This weeks UK sales charts. Majora's Mask is doing brilliant but I just noticed there's not a single Wii U title in the top 40.

They get Xenoblade Chronicles X at the end of April. That's the first big release of 2015? So the end of May iin Europe we get Splatoon. But is that a major release? There's nothing along the lines of Smash and MK8 until we get Zelda or X.

It wasn't like this until too long ago. Japan was the one place where Wii U was beating the PS4. Now it has nothing over it. I don't think Japan has had a major release this year and don't know when the next one is. Kirby hardly counted and bombed. It's worse here in Europe. What and when is the next title? Splatoon? That's in May and am not interested. Mario Party 10 in March? Again not interested and that's not a major title. So much for Nintendo repeatedly saying there'll be no more droughts again and again.

We're looking at a 3:1 ratio of sales again this week compared to PS4.

I think you had a good run there especially considering Nintendo abandoned their own services a few years previously. I'm surprised anybody was/is still using the Wii for services like this. The Wii was brutally slow. The Wii U version should be miles better and again like most things in life it's not available in Ireland.

You won't have to worry about that competition for too much longer.

A quote from Game Informer magazine. "Nintendo is planning on bringing Fox Mcloud out of retirement for a new entry on the Wii U. Fox will be able to fly his Arwing and seamlessly transform into a tank during certian sequences. Pilots can control the game either with their Gamepad's analog sticks or motion control. The game was very early in development and looked admittedly rough the last we saw of it, but we're hoping Fox gets the new, grand adventure he deserves."

So much for the idea of the gold and silver Mario amiibo being Club Nintendo rewards. I don't know why people ever bought into this. Especially if you want them all, it's just so much hassle and expense with no guarantee of being able to buy the full collection.
