As said 685% increase? Of what? I'd say they got that figure from Nintendo as well but wouldn't be told the actual total. It sounds so much better than say for example that it sold 6,850 units. Couple this with the fact sales were falling to 0 level leading up to last week in anticipation of the price drop and the new bundle. Long gone are the almost weekly press release statements bragging of Wii and DS sales.

I don't know, good question. Especially as they've added "no new features" so what was the point? Add to that the rumours of a delay on the Wii U version and refusal to hand over a finished copy of the games to reviewers. I know I'd prefer Montreal working on it than Bucharest. Has anybody seen any footage of the Wii U version? I think I heard there's like 40 seconds out there. I must check it out.

The price suggests nothing. New colours already? They need to do something so at least they're trying. Wii or Gamecube never got new colours this early if I remember correctly. Desperate times, call for desperate measures. If they'd reduce the price by €50 they'd be in business.

I've no doubt it'll be very good but I still have a few niggling doubts and I'd wait for the game to come out before calling it AAA. FIFA is a perfect example of a franchise that's not the best but it's heavily promoted and it sells like wildfire regardless of how each iteration changes. There's a reason they've all the big stars in their ads and have players promoting it at various stores. All that doesn't come cheap. I know it's not quite the same but why don't indie developers charge £40 for a game on the Wii U shop? It is annoying that developers think just because it's a physical game sitting on a shelf they're entitled to charge the same as AAA titles. I'm talk about games like Turbo: Super Stunt Squad Wii U and Just Dance Kids 2014 Wii U.

I didn't know you and Ronnie have review copies of this game. Presumptious much? I'd prefer to wait until the game is finished. While I can't stand FIFA and I'll never get to play GTA 5 owning only Nintendo consoles just look at their respective advertising campaigns. It's wall to wall, non stop. GTA 5 reportedly cost $150 million to make. 3D World will absolutely pale in comparison both advertising wise and budget wise. I still haven't seen a single ad for The Wind Waker. Never saw a single Wonderful 101 ad, Mokong said he seen them on during his sons TV programmes. Good one Nintendo.

Yes and I've said countless times I believe that number is €250 for a premium bundle including the pro controller. Also I'm not a fan of download codes, I want a physical copy of the game.

You can add more to that list, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports HD, NSLU that Karaoke muck and Wii Party U. They are cheap and lazy and yet charge us full price. Wonderful 101, though that was developed by Platinum, it was funded by Nintendo, it sold awful and yes Pikmin 3 must have made a loss. Lego City Undercover again must have been funded by Nintendo and sales are low.

I know they have billions in reserve in their war chest but I mean their balance sheet is not pretty thanks to the Wii U.

With the way even Nintendo games are selling I doubt many of them are turning a profit on Wii U and they're taking a loss on the hardware so as was said shareholders and execs can't be happy with the situation. If it weren't for the 3DS they'd be f#%ked.

They're not much of an achievement. I've seen a few so far and they were all in plain sight. For it to be an achievement I'd expect you to earn them by say reaching an impossibly high area or some platforming perfection. I hope the other stamps are more difficult to obtain, I'd like there to be some challenge.

Workaround for your current YouTube troubles on Wii U I noticed that with the new Wii U update to version 4.0 the freezing users were experiencing while playing YouTube videos has gone away. Another issue has cropped up in its place. Sometimes when playing a YouTube video (usually directly from the YouTube site), users may be given an error message stating "Sorry, this video is not available on this device." Apparently, there is a workaround that fixes this temporarily. If you go to the Wii U Internet Browser start page, you will see a settings tab in the upper right corner. Click that and scroll down to "Set User Agent". Change the setting from Wii U to Internet Explorer. This resets every time the browser is closed. When you try to access the video now, a Flash Player needed dialogue box will pop up but will go away. This change will allow those unplayable videos to load properly. A side note - you can change the resolution BEFORE playing the videos as opposed to getting the option after it has started as with the Wii U agent settings. There is another way to watch videos without going into "Set User agent". To do so, all you have to do is make a little change in the URL by putting _popup after the word watch and before the question mark.
