I'm back in the game. I've been very busy in real life moving flat and I've had no access to my PS4 for over a week now. Desperate to get back into Destiny and join in with Raid. I'm only Level 23 at the moment, but hoping to get more hours down and push myself up to the 26-28 region by the end of the week.

Some of the stronger enemies will have shields, coloured either orange, blue or purple. Using a weapon with the corresponding element will do double damage to that shield (e.g. using an solar/orange weapon against an orange shield).

As cool as that is, it's not a "true" inescapable combo. For instance, the Sheik could have teched after the Thunder, or avoided the Thunder through DI or airdodging. Not a huge fan of the new Thunder since I can no longer Thunderflip. Although apparently Pikachu has a custom Thunder which is similar to his Melee one so hopefully I'll be able to Thunderspike with that! Pika's best move I think is his Fair. It has very little landing lag so I can usually follow it up with an Utilt or Ftilt. It is also my go-to gimping/edgeguarding move.

Not sure what all the fuss is about! One legendary engram, one legendary weapon. 100% success rate! We had a good session last night. S.C.G, Sheikah and I attempted the Heroic Strike, but got our arses handed to us. It became very apparent that we were severely underleveled, myself in particular. I kept getting killed in one hit by the Wizards and the Knights with the swords. We'l try again at the end of the week when we've all leveled up a bit. Finished the night with some good Crucible matches. I think my favourite is the 3 on 3 skirmish playlist, seems to be the only playlist where you can properly co-ordinate a team strategy. Unfortunately I had my first disconnection during one of the Control matches and had to call it a night then and there. I'll be on tonight again for more fun and games.

The trouble is, if it's just me and you playing, then we would definitely prefer to just play regular Smash. Smash Run seems more geared towards a 4 player party vibe. I can see us playing it once and then being done with it. Enjoyed it too mate, had loads of fun last night. I know I'm going a bit off-topic here, but Destiny has been a great platform for me to meet and play with loads of N-Europers that I have only conversed with online. It truly is a social playing experience, and one that is only possible through the use of headsets, party chat and game lobbies.

We got some pretty duff maps last night. We had better the night before when we kept playing the "Official N-Europe Map" in Clash. I wish there was some kind of voting or veto system to select the maps. I wanted to upload some footage from the Wednesday night session, but the PS4 isn't recognising any of my USB devices. Has anyone had any luck so far with this? @Daft, how did you transfer your videos across?

After 3 seasons of near-misses, I can finally use this video again: I really enjoyed this season in the Elite League. The gap between the top and bottom teams seems to be shrinking, and that's evident in that matches have generally been a lot tighter and points have been dropped all over the place. I won the league with just 36 points and there were three teams who could have won the championship on the final day. Great season for Lylat Wanderers by the way. Getting the double over Eights is seriously impressive. You usually have great change reports too, so next season could be your big chance.

You know, at some point yesterday when I had only been playing the game single player, I was starting to question the quality of this game and whether it had failed to live up to the hype. Then S.C.G, Map and I did the Moon Strike mission and all my doubts evaporated. Ending the night with us going to the Crucible as a team of six N-Europers was the cherry on top. I had so much fun last night with all of you guys, thank you very much. I'll hopefully be online tonight at around 9.

Good stuff man. I am clearly not used to the PS4's video recording features. I was playing Crucible yesterday and managed to pull off two awesome headshots in a row with the Sniper. My instinct was to immediately hit Share twice. Realised afterwards that I had basically deleted all of my gameplay up to that point.

Got my Destiny bundle in the post earlier. I've joined the N-E Clan and will be around tonight for some games.

Oh wow. My family went on holiday to Florida in October 1999. We went to a mall on Halloween and while we were there, my brother bought Pokemon Yellow. It had only just come out in North America at the time and it wasn't going to come out in Europe for another six months. Peeps at school were so jealous.

If you've finished Season 2, you may want to consider watching the original UK version of House of Cards (it's on Netflix). It's nowhere near as well produced as the US version, but it is worth watching for Ian Richardson's acting alone.

Twenty-four year late to the party, but I finally started watching Twin Peaks. I'm four episodes in and I think I have a man-crush on Kyle MacLachlan. That haircut man. I think I may also start carrying a tape recorder around with me and start monologuing about every aspect of my life.

God damn it Haden, you were supposed to play youth to maximise development. Thankfully, Eights drew today. Can't afford any more slip-ups.

Every time I'm out driving nowadays, I'm listening to Planet Rock on the radio. I'm just a sucker for classic rock and old hits from the 60s.

Of course, I wasn't saying it was. I've been a football supporter all my life and realised a long time ago how silly some fans' attitudes are to rival clubs/supporters. The point I was making was that with football, you usually only follow one club. You stick with them through thick and thin, you don't change loyalties because another club is more successful. Console manufacturers on the other hand are not football teams. You pick the consoles which will provide you with the best entertainment for the best value for money. And you can always buy more than one if you want to.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I never considered the Game Boy Color to be a true successor to the Game Boy. Similar 8-bit processor, same resolution, same button layout... it just had that little bit more oomph to play games in colour. If I recall correctly, a lot of the heavy hitters released around the Color's release were all compatible for the Game Boy: Wario Land 2, Link's Awakening DX and of course the Pokemon games. It meant that people who owned a Game Boy Pocket at the time didn't need to upgrade to the Color to play the latest games. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if Nintendo really considered the Color to be a true successor to the Game Boy, they didn't exactly push it as one.

Mate, they're just companies. Same as Nintendo. They're not football teams. Do you own or have you ever owned a PC with Windows? Have you ever bought a CD? My guess is that the answer to both of these questions is yes. In all likelihood, you have knowingly bought products or services from Microsoft and Sony. If both companies are scum, should your boycott not extend to everything they offer and not just the game consoles? Your hatred is misplaced. What have they ever done to you? If you drop this brand loyalty bollocks and start to shop around a bit more, you will be a much happier consumer.

This has probably already been posted, but ShopTo are selling the Destiny PS4 Bundle for £320 off eBay. I just went ahead and bought one.
