A translation of the plot of Splatoon from their Japanese Twitter account reads as: http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=137707879&postcount=704 https://mobile.twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/530539193651707906

http://recode.net/2014/11/05/nintendos-reggie-fils-aime-on-holiday-strategy-call-of-duty-and-mobile-games-qa/ I don't think people have read this properly. Not just the article from nintendoeverything that I quoted. There's so much bluff, spin and ignoring of what he's actually asked. Another example, he's asked: He never answered what he was asked. There's tonnes of inaccuracies. Who's benefit is this interview for? The casual gamer? I don't think somehow casual gamers will be thinking to themselves, "I must read what the CEO of NOA has been saying lately." It's the serious gamers like myself that reads it and I find it infuriating. Quotes like: A weaker console with practically no third party support and relations, poor retail support, weaker online options and many more problems. Sales that won't reach Gamecube levels and he likes his chances? How can you take that seriously? I suppose it's how you interpret that quote. Yes it'll certainly be differentiated.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U Disc Art Pic of the day. Here's a new stage, Wuhu Island. Flying around Wuhu Island may remind you of the Pilot Wings stage, but this time we tour famous locations on the island. For example, here's the starting line of a power-cruising race. You may also find yourself at a mountain summit, in front of a fountain, on a suspension bridge, in a fighting arena, or riding on a boat. The stage really feels like a resort vacation. I've been so busy with developing this game that I dreamed about tropical islands every time I saw this stage. …Beaches in the summer are great, aren't they?

That's it. I was racking my brain earlier trying to think of who it was that it reminded me of but it wouldn't come to me. Thank you.

Yes liar probably wasn't the appropriate word to describe Reggie here. Deceitful is more like it. Still hate him.

Miyamoto has hinted that Pikmin 4 may be in development for the Wii U. In a recent interview he's quoted as saying: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/events/141030qa/03.html

You've talked rubbish right from the off just like Reggie. Shows how much you know. Monster Hunter came to the Wii exactly because it was weak hardware. Capcom didn't want to spend the money making a new engine for it. I don't deny Monster Hunter 3 was great, it was brilliant, in the top 3 Wii games easily. But look at the Wii U version, it's still the same, just HD. If Vita had got Monster Hunter, things would be drastically different in Japan. Monster Hunter is a beast. Nintendo spent money to get Dragon Quest exclusive. That worked out well didn't it? Took a lifetime to arrive as the bell tolls were ringing out for the Wii and never came West. Where was our Street Fighter, our Resident Evils(cheap onrail shooters don't count), our Final Fantasies, our Mass Effects, our Metal Gear Solids, our Grand Theft Autos, and on and on and on? Utter b0ll0x! That tiny line alone and you've failed straight away. Wii was number one but we got cheap, lazy a$$ games for the most part to fund their big brothers brethren. I didn't deny the other reasons. I said Is that highlighted enough for you now? That's just your first paragraph. I'm not dealing any longer with someone so inept at reading properly what I said. All your other paragraphs are equally full of crap.

That's not all of it, that's hust what nintendoeverything quoted, the rest is at the second link. But from this section: They also want a console powerful enough going forward to deliver their ambitions. To say we've doubled last years, well that's easy, last years sales were sh1te. Again with smoke and mirror tactics, percentages and doubling and trebling. That's why we had a reel of indie games last night instead of major third party support. A range of games? Ya, that's missing loads of genres and release at a rate like a dripping tap. What a great opening line, Watch Dogs? Where's our third party support after that? What's the difference he asks between the competition? Eh, they're selling far better than the Wii U for starters. Here's another novel idea. Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't we have the best of both worlds? Didn't mind trumpeting that Blops II was best on Wii U when it launched. When it wasn't. Remember the furore over that. Now he's changed his tune. So we've to wait 2 years from now that's provided the console sells well for the competition to come back. What was happening 2 years ago or more? Where's those games, surely they're ready now? They f###ed up long before the Wii U launch. There's games out now on the competition that can't run on the Wii U. Only going to get worse. "Our developers". Yes to hell with what 3rd parties want. They gave us a console from 2006. Bayonetta 2 takes up a large part of the hard drive. They knew things like this would happen and they still gave us only 32GB of memory. If space wasn't a problem I'd bet that 10% would be higher. Edit: Here's that interview with Reggie on CNN about Black Ops, more specifically the Wii U. Looking back now it's even more cringy and embarrassing. http://www.gamesradar.com/reggie-fils-aime-says-3rd-party-games-call-duty-look-dramatically-better-wii-u/

Jim Beeglin last night on TV commentating, roughly: "Man City and The Champions League are like a bad marriage. They'll be getting a divorce soon."
-
I didn't want to see another Rainbow Road. Sure it's the original but I hate them and now that makes 3 in the game. It's a bit much.

Standing upright and full view of their full garb. More here.

Majora's Mask 3DS VS N64 &ap=%%2526fmt%%3D22&fmt=22&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01">&ap=%%2526fmt%%3D22&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="615" height="360"> It's great that it's being remade but I think a Wii U version would be better, don't think it's suitable for handhheld. It was always going to happen on the 3DS though with the engine sitting there from OOT Remake. It doesn't look as dark or gritty, maybe it's something to do with 3D. Is there no way this could go on the Wii U eShop? Oh and the moon is the same as in Hyrule Warriors supposedly.

This is why I hate Reggie. Just listen to the BS: http://nintendoeverything.com/reggie-on-dlc-third-parties-mobile-new-hardware-digital-sales/ http://recode.net/2014/11/05/nintendos-reggie-fils-aime-on-holiday-strategy-call-of-duty-and-mobile-games-qa/ He's an out and out liar! Sometimes I feel like I want to Smash him in the face.
-
I've seen that since. He didn't make it clear in the video which region, he just said targeting 2015 while showing Japanese footage. Can't wait for it.
-
Pic of the day. Here's something we didn't even announce in "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50-Fact Extravaganza"(“ Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50 Must-See Things”)--a stage from Yoshi's Woolly World. This stage was added and developed quite near the end of development. The surfaces are soft and cushiony. The mobiles are placed in different locations depending on the situation, and they tilt according to weight distribution. The stage also gets rearranged, so the ground may disappear temporarily during a remodel.

No. I'm talking about the sequel X for Wii U.
-
Hadn't realised there was such a delay for Europe. Now I see why some people weren't happy. Luckily, I don't think I'm really interested in it but OUCH for those that care. I'm more concerned with Xenoblade Chronicles X "targeting 2015" and I bet that's just for Japan if they're lucky. Sounds like 2016 for us Westerners.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U One Dog, One Bird, One Zapper
-
Wii U was very meh. Nice reveal of Duck Hunt Dog, new tracks for MK8 look savage and Xenoblade Chronicles X just gets more amazing looking but other than that.....very disappointing. Bizarre release date for Captain Toad...January 2 not that I care. I expected much more.
-
I'm still waiting for something of interest.
-
Brilliant start with Majora's Mask 3D. Too much dribble being shown at the moment. Some Wii U news please.
-
Super Mario Advance is being released tomorrow on the American Wii U Virtual Console. It's price is $7.99. It's late here but still early in the States so a European release might be out tomorrow as well. http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/pCvXEXYqJbLFZ7-a8S1QbDMegr6Aezdh

There's also a bit of focus or a reel on indie support squeezed in there somewhere. Shovel Knight being most prominent I'd say. [TWEET]529939081829302272[/TWEET] Devil's Third was rough at E3 but it's supposed to have made "major improvements" in the meantime. http://nintendoeverything.com/itagaki-on-devils-third-more-talk-about-working-with-nintendo-wii-u-big-improvements-since-e3/

Enjoying the Man City v CSKA game this evening. Very open and end to end. CSKA are 2-1 up at the minute. Nice time filler before the Nintendo Direct.
