The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Happenstance replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Thats a question I wanted to ask actually. I'm also pretty lean on new armour. Have you guys been purchasing a lot of new armour or just finding it in the world/getting it as rewards? -
Bringing back this old thread as I have a new Kindle question. Does anyone know if it's worth shelling out the money for the more expensive Kindle Voyage or just getting the latest Paperwhite? My old Kindle got bricked when they did their update a few months ago. Totally my fault as I ignored the warnings but I'd like to move back from reading on my heavier iPad on the Kindle app back to a nice light device. I like the design of the Voyage more, especially the completely flat screen but it does cost more money.

I think I've found 4 Korok seeds so far..... -
I might check later but honestly at the moment I don't care enough to check all that lol

One room away on the same floor. Every other piece of tech works just fine connecting to it upstairs and downstairs.

Anyone who has also had the wifi issue, have you tried downloading in sleep mode yet?

There really are some odd choices with the friend list on the Switch. Only showing changeable nicknames so it will be really simple to just not know who someone is if they decide to change their name but then if you go into their profile it doesnt even show their friend code if you want to try and check who they are. I already have some people on my friends list who I have no idea about and I cant even send them a message to ask.

I hate the wi-fi on this thing. Sometimes it wont connect on launch unless you do it manually, other times like right now it just wont connect at all.

I kind of want a Taco dock now. The meat and salad would cushion the Switch.
-
Nice to see there is a time counter for games, it's always a helpful feature. I do hope it gets patched to be more accurate though.
-
Seems with the Vita going out (some would argue it was never in) then the Switch is going to be a similar popular device for Indies. Good to see. I hope Nintendo do a good job showcasing them.

I might have to get this when it comes out. Has anyone read the Captain Kirk one mentioned in the article? http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/03/08/the-autobiography-of-jean-luc-picard-is-coming

Anyone remember @bob? Whatever happened to him? Always thought he was sooooooo funny.

There hadnt been any problems in this thread all week anyway. People were discussing things, enjoying the Switch but also talking about its issues and it was fine. The problem came from King_V himself and his odd reaction to 10 year old kids not wanting a Switch.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I have wondered when doing a few of them if I was actually completing it as intended. -
Glad to see the rules for this thread have been clarified.

Its an oversight in the design of the dock if multiple people are saying its bent.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I never went into Zelda expecting the Witcher 3, it was mainly just the praise Zelda has received for revolutionising the open world genre and I haven't felt a lot of that while playing. Only a talking point anyway as I'm still enjoying the game for what it is. EDIT: I also think that story plays a massive role in making an open world game feel alive and thats something else I find lacking in this game, both main and side stories. -

I dont want to turn this into a "which is better" argument but how do you guys find it in comparison to the Witcher 3? That's the one that keeps popping up for me when I'm thinking about the example of open worlds done right and the amount of times I just stumbled onto some cabin or something which set me off on a whole new story. I feel like I havent really had those kind of adventures in Zelda yet and I've uncovered quite a bit of the map now. -
No I get that. I think it was probably more the way the quote read, like the LCD wasnt part of the Switch. Plus they still pick the company to provide the LCDs so should still shoulder some of the blame. To be clear though, I know that dead pixels are a common thing and its not a proper issue. It was just something that stood out when they commented on it.
-
I cant remember where I saw it but wasn't Nintendo's response to the dead pixel problem a bit weird? I'm at work at the moment so I cant really search for it but I think it was them shifting the blame saying it was the LCD's fault not the Switches.

I was planning on waiting until I'd completed the game before I posted my actual thoughts on the game but so far while I am enjoying it and think it's a good game, personally I don't think it's the genre defining open world game everyone else does and I do think there are better open world games out there. -

I assume it must be the areas I'm playing in tonight but I'm getting some terrible pop in. Basically wondering why Link is running in place and then a tree just appearing in front of me. -
I just love how pathetic this all sounds. They're fucking 10 year old kids!
