The second Mii outfit was a bit of a disappointment to me. I expected a slightly more spectacular reward for beating 32 ghosts. I spent a good amount of time trying to unlock the staff ghost on Sherbert Land. It wasn't until I got a time of 1:21:xxx (more than six seconds faster than the ghost) when I realized I had already unlocked him and was racing the expert ghost... A different colour or logo would've been a nice addition to seperate the expert ghosts from the regular ghosts.

I just completed the 50cc and 100cc cups. I like the fact that you get rewarded for achieving one or more stars. I much prefer the carts over the bikes though. The wheelies are nice, but I really miss the yellow/red sparks when riding a bike. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me but it seems like the opponents are more equally skilled on the Wii version, compared to the DS and NGC versions. It's not as easy to predict which NPC will have the most points.

...and press A with the controller at the title screen. edit: Never mind, I see you've figured it out. I'm loving the game so far. I couldn't get used to the wheel, so I switched to the ol' GC controller.

I can just imagine the typical Wii-commercial for this game...

I bought it today and I like it very much so far. I'm still in Excite mode and the tracks are getting harder (platinum cup). I have to get used to doing a turbo jump, spinning and managing to evade the trees at the same time. The blurry/speed effect when driving/flying fast is really amazing btw and the surroundings look awesome.

The store might not accept it. At least the store where I bought my broken Wii didn't. The clerk just gave me the Nintendo helpdesk phone number, so I had to send it directly to Nintendo.

I'm considering buying this game after having seen all the postive comments on this thread. Can anyone comment on the multiplayer? Does it add much to the game's value?

My Wii wouldn't even read games, and I'd get a black screen when trying to start channels. I contacted Nintendo and sent it to them. I had to pay the mailing costs. The replacement arrived after about a week or so.

It turns out I have a defect Wii (black screen when trying to start channels, discs not recognized) and I'll have to replace it. Does anyone have any experience with the replacement/repair policy of Nintendo Benelux? I can't contact them now because of the holidays, but I suppose I'll have to call them, ask for a replacement and send my defect Wii to them. If anyone has had any experience with sending defect consoles to Nintendo (Benelux) and could enlight me on this matter, I'd appreciate it very much.

I'm finally a pro tennis player. I introduced my family to the game and they loved the bowling and golf.

It seems I have stopped getting black screens and freezes. How and if it's been 'fixed' is a mystery to me. :?

Considering all the wiimotes and nunchucks I still have to buy, I'll just stick with my (wired) GC controller.

I got mine at an independent game shop a week after I pre-ordered and had payed 50 euros beforehand. You should ring a few places and stick with the shop that will get it the earliest.

The bowling looked amazing.

I loved the controller from the start (at least it put the farfetched Wii speculations to rest) and I still love it. I didn't expect Twilight Princess to feel so natural from the start though. As for the name, I like the idea behind it and the fact that it's easy to remember, yet it still feels a bit silly when I pronounce it.

Changed my Wii code because I reset my Wii's memory (see signature). Since no one has added me so far, I'm going to add everyone myself.

I've been playing a lot of Wii Sports (tennis is rather addicting), but I've done it in short bursts, around an hour per day in total. But when I play Zelda I usually play it for one to three consecutive hours.

I have the same problem. Though my Wii works about 50% of the time, so I'll wait till after the holidays before sending it to Nintendo.

A little update on my problem. Since I've turned my Wii into an upright position, I haven't encoutered the black screen problem yet. I have no idea whether this is purely coincidental or not, but I will post here if it happens again. EDIT: Got the black screen again. Can anyone tell me how Nintendo's replacement policy works? Do they send you a new console after you send your old one (thus having to wait weeks before being able to play) or can you send your old one back after you receive a new one? EDIT 2: It seems to be permanently broken now. When I start up Zelda it either gets stuck on the Wii remote/strap screen or the screen just turns black.

My screen went black as well, but it happened when I entered a channel (e.g. started LoZ:TP, Mii channel). It stayed black until I pulled the plug out and restarted. The problem remained though when I entered a channel again. I solved it with the help of this link: http://www.wiierror.com/wii-black-screen.php. However, today it occured again. Do you think this is also because of data being transferred? Or is my Wii broken? EDIT: Tried playing my Wii again, and I'm having the same problem. There was noting wrong with it when I just got it, this problem started appearing yesterday.

So am I. I'm trying to stretch the experience. Even though I've always liked LoZ games, I never really loved them. Somehow I also prefered the 2D ones. TP is really amazing though. I'm not really far into the game, but the refreshing controls and the beautiful scenery make this game the best Zelda I've played and it deserves a spot on my top 10 list of best games.

I'm tempted, but I think I'll wait till next year. Thanks a lot for the information though!
