Indeed, GT Pro is a remake of the Gamecube version and i believe that Monster truck 4x4 is originally an xbox game. I have decided to get GT Pro anyway, as someone has mentioned through lack of choice, Racing games are the only games i ever really have any skill at! I need something at launch that i stand a chance of beating people i know on! I seperate racing into three main types: Realisitc: NFS, GT Fast: Excite truck, f-zero, wipe out Battle: Mariokart, rollcage, and so on I always like to try and keep a nice mix of one from each category, so with wii i am looking at: Realistic: GT Pro (even though it's cell shaded, i like cell shading!) Fast: Excite Truck Battle: The inevitable MarioKart! Obviously we have got to wait and see what games start coming out next year to really know how good our choices were at this stage. All i know is... I can't wait!

I love racing games and was really looking forward to Excite truck, so i was a bit dissapointed when it was announced that it wouldn't be a launch title. At the moment i will be getting the wii, a wiimote, nunchuck and retro controller, along with Zelda, Red Steel and Rayman (along with Wii Sports and Wii Play Obviously!). That should cost me £380 so i might get one of the racing games as well before christmas, i don't want to have to many games straight away though as it will mean i can't really get into one and play it properly. Anyway if all goes acording to plan at launch or at least this year as far as racing goes we should have the choice of: Need For Speed Carbon Cars GT Pro Series Monter Truck 4x4 Tony Hawks Downhill jam So then i was wondering which you like the look of? For me i am looking at Getting GT Pro series, even though it is just a wii update of the gamecube version it still looks the best at the minute, NFS is looking good but i honestly don't trust the quality of the series and at least with GT Pro people have already played it! Monster Trucks is also something that i would have been inerested but because i am getting excite truck i don't really want to buy it as it will just mean i have two similar games (even though excite truck is looking 100 times better!) Cars to me at least doesn't look very good and i don't want to encourage the Nintendo = children idea by getting people i know to play that game! Tony Hawks does look good and i like the look of the speed of it but there is just something that makes me uncomfortable about it!

It was interesting to see the use of the 'sort of 3d' futurama type animation, it's looking good!

That does it, I'm moving to america or canada, i don't care which, i just want to be getting a wii soon!!! Plus i would get excite truck as a launch title!!!

Excite truck is looking amazing, if it had been released at launch i would definitely have bought it with the console, the ability to use your own soundtrack is a nice feature. I can see it now, playing excite truck with james blunt singing his heart out in the background! (That was a joke! Linkin Park all the way!)

That will be a long day indeed... **shudders** The advantage of being a 19 year old eBayer really comes into its own in these situations! Roll on midnight between december the 7th and 8th!

Hello there! I was just wandering how you were going to get your wii, i will be getting mine from a midnight opening of an independant games shop in my town. I can't wait, it's going to be amazing! My first ever new console launch since i became properly interested in games and Nintendo! I understand that some people will be getting them for Christmas, some people will have to travel miles to the nearest town to get one and so on, anyway is anybody doing anything interesting to get their wii?

How many of you also have no idea what anime or manga is? (To put it simply without getting to philisophical, they are japanese cartoons and comics, though you should never call them that!) I like the japanese charts better! i have a feeling that this time next year we will see far more nintendo in the top ten!

If you are looking at sales alone it was a spectacular failure, but if you believe in quality games and nintendo magic then it was a great success with lots of quality titles that fetched joy to millions!
