  1. I never see any. Just the very odd time a particular Nintendo region might have a press release when a certain milestone is reached. I don't know why we don't get it publicly like they do in the States and Japan. I think it's to do with money. You'd have to pay companies who monitor these results to make them public. I expect Wii U sales for the week of Smash's release to be at least 30,000. Maybe as high as 50,000. And sales of the game to be 500,000 for the week. By comparison, MK8 sold 326,000 copies and 19,300 Wii U's that week.
  2. It might have started about a decade ago but it's getting worse. They are unfortunately becoming more and more irrelevant.
  3. Brilliant! If you know the episode, you'll get the reference.
  4. Just had a look at the eShop. It takes up a WHOPPING 17.2GB's. That's the biggest game I think. Nope, surprisingly there's a few bigger. http://www.nintendonerds.com/guides/wii-u/wii-u-eshop-games-list-download-sizes-retail

  6. I'm definitely getting it. I sent an e-mail to Nintendo after I bought MK8 about the disappointing voice chat options in their games and online generally. I got an automated response back and another might as well be automated response. No point writing to them. As long as they get your money they don't care. So how do protest without not buying it? I can tolerate it, after that awesome Smash Direct it pales in significance really.
  7. Yep. It's done the same way as MK8. No chat in game, chat in the lobby if you're friends with them.

It seems PS4 sales are very slowly gathering momentum. Wii U has had another bad week despite having a second game in the charts in the form of LEGO Movie: The Game. But with sales of 3,500~ that's hardly something to boast about.

    Mario Kart 8

Does anybody know if the DLC will be available at midnight or will it be part of the usual eShop update tomorrow?
  11. I've not denied that. It's just a light-hearted poke at what I think of them. I do worry about what will be coming further down the road if they get established. It's also my prerogative as a Wii U owner to be negative if I don't like what I see happening. It's neither ridiculous nor your right to tell me to stop. : peace:
  12. For some reason I just thought of this when I read that. : peace:
  13. Yeah I read that which is great news. Not that Reggie said it. He's also doing a Twitter Q&A session later today. [TWEET]532299230841679873[/TWEET] [TWEET]532299735173201920[/TWEET] Where I expect it to be very sterile and he'll answer only carefully selected questions, avoiding all the tough, hard hitting questions. Edit: I should add that's 10.30p.m UK time.
  14. Nice collection. Over half are third party. Will you collect the same amount of third party games from now until the end of the consoles life cycle? Most probably not. Can Nintendo fill that hole? The same answer.
  15. I expected to hate it once I seen family involved but I have to say it made me smile. So they're capable of some decent Wii U ads in the States. Wii U - Wii U Holiday Commercial
  16. http://mynintendonews.com/2014/11/11/shulk-amiibo-will-be-a-gamestop-exclusive/
  17. I've explained this all before numerous times but the main reason is I'm not shelling out €400 on another console just because Nintendo messed up. One console would be enough if things were done right.
  18. Facts and Serebii are like oil and water. I admit when I'm wrong, unlike others. It's probably not deliberate but it is convenient as it means you'll need multiple amiibo unless they let you back up the data on the Wii U.
  19. Just reading up some more on NFC. I don't think Nintendo might have a choice really. They're not very practical as they can store shag all data.
  20. No, I can't stand the things for numerous reasons. It's another reason to hate them. It just seems like a way to force people to buy multiple amiibo.
  21. 4kb? Yes that memory be very expensive. Edit: Nevermind. You hardly mean it's expensive.
  22. What a waste of money. IGN have reported that amiibo are region free. That's logical. The next bit isn't. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/11/nintendo_outlines_confusing_amiibo_save_data_limitations Why are they doing this? I have my suspicions.
  23. I'd love an Alien game. Haven't played them since on the SNES and the Gameboy version. I'd like a lot of things. Sports games for starters. This amiibo lark releasing soon is not for me. I'm not a kid. In a way I hope it fails because it's not the direction I want them to go in and you know Nintendo will milk it for all its worth at the expense of us hardcore gamers if it catches on. The same way they went last generation with the casuals on the Wii. That's grand for you. What about us Wii U only gamers?
  24. I got a really, really, really good deal on them and I like collecting. Honestly, if I told you how much for them your jaw would hit the floor.
