Oh wow. Momentum was definitely swinging Croatia's way, but I wasn't expecting them to capitalise on it. Luis Enrique will be kicking his teeth right now with his substitutions, they're missing their strength. Koke is one hell of a fighter in midfield, Ferran Torres has been lethal up front, and Sarabia has perhaps been their best player in the tournament for them so far.

First impression was definitely that Spain somehow managed to keep that out, but that replay showed it was clearly well over. Thank goodness for goal line technology, extremely underrated piece of tech since it's come in. Will always think that they should effectively have a (much more) dynamic version of that with chipped boots to help figure out offsides and track player's feet specifically. Considering fingertips, elbows, a dip in the grass -- I really think it's just taking the wording of the rules too far.
-
What an absolutely beauty of a pass to pick out Ferran Torres!
-
Watching Rebić be subbed off and slow down as he walked along the byline before coming to a stop just next to the goal to cheer his team on for a moment was very funny

Spain deserved that. Crazy that's Azpi's first international goal (until you remember he barely played because of Carvajal at least). Pedri completely running the show so far in this second half. Very mature in his composure and awareness for 18, think he'll end up being an absolute steal for Barça in the years to come.

Game on! Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, he's a professional footballer and should be able to sort his feet out in time before it gets to him. I just think he lost his concentration and wasn't ready for the speed, curve, or bounce of it. Passing back is always dangerous, but if you're going to do it, you should put as little pressure on your 'keeper as possible -- it shouldn't have enough pace on it to make the net move! Completely agree, I don't think it should've been a penalty either, and I'm surprised it was given: it was clear to me that the defender had no idea where Koke had got to. If I'm remembering right it wasn't even a tackle, the defender knew he was under pressure and was winding up to boot it out, but Koke was crafty and, like you said, jumped in front of it.

Absolute howler from Simón that, but way too much fizz on it for a backpass, just took an unlucky bounce. Croatia ahead and they'd done nothing to this point to warrant it. Spain were very much on top before, tough to not have something like that not knock your confidence.

E3 2021: Digital Edition, TGA's 2021 & other 2021 events

Quick roundup of the Mana anniversary stream: • Legend of Mana anime is on the way, subtitled The Teardrop Crystal. It is being adapted by Warner Bros. Japan. • a free-to-play mobile game called Record of Mana is on the way, launching worldwide in 2022. • there is a new Mana / Seiken Densetsu game on the way...but it's too early in development for them to show anything. No screens, no title, no systems announced, not even an edgy title on fire, or any talk about it being darker and for adults. Are we sure this is still a Square Enix property? -
I need to vent because it does my head in: I find ITV's football coverage to be absolutely insufferable. Lee Dixon in particular. Spent more time sounding miserable and unenthusiastic, talking about knowing Ian Wright, and both him and Ian talking about how Ronaldo's free kick scoring record isn't what people would believe, than he did talking about what was happening on the pitch. I'm probably jaded by his awful commentary in FIFA (actually, I know I am), but seriously, I'd rather watch the game without commentary when it comes to ITV, and especially Lee Dixon.

Belgium really had to ride their luck tonight to get by. Then again, Thorgan's goal was a more than worthy winner. Awesome second half, end-to-end for the last 30 minutes and stoppage time, Portugal extremely unlucky to not have the luck of a bounce or bobble go their way and find themselves scoring. Those changes worked, just couldn't get it in the back of the net. Ronaldo kept waiting for the international goalscoring record then, and to think -- there might only be one more major international tournament for him with the World Cup.
-
It blows my mind that Pepe in the twilight years if his career still hasn't been able to get a handle on his temper. Dude needs to chill out. Thorgan challenged Dalot but the whistle had long gone for Lukaku to get his head looked at, and he knew it. There was no pressure on what happened next, he just needed to walk away. Match has really started to get heated.
-
Pretty early changes from Portugal in this second half, quite surprised by that. I know they need a change, but taking off the two players who tend to dictate their flow - Moutinho and Bernardo Silva - for two very attacking minded players - Felix and Bruno Fernandes - seems pretty risky at this stage. Feel like those substitutions could well end up deciding which way this game swings now.
-
Beautiful goal from Thorgan. Damn. Unlucky because you felt like Portugal were just starting to turn up the pressure, they just didn't get to him to close him down quickly enough.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (November 15th 2019)
Julius replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
I think you could get by on knowledge of the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, for sure, as it's set between the two for me it didn't really kick into gear until the final 25% - 30% of the story, though I'm sure it's different for others! Just felt a bit by the numbers until it picked up towards the end, but it was enough to keep me going at least. -
That might be the most entertaining 30 minutes of football in this tournament so far, definitely the most entertaining period of extra time I've seen in a long time. Austria very unlucky, lovely and unflinching header to get themselves back in it, but the damage was already done at that point. Really stuck it to Italy, just couldn't get a lucky bounce in the last 6 minutes of extra time. What a start to the Round of 16 today. Can't wait for tomorrow!
-
What a beauty from Chiesa! Excellent job at keeping his composure after that odd first touch glancing back off his forehead, and then calm as you like. Beautiful ball from Spinazzola too.
-
Brilliant stuff from Austria, they've really done such a great job of growing into this game. Definitely had their backs to the wall for the last 10 minutes, after Italy (finally) made some changes -- Chiesa should've been brought on at the 60 minute mark, I feel he adds creativity on the wing that Berardi quite simply doesn't. Italy looked nervous just being back in the knockout rounds of a tournament again, feel like they're missing having Chiellini on the pitch. Now we've seen one Austrian player go down to cramp, I do wonder if they're going to become increasingly leggy and tired as extra time goes on. They've been disciplined up to this point, but once tiredness starts setting in, I think they might be up against it -- unless they want penalties, they really need to just go for it in this next 15 and try to blitz through the Italian defence. The gaps are absolutely there.
-
Italy let off easy with that offside call, they've looked increasingly shaky at the back, and only seem to be having luck down the left going forwards. Fluidity of their play is still, but Austria have been asking a lot of questions. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Shame about the result for Wales, but glad to see Denmark go marching on after what they faced earlier in the tournament.

No, it doesn't have to be on, but I can't recall if the default is for the power supply to the USB ports to be turned off, so it's possible it might be turned off for when the console is off too? You can check this and turn the power supply on for when the console is off through Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode > Supply Power to USB Ports. Not sure which wall adapter you're using, but would have to imagine it might be that, as I use my phone charger sometimes for my controllers and headset and it gets on fine, but I've read a few instances of it not working for others, so not too sure. I know annoyingly you can't charge a DualShock 3 with a wall charger, but don't believe that to be the case with the DualSense.

Also want to chime in and say I'm giving this a miss (for now, could be a game I pick up for Christmas or if I ever see a decent deal on it). Less to do with the reviews and more that I have enough on my Switch that I haven't played yet - as I rarely get around to my Switch at the moment, but hopefully I'll work it in over the summer - and would want to prioritise playing those over this. Also, if I'm being honest, there were quite a few games from the E3 Direct that I'd much rather put my money towards picking up instead, so I feel like this would end up gathering dust on my shelf

Don't believe we've had anything confirmed either way, but for games like Ghost of Tsushima where they've already received next-gen patches, I'm doubtful we'd see a native PS5 release. Just don't think it'd be worth it for them due to the diminishing returns financially after already having a patch out there. Plus, like @Sheikah says, Ghost looks and plays great as is with the PS5 patch.

KONAMI - What the hell are they doing!?
Julius replied to RedShell's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Silent Hill looks...different. Between this and the PES 2022 online beta test literally being called 'New Football Game Online Performance Test' and also releasing today, it's been a strange 24 hours. And no, I'm not joking about that name. Really. Konami -- what the hell are you doing?! -
Watched Luca last night as part of a belated Father's Day get-together (my dad hasn't had a great time of it following his first or second COVID vaccine jabs, but he's soldiered on). Really enjoyed it. The colours popped, it had a great sense of humour, and a whole lot of heart. I loved a lot of the character designs, in particular just how exaggerated some of the faces were -- it felt like a very clear throwback to a time before Pixar (I've never really been a fan of their human faces, to be honest), you could definitely feel the Ghibli influence throughout (and a very obvious nod to them too!). There is a scene where they are very direct about hitting you emotionally, and I think they handled it well, even if it was a bit predictable. They also did a great job of scaling things back, it feels like it very purposefully takes place in a very small and focused space, whereas I think quite a few Pixar films over the last decade have been guilty of trying to do too much in too many places, so this allowed for a much greater emphasis on the characters and their growth, rather than a journey over the course of the film to a particular physical place (again, something a lot of their films have done over the last decade). Only real knock I have against it is that the music is great in the moment but pretty forgettable after the film, but to be fair, again, that's comparing it to some of the most memorable soundtracks in western animation when it comes to other Pixar films, which is a very high bar to set it against. I think Pixar is in a tough spot, and has had a bit of an identity crisis since Toy Story 3, flip-flopping back and forth between unnecessary sequels and some good to great original films in the last decade, but perhaps nowhere near as consistent in my eyes as they were at their peak. Between this and what we got last year - Onward and Soul - it feels like Pixar continue to find their feet and take steps on the right direction, even if they're a bit predictable at times. I'm hopeful that Enrico Casarosa will get another chance to direct in the future, as this was a very strong feature film directorial debut for him, and I feel like he has made himself a solid foundation to build from now having his first feature out the door. Well worth checking out his short film, La Luna, too, which is also on Disney+, I found it to be quite charming. Next up from Pixar is Turning Red, releasing next year, which will serve as the feature film directorial debut for Domee Shi who directed the Pixar short Bao, so I'm very excited for that one, but I'm admittedly a bit nervous about Lightyear (fingers crossed, though!).

To be fair, having played 0 to 6, I used equipped weapons very, very sparingly, because it's really not needed. Honestly, you can get by on your fists and having enough items to replenish your health alone. That being said, seeing a new Heat Action is always cool, so if you end up with a weapon you haven't come across before, it could be worth equipping it just to see how that Heat Action turns out (if you've upgraded your skills to allow for it to be used, anyways).

Yeah, I wasn't very clear, but that's exactly what I was getting at, and I couldn't agree more. Like you said, it gives smaller teams a greater opportunity to put their names out there, and it would only help boost their own financial standing too, but the main thing being that it takes out a sizeable number of games in the run-in for the bigger teams, which would hopefully My mentioning of the prize money in relation to the bigger teams was more of a secondary thing, but I guess it also allows with smaller things like ticket sales. A deep run into a cup competition can fund a smaller team for years to come, whereas the prize money for winning the thing, from the perspective of one of the Big Six (and to be honest, most teams in the Premier League), would be lucky to be considered even as a footnote in their books. I'm not saying that money is the main thing here, as I understand silverware is silverware and winning is a great part of the sport, but the financial aspect is one of the two main reasons you see a lot of bigger clubs fielding their second or even third teams in these games, and the other is that it's because it's also not a major trophy in any sense of the word. There's no reason for them to want to chase it like a smaller club might, which loops back around to the discussion on fixture congestion and prioritising bigger competitions (from both a financial and reputation perspective). There's simply so little riding on the League Cup for bigger teams that it's barmy that they haven't taken teams in Europe out of it before.
