  1. Really, I'm twisting things? I think not.
  2. Have a look at this and say that again. It was only 1 aspect of the gamepad.
  3. I'm not saying everyone has the same opinion. I'm saying it's not been used greatly so far. I would love to see it used properly. I think I've great ideas on how to use the gamepad and I'm only a gamer. It's Nintendo's job to sell it and implement it's functions and they've failed. If you're not going to use it then why bother put it in? The same goes for the camera and NFC. It's probably too late now, it's fate is sealed.
  4. Each to their own but I would not call that revolutionary and I'm sure I'm not alone in that thinking. Here's somebody else that has a problem with the gamepad but you'll run this down as well. He's a Wii U developer but what does he know, right? http://mynintendonews.com/2014/03/04/nicalis-founder-hits-back-at-the-wii-u-gamepad/ How do you insert a tweet correctly?
  5. I'm fairly sure Nintendo could shoot you point blank in the face, set you on fire and you'd probably say Nintendo were right to do so, thank them and ask for more. I enjoy the gamepad for browsing, but it's hardly revolutionised gaming. DKCR:TF doesn't even use it. Still waiting for Nintendo to truly utilise it. Tell me how it's revolutionised gaming? ZombiU was the best use of the gamepad, a 3rd party launch game. "Damaging the company a little"? That's an understatement. A lot of people prefer using the pro controller over the gamepad. The Wii U is practically dead, that's hardly balanced or successful.
  6. @RedShell Paying nearly €400 for a console that's barely more powerful than PS3/XBOX360 is hardly a great balance between function and cost. Made all the worse now that PS4 has launched with far better tech for a similar price. They got away with it last generation because of the remote and Nintendo have become fat and lazy thinking they could just repeat the same process this gen.
  7. Good points, I personally see it as a money racket. The toy isn't necessary, it's just a hook. But I suppose that's the point. I know it's got potential to generate big profits and well Nintendo need that and it is better that kids play that than COD.
  8. They'll be relying on the casuals for that and that hasn't panned out too well so far. I really dislike the toy merchandising, I think it's a scam. If they come up with other functions great but the toys is just a gimmick and isn't necessary. I'm still waiting for Wii U's first major killer must have game. MK8 while great and I'll buy it, is just more of the same, Smash the same. X or Zelda will most likely be for me the first truly must have unless something crawls out of the woodwork in the meantime. Yes I meant other Nintendo consoles.
  9. I don't see it turning any profit unfortunately. Unless cost of production goes down quicker than the retail price and like I said who'll be left to sell it? This is a loss making console unlike all the others and with worse sales to match. The amount of times people have said this game or this game will start the sales flowing. I wouldn't even call it a false dawn, nothing has worked so far. MK8 really is the last chance saloon but I have my doubts.
  10. I know all the negatives but somethings got to give. You can't have a ghost console for 6 years. What retailer is going to be selling it in say 2 years time? This cannot continue indefinitely. Wii U has had a price drop. Some retailers are under selling just to try and get rid of it. @Serebii What profit has the Wii U made so far? What profit will it make this year? Likely answer, none.
  11. How much longer do you give the Wii U? I'm guessing this time next year they'll wrap things up. Sales are down so far on last years, 8 retail releases from January to July. All the secondhand sites I look at, people are selling their Wii U's and there's little interest being shown from would be buyers. There's no way this can continue for at least another 5 years. Retailers will force their hand. Some have discontinued already and others might as well have. I seen nothing from the supposed Tesco deal, wtf was that about? It's exactly as was, nothing. The Wii U is dead and a handful of Nintendo titles scattered throughout the year won't make a blind bit of difference.
  12. I'm talking about the football not just the results. Your football has been awful, you've admitted it. You've barely beaten rubbish teams, lost to some of them and now you think you can beat Arsenal and draw against Chelsea. In your last few games you've lost to Dnipro first leg, 1-1 until the sending off in the second leg, ruined that match. Lost to Norwich and scraped a 1-0 home win against Cardiff. Hardly world class.
  13. You're living on another planet. Spurs have been simply awful in the last while. Took the referee to help you out in Europe midweek. You've just scraped a win against the second worst team in the Premiership 1-0 at home and you're talking about beating Arsenal and getting something from the Chelsea game? Whatever you're taking I'd stop now before it becomes permanent. I do hope Spurs finish ahead of United but it doesn't change the facts.
  14. Why? He'd still have the original console. The games and everything else is on the console not the gamepad. Flog off the second console minus gamepad for parts.
  15. Unless there's visible signs that you dropped it, I'd be tempted to leave out the bit about dropping it and just say it stopped working. Is it still under warranty?
  16. Anywhere between 0% and absolute 0% chance. Shulk will be a possibility eons before Travis is even contemplated. And Shulk has about a 2-4% chance. Pac-man is the only real 3rd party character with enough clout to make the cut. With Namco co-developing it's a possibility. They don't deserve it though, Namco's home console support for Nintendo has been dire. Still pissed off about Graces and every other game we've missed. In my books they're nearly as bad as Konami.
  17. That's why Gamespot gave it a 6. Out of 62 reviews over on Metacritic I'm not in the least bit surprised to see that their review is still bottom of the barrel. Strange isn't it?
  18. Just hearing Pardew has been fined £100,000 and given a formal warning by Newcastle. He's very lucky, thought they might use that as an excuse to sack him. He won't be so lucky with the FA.
  19. http://mynintendonews.com/2014/03/01/only-nintendo-3ds-wii-u-xbox-one-and-playstation-4-show-software-growth-in-uk-during-january/ It's nice and all that Wii U software is on the increase but they're absolutely dwarved by the competition. 65k is pretty insignificant. February should hopefully see an increase thanks to DKCR:TF.
  20. Can I vote for myself? That way I'll at least get 1 vote. Feel free to vote for me everybody.
  21. http://mynintendonews.com/2014/02/28/retro-studios-calls-wii-u-a-powerhouse-and-confirms-new-game-in-development/ Good to know. My money's on Metroid but you never know and if it is I'll be asking why now and well because this was needed before DK.
  22. Only got in but heard on the radio on the way home Dnipro should've had a penalty and Soldado should've been sent off in the 1st half. Vertonggen not for the first has got someone sent off, sniper time. Ruined the game for Dnipro, crucial period when the game was 1-1. Let them win, they'll clearly never win the Europa and it'll be a distraction from the PL.
  23. Nnnnoooo!!!!!!! It's the end of the world as we know it! So that's why nobody's buying the Wii U. They're all too busy playing online on their Wii. Seriously though that will be truly a sad day. I still remember the day MH3 servers shut. I still play some of these games online from time to time.
  24. I don't think he was happy with the script. Same story with Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver, they never came on board. Rick Moranis turned his back on acting a long time ago. Bill Murray lines in the game are very mumbled. I struggle to know what he's saying at times.
