Yeah I got mine as well. I'll probably get rid of my GAME one.

My favourite Lex Luthors: I dont like the look of Eisenberg's Luthor at all.

Preordered my PlayStation VR this morning. I'll keep my Oculus preorder and decide once I have that if I'll need to keep my PSVR order as well. I expect I would though as my gaming time is usually pretty evenly split between PC and PS4 so I'd like to see what both have to offer.

I can understand not including the Move as I guess its not required but leaving the camera out does seem odd. Need to wait for more clarification on that one I think.

Someone on Neogaf just mentioned that of course theres the potential to start selling different themed rooms etc to watch stuff in. If real effort was put into these different locations I'd be willing to pay for stuff like that. To me those are nice cosmetic features that I wouldnt complain about seeing sold.

I'll be interested to just use the cinematic mode that Andrew House talked about to play regular PS4 games through the headset. I hope they put in the same amount of effort that other VR apps have for stuff like that and actually model the seats around you etc. I love sitting in the cinema watching stuff with my Gear VR on lol.

I'll be preordering when I get the chance anyway. I'll decide later on in the year if that means cancelling my Oculus Rift preorder or just end up keeping both.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
Happenstance replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
Well my Fullmetal Alchemist complete manga collection arrived today. Gonna try to read all these before the original FMA complete series blu ray comes out over here so I can remember the differences. Also going to have to try and find somewhere to store the box, its massive! -
As far as I can tell it'll most likely be closer to Oculus and Vive but will have certain aspects capped to let it get the required fps with the lesser power of the PS4 in comparison to PCs. Periscope livestream https://www.periscope.tv/w/1BRJjaXVRDVGw

I cant see Nintendo wanting to allow their gamers to interact with other console gamers given how strictly they tend to do things. I think its just going to be a nice feature that if it takes off will allow people to start choosing their own consoles based more on their own preferences and not just who they want to game with. Thinking about it that way I think its absolutely a feature Nintendo would need. Their gamers wouldnt have to worry about playing games on other consoles to get the full multiplayer experience anymore (as long as they got the games of course)

Yeah I have seen that they've put out a tweet that there will be big RIGS news today. People just dont seem to be convinced that it'll be bundled because it looks like a proper game. I think its definitely a strong possibility myself. I bet Sony would love to use the game to attempt to get a foothold in esports.
-
Anyone got any predictions then? I'm gonna say £299 on its own, £350 with 2 move controllers bundled in.
-
Its very similar, just wish more too it I think. Well worth a purchase though.
-
I'll go see it but I'm not massively hyped or anything. Definitely havent heard a lot of chatter about it from other friends anyway.
-
Yep hopefully the rest will follow along with this. I'd love to see some Console vs PC first person shooter matches with console only owners finally understanding how much more accurate a mouse and keyboard is for that :p

Went a bit nuts on Amazon and in HMV today:

Gah. First big Alumni event that I have to help run tonight as part of the new job. Drinks reception in London. Hopefully I should just be signing people in and then taking photos though because mingling is definitely not my strong suit!

I'm hoping I'll have some more memorable moments once more of my friends start playing it so I can group up with them. At the moment for me the Division seems like a solid game but I think its seriousness and realworld aspects are perhaps holding it back when it comes to loot at least. Games like Diablo or Destiny where you can find all this interesting loot are great but I cant get excited each time I get a new backpack or yet another shotgun.

I had a friend in college who got to the point in Macdonalds where they started asking him if he wanted the usual. Pretty sure thats when he stopped going to that Macdonalds anymore.
-
To be fair this is a bit different to Assassins Creed seeing as The Division is an online game. I understand your complaints otherwise though. Unfortunately this is how pretty much every online game launches. Every company could fix the problem by having more servers to handle the load but they know that it will only be a month or so and the amount of people playing the game all at once will die down and then they'll be stuck with a load of extra servers that arent needed so its thought of as an unneccesary expense. I'll be giving it another try tonight once I get back from work. I'm happy that I'm at least past the "activate" problem so I'm remaining hopeful lol.

Thats just made me nostalgic for Habbo Hotel now...

Theres a bug at the very beginning of the game where you have to use a laptop but it doesnt seem to want to let you use it while other people are and as its basically the first thing you do, theres just a constant stream of people all trying to use it at the same time. I've been messing around for an hour now trying to get past this fucking bit! EDIT: Finally managed to do the mission by creating a new character. Wasted my morning doing all that though so now I need to get ready for work!

Do we know if there's a day one patch to download? Would be nice if I could play this straight away tonight so I'd rather not have to wait while my shitty connection downloads a couple of gigs.
