  1. Yep confirmed on their twitter account.
  2. Gamestop pre order price is $149 probably will get it for around £120 here. I'm out. Not that I was ever in.
  3. Engadget have a screenie from Gamestop Kinect is going to be $149.
  4. Ah voice commands, if I could draw I would love to do a web comic. Xbox clean, Xbox Make me a Sammich. Xbox pwn some noobs. Xbox world peace. Skynet................. Lives
  5. So lets see here. We diss the Wii for its motion control. Then we run our own implementation of motion control while calling the original crap. We then follow up by carbon copying the formula created by the original except multiplying that value by five. How many sports and fitness titles do you need. I'm sure we all know how this ends as we've been here before. Each title after two month has gathered a layer of dust, and you feel disappointed in yourself for falling victim to the hype machine.
  6. Hmm Fair enough, quite a departure for them since recently they had only being doing PC stuff and then dipping their hands in Multi console work. Could be a project led by the smaller Budapest studio. I tried the gamespot feed at first, but just took years loading. GT worked the best for me. Still I can't imaging anyone running to get onto the show floor to play with Ken...whatever like they did with the Wii all those years ago. I think people are over motion control now.
  7. How annoying was that kid and that damn tiger. I think what I hate the most is the excessive level of feigned enthusiasm at these events.
  8. I missed that part. So is it being developed by crytek or just using cry engine 3? It seems to be the current in thing to give away free stuff to who ever turns up at your conference. I need to start going to things.
  9. The new hardware looks like it might have received punch in the gut. Maybe that will solve the hardware issues.
  10. Yeah I still can't see myself buying one. I've got a Wii downstairs that isn't receiving much love. If I find the need to wave my limbs around I'll go load up something on that.
  11. It's between the Galaxy S and the desire. Galaxy S has better graphics capability and has a super amoled screen. However there are certain parts about the Galaxy S hardware that for some make the desire a better option. I'm hoping to do a brief run down on the top android handsets in the android appreciate thread later on this week, each with a pros + cons list with a link to a in depth review. It could be a time sensitive review as T-mobile had a 2 month exclusivity period. But I think with vodaphone handsets seem to have a greater period of exclusivity as I don't think any other carrier has the nexus one.
  12. Happy birthday Flamey (was saving this for a birthday thread, but it's one of those things that aren't so humorous over time.)
  13. I'll outbid ash and give you 6. Could do with an app debug unit.
  14. Not fully sure of what you mean there ash but I'll just tell you how it was for me. My HTC desire was sold to me with internet included. The way T-mobile put it across was that you NEED a data plan for the android phone to function. They offer several boosters with my plan one of them is the internet booster, but as I've got it included in my plan already I went for unlimited texts. The booster can be changed on a monthly basis. Most pay monthly plans t-mobile offer include data. The booster really is for non android phones which get the 1GB data as standard where you may need the extra allowance if you're a heavy user. So in a nutshell, if t-mobile sell you an android phone, they sell it to you with the data plan attached. Included is an except from the t-mobile website for the android based SE x10: Hope that helps but it probably just made you more confused. Will review this post after much needed sleep. Only problem is on their website the android phone plans suck now. I got mine for £129 on a £20 a month, 18 month contract. For that I get 300 mins and unlimited texts with my chosen booster. 15. Yeah the official line is: As they don't officially carry it you can purchase an iphone sim only and use it on T-mobile's network where you'd receive the 1GB fair usage data plan. But as it's not part of their product line they don't offer any support. As they will be stocking I-4 I think it's safe to say if you go t-mobile you'd get at least 1GB unless they lowered their standard package. Anyway if you want to register your interest here is the t-mobile iphone page: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/coming-soon/iphone4/
  16. It maybe be possible to get a one up on O2 that t-mobile will have a special data plan for iphones. T-mobile have an android data plan which applies to any android phone which is unlimited data with a 3GB fair usage policy, whereas anything else only gets 1GB Of course if they were expecting an influx of sign ups then possibly not.
  17. Hmm wasn't someone supposed to be making an updated set of banners or something?
  18. I think the problem is android has now got a lot of new features, which still puts it ahead. Such as, wifi hotspot, Flash (html5 debate doesn't matter right here right now and creates more fragmentation and compatibility issues than it solves, things get worse when you consider audio) Push to phone services, V8 in the mobile browser. I would have liked apples to talk more about iOS 4, and integration with other devices out of the i spectrum. I still find the reliance on itunes to do anything very puzzling. Steve mentioned 100 new features in iOS4 but app an app, imovie and stuff we've already seen elsewhere was all that was really shown. They have done some good work making the device more enterprise friendly which my hat goes off to them for that one. I have been getting requests from certain people at work to drop the blackberry usage.
  19. The evo uses Qik for video calling which includes 3/4G (in addition to wifi) Will have to agree with your point on video calling. I think I would take vodaphone and O2 over orange anyday for any handset. Orange tend to crap orange world stuff all over every phone they put out essentially making it rather gimped.
  20. Perhaps not gyro, it's a 3 axis accelerometer I think. Which still isn't as good as sixaxis I suppose. And they did demo it better than the sony's rubber duck demo from E3's past. My comment was in reference to the 4 sensor its joining, which I now realise is a defunct comment anyway as they are things they already had. Mis-interpretation on my part. Anyway What are the top 3 features for everyone, keeping it to three so you'll have to think about it. Retina display screen at 326ppi Battery life improved antenna design
  21. I can see why Foxconn needed to do those raises. Some people will be doing a lot of overtime. I expect this to do better than the ipad in terms of sales numbers vs. time. A lot of people are due a refresh.
  22. I don't know why they keep putting h.264 and open standards in the same sentence. 3GS down to $99. Don't expect a favourable exchange rate on this one. At least they are offering upgrades for touch devices free this time. If that's how I should read it.
  23. And the bomb dropped Wifi only iphone 4 to iphone 4. Pretty pointless if you ask me, but at least it's a feature. I would like to edit my post to say in 2010. Perhaps they are waiting for AT & T to boost their network or for the contract with AT & T to end.
  24. I think they will always be there as a banner. If you hit / activate it then it will expand at which point you will have to close it. Video chat just revealed. S'ok I guess. At least people will actually start doing it now. I've seen various handsets over the years with the capability but not the platform. Seems like video calling is wifi based. May work over 3g, but in the first case. There's skype for that.
