I dont think nintendo would release wii for $250, i think $200 is a lot more likely anyway. $200 is like £130, the same price as gcn when it was released, and that seems pretty mainstream in my opinion, and i also think $250 would be an acceptable price if they had to release it for that (people are forgetting that wii is next gen and is new technology, it just seems old when compared to ps3/360). Besides nintendo are still considering what to package with the wii before giving a pricepoint. It could be $250 but have included the nunchuck, VC controller, and lightgun attachments all packaged or maybe even a free demo of warioware (like they did with hunters with ds).

He is quite rich (and has all this stuff like a hdtv and a 360 and all the old consoles with a billion games) and he is moaning about a possible $250 (which he knows will probs be about $199). I dont get this guy. It would seriously suit his opinions better if you joined IGN 360.

I'd say nintendo need to somehow set up a gamer profile for each wii console connected. It should your record as a gamer for each game you've played online. Rather than have "friend codes" you should be able to search for members and send them a friend request (should be possible with Connect24). You could also possibly send them messages online to challenge friends for a game (or you could just play with strangers). Maybe im hoping for too much (tell me if it sounds like xbox live, i dont know what its like). It could be even more possible with the opera browser.

Your buying 10 games at launch. Wtf?! You wont be able to play them all and by the time you do they will cost about £10 each. Wait for some better games. And you're paying how much!? Do you have enough left to pay the mortgage?

The only game i really want online is SSBB. Nintendo hasnt revealed very much about Wifi yet so im starting to think that it wont be ready in time for launch.

Not easy but not exactly that hard. ganon and mewtwo are pretty stupid so you can just lure them into doing a move like ganon's up b and then just keep resting them, or you can just beat them using your skillz with jiggs. If anyone if stuck on event 51, i advise you to get good with jiggs!

Kirby... maybe for the n64 version, but in melee you stay away. I dont know why anyone would ever use young link when there was adult link right next to him.

You have nothing to worry about. Metroid is a single play experience, do you really want the metroid prime 2 multiplayer online? And warioware online would be completely stupid, its supposed to be noncompetitive party game. I think the "strong no" referred to the idea of an online warioware being a stupid idea.

Most likely £35 but i guess that will still be okay. I have 2 brothers and we pay for games together, so when we ordered a £30 gcn game off amazon, I only had to pay £10! I find paying £40 on my own very extortionate.

I'll most likely get: One console (with controller) 2 more controllers (they will come with the nunchuck attachment) 2 or 3 games 1 VC controller If i can get it in a sort of bundle, I'm hoping for a total price of around £250.

Yea, the scale of some of the screenshots reminds me of the elder scrolls 4. I would have to say though that both resi 4 and this looks next gen IMO.

Totally agree with you mate. I have to say that I love 9 more than 8, because I felt that the story was better (more emotional if you ask me). "Lionheart owns all." Omega weapon found out the hard way .

No that's what makes mario kart popular. In mario kart the item system is handicap based, purposely giving last place a chance of winning, whereas it's not the case in smash bros. You are forgetting that the "elite player" can also pick up these items, so it doesnt really make the crap player win. A "noob" would probably not beat an "elite" if he got 3 hammers in 2 minutes. Items dont really balance the field in smash bros, it just makes it more unpredictable. But you probably mainly play 3 or 4 player matches anyway, which are highly unpredictable and uncompetitive anyway, and items just make the game more manic anyway, which I have to say can be quite fun. In case you dont know, smash is considered by many as one of the most skill based games ever, and is a real fighting game (if I am not mistaken, the characters are fighting eachother in a 2D environment). It is much more skilful than games like Tekken (learn massive combos when you're on your own) and Soul Calibur (good but a button basher).

I dont think so, gcn games did work with progressive scan (although i am not sure if all of them did).

I have to thank goron3 for helping me convert away from items (tbf it was me getting annoyed when i was winning and my opponent got a ray gun and killed me VERY cheaply. I find that items can only be okay if its a friendly 2 on 2 match or a 4 way, and the rubbish items are taken off (red shell, flipper and ray gun). You cannot use it for 1on1s as it just becomes a game of luck, nor can you use timed matches for 1on1s cos you can get 1 kill and then play very defensively and evasively.
