  1. I found Watch Dogs to be an average open world game with a bland world. Nothing particularly bad about it (apart from how dull and grey I found the world) but I'd never recommend it to someone.
  2. Taken from my post in the MGSV thread: Completed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain earlier. Clocked in at 47 hours. Its an incredible game, but not one without its flaws unfortunately. Those are mainly down to the story and voice acting. I think probably with any other game the story would have been less of an issue but of course, this is Metal Gear and because of that we were expecting a dense story, not one that kind of comes to you in drips throughout a 50 hour game. The voice acting is the worst part for me. Not necessarily the quality of Sutherland's work but just the amount. There are times when he feels like a silent protagonist and it actually takes you out of the moment. One mission in particular has a ridiculously long silence which feels like they wanted a reaction there but couldnt afford it. The missions though were brilliant. I have always been terrible at Metal Gear Solid games, never getting along with the stealth mechanics but this time it was like they finally got everything just right and with it being an open world game, I could plan exactly how I wanted things to go. Multiple times I felt like a complete badass, going through bases completely un-seen or just sitting from a distance and taking someone out with my sniper rifle. I never would have expected at all to get an S rank on a mission before I started, let alone the 5 or 6 I ended up getting. Quiet probably ended up being my favourite character in the game. Once I got over her "costume" (and Kojima claiming we would understand when we heard the reasons was pretty much bullcrap) I found her to be interesting and pretty damn awesome. She was always my buddy of choice. So yeah, great game and I'm sure I'll be sticking with it for a while to finish off all the side missions.

  4. Ok....I think I have actually finished the story this time! It wouldnt be Metal Gear though if I didnt leave confused though. Final time was 47 hours
  5. I was doing a mission last night where one of the side objectives was to rescue a prisoner being transported by jeep. I killed the guys transporting him but instead of taking him out and fultoning him, I thought screw it and fultoned the jeep with him still inside. Pretty sure the prisoner never made it back to mother base lol. Also, turns out that bears dont like it when you sneak up behind them and try to place C4 on them. Who knew?
  6. From what I've heard though, if you can play it somewhere other than 3DS then I would.
  7. I've actually found the stealth a lot easier than in previous games but I think thats down to the controls being the best they've been in the series. Apart from 4 and Ground Zeroes I always felt like I was fighting against the controls all the time.
  8. Quiet is playing MGSV on Twitch at the moment http://www.twitch.tv/stefaniejoosten
  9. Pfft, I used to play my NES at home on one game and chat to my friend over the phone while he was playing another!
  10. Yeah it is. I've been playing the game for a week now and the idroid was always really quick to load. Finally connected to the servers last night and it started taking ages.
  11. The funny thing is, this is exactly how I found out about it as well! Just on another forum.
  12. I think I might just carry on playing in offline mode. My FOB just got attacked so I went back to defend, got knocked out of the session and then lost a load of men etc. Not exactly fair and if its made so that can happen I'd rather just not do it, at least not until I complete the story.
  13. You just have to scroll through to the Sniper Rifle section and find out the requirements. We cant really tell you when you can get them because it all depends on the materials you have and the level of your teams. If I remember right the very first Tranq rifle needs R&D and Medical to both be level 15.
  14. Yeah I know. Im just saying that the tranq rifle that actually has a silencer is further down the research tree than the normal sniper rifle was. The early ones you unlock are loud so it takes a while to get.
  15. It'll be a while before you unlock a helpful one. I spent ages working on getting one for me and one for Quiet to use out in the field but the early ones dont have suppressors on yet so they can still be heard
  16. Maybe I didnt see it on a previous mission then! lol I've got to admit, I've kind of had the Metal Gear wind taken out of my sails at the moment. I might have to carry on with the game tomorrow, let myself calm down from "completing" it!
  17. I spent bloody ages on that one and still never found the sheep! Most annoying part was that I was doing some other mission and actually saw it straight away but was too busy to get it then!
  18. Just completed the main story. I........errrr........hmmmmmmm EDIT:.................ok maybe not then. Sneaky Kojima!
  19. Im looking forward to reading some of it tonight. I think I'm going to finish the main story of MGSV soon so it'll be nice to move onto the book afterwards.
  20. My Metal Gear book arrived today!
  21. Nope, hated it
  22. Are you sure about that because they specifically said there was a week or so ago.
