like I should to get a good parry.
