I was planning on starting with 3 like you guys suggested but then thought that the series is so well regarded if I start with 3 and really enjoy it I'd probably struggle going backwards. Figured I would just take the risk that I'll like it and go from the beginning.

Got my nephew FC24 for Christmas and let him install it on my Xbox today to try. Put the disc in and it installed 500mbs then had to download a 60gig "update"

I nearly ordered all 3. It's the same issue I have with omnibus', I worry that something will go out of print and when you order stuff with PayPal buy over 3 months it tricks you into feeling like you aren't spending all that much. Thankfully stopped myself

Yeah running very slow for me. I've owned the Mass Effect trilogy games on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4/5 and now PC.

I'll ask this in here. Can you not get Xenoblade 1 anymore unless it's used or digital?

I ended up double dipping on Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Just something about that series that makes it so I can play it over and over again without getting bored. Installing it now on the Ally.

If I remember right quite a few members of the dev team for 16 were from 14s so it kind of makes sense with parts of it feeling like MMO filler missions. 14 as well had some amazing highs.

Grabbed The Super Mario Bros Movie and TMNT Mutant Mayhem in this week's iTunes sale so those should be good to watch over Christmas with my niece and nephew (immediately after buying Mario I saw that it was one of this week's Sky Cinema premieres ). Haven't seen either of them yet so looking forward to it myself, TMNT especially just looks gorgeous.

Why does the Street Fighter II anime movie seem to not be available for streaming anywhere dammit??? I'm gonna have to go dig out my old dvd now you've put me in the mood for shower Chun-Li....I mean fighting goodness.

I had hit that point as well which was probably why I took a break. I think it's supposed to pick up again but I was definitely in a lull when I stopped.

I really miss when Steam Sales were a massive event. Having to pay attention daily for new discounts, sometimes every 4 hours for the flash sales. These days I check on the first day, maybe get one game but leave the rest because I can probably find it cheaper elsewhere and never check back again.

I'm assuming the Steam winter sale will start tonight. Might have to take a look at my wishlist and see what'll be worth getting for the Ally.

Nah, games like Witcher 3 use the open world brilliantly. The entire place feels alive and you stumble across people living their lives, interesting stories etc. It's why I had so much of a problem with Breath of the Wild's open world, because I'd only just played Witcher 3 and it felt empty in comparison.

Yeah the quality of them isn't great. Just make sure if you skip any to still do the ones with a + sign next to them as they're the key items ones.

One thing I appreciated, at least for the first half of the game is that it doesn't overwhelm you wide side quests. You tend to get 1 or 2 new ones pop up after main story missions so I was always happy to get those done before moving onto the next part of the story.

I think it's great but I do hope if it did get used more it doesn't become a crutch. I do think in 16 they already didn't explain some aspects of the world as well as they should have because they knew people could just read up on it using that.
