I'm nailing this to the mast, there'll be a third party collaboration of a Nintendo franchise announced tonight. I'm almost certain. I was reading part of Nintendo's financial results the other day and Miyamoto was talking about 3rd party collaborations in the future. He doesn't come out and say things very often but when he does we should pay attention. Last time he was talking, can't remember what it was about now and nobody paid any notice at the time but a few days later it was announced. Damn it that I can't remember now, doesn't sound good if you can't remember what it was in the first place. Anyway, I'll find that recent interview. I hope that Nintendo don't give any airtime tonight to Watch Dogs seeing as it's finally and conveniently crawled out from under its rock today. It would be a mockery.

I know but I'm talking about this version of SSB. It's just a theory. Every other character reveal went in order up until that point.

The thing is it won't have anywhere near the print run of Mass Effect 3. Argos were still flogging that game off for about €10 a month ago and had loads in stock. It may affect its value if it's rare. It's got the best bomb combination going: Ubisoft bad press, overhype is long dead, possibly bad port, lazy port, 6 months too late port, overpriced, no DLC = Winner

I have thought about this screenshot: Is there a new game in the works? Or rework the old classic using the gamepad in place of the zapper and announce it as a free download to those that buy SSB Wii U? Bowser Jr. was revealed before Duck Hunt Dog but by the order of unlockables DHD should have been shown first. Maybe they're saving it for a special reason tonight and all the new characters in this SSB have featured in games in recent years except for DHD.

Pic of the day. Jackpot Opportunity is one of the Events in single-player mode where you aim to collect 1,000 Gold to pay off your loan. This scenario uses Coin Battle rules. It's Past Your Bedtime sets up another predetermined situation for a single-player Event. In this one, Jigglypuff needs to put every fighter to sleep at the same time. There are quite a few scenarios like this that aren't simply brawls.

Strong rumour that it's coming out this Thursday. Shibata is presenting part of the European Direct so I suspect that while the American version is talking about Captain Toad we might get announcements about European specific things like Shovel Knight and spring a slight surprise. I'd like to see more of X and Zelda, though Zelda's highly unlikely. Maybe see some more of Yoshi's Woolly World and show the MK 8 DLC. What I think will happen is: a massive concentration(and I mean huge) on amiibo MK8 DLC highlighted Smash Bros. 3DS but more so the Wii U version Captain Toad Treasure Tracker I've no idea what they'll show for 3DS. I don't think they'll mention New 3DS, don't want to damage current 3DS sales I want a few surprises

Famitsu have reviewed Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and given it 8/9/9/8 which is a respectable 34/40 or 85%.

Pic of the day. Here's the Fiend's Scale in Classic mode. When you raise the intensity in the 3DS version, the effects looked similar to a picture book. However, for the Wii U version, as you raise your intensity it looks like you're falling deeper into the underworld. The very bottom looks ferocious. The field in Classic mode has five different backgrounds determined by the intensity level. On low intensity, the background looks peaceful, but on high intensity, the atmosphere gets pretty intimidating.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric TV Commercial That's a good, funny commercial.

Nope. Not a single one. Another game sent out to die. They advertise their own IP's like Pikmin 3, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World and I've seen them but what I have never seen is the collaborations being advertised like W101, Hyrule Warriors and now Bayonetta 2. Maybe there were ads for the other games but there definitely wasn't for Bayonetta 2. And you know Smash Bros. Wii U ads will be on TV.

What was that sane prediction? Still to completely disappear after a week is not good. One thing I find confusing is that in the Wii U only chart Bayonetta 2 is ahead of MK8, MK8 is in the charts.
