  1. Yup, on my way!
  2. I wouldn’t be able to join that early. How about standard stages from 8pm for an hour and a half, then 30 mins of custom mayhem? Anyway, the last thing I want is to be responsible for people not having fun or dropping out, so even if you just keep it 100% standard stages, I’m totally cool with that.
  3. Yeah, sorry @Ike. This has turned into a custom stage fest. It’s really weird seeing the original versions of some of my older stages. Complete with bugs. *EDIT* Cheers for the games everyone!
  4. Wow, didn’t realise it’s been that long! Looking forward to joining you guys for this again. I’ll have to remember to connect my Switch via ethernet cable, hopefully I can find the adapter that I’ve not seen/used since October 2021!
  5. Yup, and I finally picked up the Expansion Pack sub as a result. Got a lot of content to catch up on now, with the MK8DX and Animal Crossing DLC, plus all of the additional retro console stuff. Currently trying to focus on Banjo-Kazooie, which I've somehow never played through fully before! It can be tricky to readapt to old school games like this sometimes though (especially with how weird it is playing N64 with a modern controller layout ) but I'm making an effort to stick with it.
  6. Hopefully, yeah. I’ve not played Smash in absolutely ages either, so that will be interesting too. *EDIT* Long distance suddenly banana! : And nice Green Shell bounce @BowserBasher *EDIT 2* What the hell did they do to the music on L.A. Laps!? Most of the MK8DX renditions improve on the Tour versions, but I'm definitely not a fan of how they handled that one.
  7. Yep, I picked up 12 months of the online expansion pack recently, so I am indeed back. But pretty rusty… Mario Kart Tour has destroyed my ability at proper Mario Kart! Anyway, great to join you guys for this once again, was really good fun.
  8. That might be a little bit too stupid, even for me!
  9. Wow! That is absolutely glorious, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Not sure if I'll ever get around to playing it for myself, but it was great just to see that trailer and your gameplay of it.
  10. Would be cool to see R.O.B make a comeback. Also, they might still add Wiggler to Tour (I really thought he was already in it ) as some of the previous Booster Pass content has ended up in Tour at a later date.
  11. Where did you hear that?
  12. True, but I do find myself coming back to it every single time there's an update or new DLC, just to see what's been added and grab the extra achievements. The DLC characters make it even more impossible to lose, some of them are literally invincible.
  13. I think they must be selling a lot of this... stuff:
  14. Oh yeah, I remember hearing about how the game runs on a newer engine on other platforms. I believe the PC version will also migrate to that engine in the near future though, so 15FPS (reckon I've seen it go even lower! ) might become a thing of the past. I'm quite interested to see how the game will be priced on Switch. It is incredibly fairly priced everywhere else, and even completely free on mobile due to the fact the developer couldn't find a publisher that was willing to cooperate with their low price business strategy, so in the end just gave it away. I wonder if the infamous "Switch tax" will cause problems for them as well. I suppose they could take a similar route to the mobile versions and go F2P with paid DLC. On the subject of DLC, how good is this!?: Bloody good, that's how good.
  15. First no Vampire Survivors thread, and now this!? Come on N-E, pull your socks up. I only played through the first Dragon's Dogma fairly recently, and felt like a complete fool for not having got around to it sooner. Had a really great time with the game though, and would say I even enjoyed it more than Elden Ring! So yeah, definitely hyped for the sequel, which is looking very good indeed.
  16. Yeah, that is a valid concern. When it's running at full craziness (past 30 mins) even my gaming desktop can struggle to keep up! The fact they're adding a 4-player mode probably wont be helping matters either. Or perhaps they've come up with some clever optimisations, time will tell.
  17. Make it four: Playing as Poochy is absolutely hilarious in MK Tour here's hoping they add him to MK8 as well, although I think Poochy might struggle riding a bike.
  18. Yeah, they've really nailed the look. I'd be amazed if the same can end up being said for some of the dialogue though. Pretty sure this will be altered in the new version:
  19. No thread for this!? I'll assume most people have already played it elsewhere, but for anyone that perhaps hasn't, do not miss out on this game!! I've played through it on GamePass, mobile and most recently/extensively on Steam (with the DLC), so 3 times now and yet I'm still here contemplating "quadruple-dipping" on Switch! A word of warning though, Vampire Survivors is one hell of an addictive game! It doesn't appear to be up to all that much at first glance, or even when you initially start playing it, but eventually it will get its hooks into you and it becomes practically impossible to stop! If you ever wondered what a NES game with no sprite restrictions whatsoever would be like, here's your answer. When you get a good run going the screen is literally crammed with enemies, items and projectiles, it becomes complete and utter psychedelic madness!
  20. Think that was someone else, as I'm pretty sure I got it online from PlayAsia. Man, that's a blast from the past! Are they still going?... *has a look*... They are.
  21. Yes and no. It's my least played WarioWare game, put it that way. Actually, that's a massive lie, just remembered WarioWare Snapped! But Get it Together is certainly my second least played in the series. Something just felt a little bit off in that game. And while WarioWare Move It definitely seems like a step in the right direction again, it's obviously not DIY 2, which makes me sad. I will continue to wait... patiently.
  22. Absolutely loving the look of this! Been a long, long time since a surprise reveal in a Nintendo Direct really got my attention. I've so missed that feeling of being instantly hyped by a brand new Nintendo game. The attention to detail in the characters and their animations is so good! You can tell they wanted to emphasise that aspect in the trailer by the fact there were multiple cuts to zoomed-in footage throughout. It looks really great. Towards the end of the vid I was also thinking how cool it would be if Nintendo were to make Wonder available as a DLC theme for Super Mario Maker 2. Probably more likely they'd hold that back for a 3rd Mario Maker at this point though. But yeah, I finally have another Nintendo game to look forward to! Zelda TotK will continue to keep me entertained (and actually using my Switch) in the meantime.
  23. Nice surprise! Shame it was only in the Japanese Direct, but it's still great to see that the project hasn't been cancelled. Wonder if there's any chance this might also release on Steam/Epic, similar to how Monkey Barrels was initially revealed and released on Switch but then later arrived on PC. I don't reckon it's very likely to make it out of Japan though which is unfortunate, but there's always the option of getting it from their eShop I suppose. Although I've not imported/played a Japanese exclusive title for a long time... think the last one was actually Captain Rainbow on Wii! Anyway, here's hoping this game does well. It might convince Konami to offer Good Feel use of the Goemon IP for a remake, or better yet, an original (official ) Mystical Ninja game! Yep, same.
  24. Checked out the demo on PC. First impressions were unfortunately not good though as it seems they're using unreal engine (instead on the dragon engine) for this game, and that in combination with DX12 means performance is all over the shop. So much stuttering! After a bit of research I discovered how to force the game to run using DX11 though, and that sorted the problem completely, the game ran silky smooth afterwards. Quite why it isn't set up like that by default I have no idea, but it has put me off picking this up at launch quite a bit. Also, the enemies in the second section of the demo are serious damage sponges, fighting them was actually pretty frustrating and a reminder of some of the notorious bosses in previous Yakuza games that had like a thousand health bars! Pretty sure these are just a standard enemy type though, which will no doubt be annoying if you have to encounter them regularly in the full game. So yeah, bit of a disappointing demo really. I imagine I'll still pick this up, just at a later date once it's on sale.
  25. I don't reckon you would. Yeah... the truth is I remain seriously unimpressed with Nintendo's upcoming Switch plans. That's not to say it was a bad Direct, just that it was bad for me. If I could erase my memory of the past few decades and all of the games I'd already played, then I would've loved it! As things stand though, watching that Direct felt like watching a repeat. Still looking forward to Zelda at least, and the new MK8 track looks good (hopefully they chuck that one on Tour at some point too, although it also just got an original track in the form of Piranha Plant Cove). Actually, Pikmin 4 is looking pretty great as well, but unfortunately I've enjoyed that series less and less with each instalment so it's not something I'm interested in checking out either. But hey, it's all good, I've got enough to keep me going on PC (am re-subbed to Game Pass ) while I wait for Nintendo to get creative again.
