  1. Aquaman is out today (at least here in Denmark) and is receiving mixed reviews. The dialogue is supposed to be ... bad... and the actors aren't convincing. However, it currently holds a score of 8.2 based on 6,000 submissions on IMDb while the Metacritic score is 53. Guess it's (unsurprisingly) one of those movies that you have to see in order to judge properly - like well, every movie...
  2. Given how little we've seen from Fire Emblem Three Houses, I doubt it'll be ready in February or March. Perhaps May or June. I believe we'll see DLC for some major games instead of a new game in February. Yoshi is probably a March or April release.
  3. You can always go back so there's no need to start a new file. There is also in-game tools for finding some stuff.
  4. I had serious trouble with figuring out how to defeat that boss after the first part...
  5. Sonic Mania is half the price on the eShop. But you are right. I'm just saying that the average consumer doesn't know that and doesn't see it as that.
  6. Pretty much it, yeah. But you are right, it's an interesting thing. I think it's basically down to the feeling of value when buying something. With AAA you know why the game is expensive (or well, you think you do, it's probably mainly because of advertisement) but with indie games, especially if you don't do much research on the game, you can't possibly get your head around the expenses the developer had in order to develop the game, meaning that you don't understand why it's so expensive. Also, the free to play titles and cheap games on stores like App store and Steam as well as frequent sales kill the need to buy expensive games digitally. The last part is something I'm guilty of, I hate getting something not on sale, even though I've got the money.
  7. It is - for the physical edition. However, it's a lot to ask for for a digital only game. I'm not saying it's not worth it (it is!) but most people - myself included - would really think twice about buying a digital game this expensive.
  8. What's the reference there? It's truly a gem. So much care has been put into it, and it shows.
  9. So the pig game is out tomorrow and there is a new trailer for it: £14.99 on the eShop.
  10. So in reality, the only part of these shows to watch is the crossovers? I haven't watched a full crossover since the second or third season of Arrow. When they introduced Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, it just got too many shows to watch.
  11. There's a patch incoming and it will render your replays invalid. If you want to save them, convert them to video in the Replay menu. Hmm. Maybe this will change King K. Rool so one should probably try to do those challenges with him in case they nerf him. Problem is, I haven't played this since launch day because I haven't had the TV to myself, and playing tabletop is not really the best way to play it. (However, Monster Boy is splendid and has kept me busy so that's fine.)
  12. Another poster for the Sonic movie: Not only is Sonic fast, he has a really fast camera as well.
  13. You can use the new GameCube controller for Switch games so that argument doesn't hold. I have made the transition to the Pro Controller for this Smash Bros. purely because of convenience. It's easier to play the game with the standard controller for the system. However, it took some time to get used to the new controller and I had to remap the buttons to match the GameCube controller. It's a lot about muscle memory that isn't easily overwritten. One problem with the Pro Controller is that the right stick is a bit too close to the buttons, meaning that I accidentally hit the stick when trying to pull off a special move (Y).
  14. Wow, incredible! (As the announcer in Melee would put it.) I have yet to even try that - who did you use? My best was with Link and then later Lucario but with Link, I couldn't get around the final boss to hit it. Lucario - I guess I was just rusty but all the fights there were teams against you making it hard to win with Nice Play to increase the bar enough.
  15. First look at Sonic the Hedgehog: https://twitter.com/FriendsAndFilm/status/1072118448514351110
  16. Monster Boy is really great. About halfway through, maybe a bit more and it's got quite good with some nice puzzles and some good, challenging areas.
  17. 7.5.hours today. I think that's enough Smash for one day. Tag Team is great fun!
  18. What is going on? I've spent about 45 minutes on Century Smash with Link, one of my top fighters, and I cannot beat it! Got to 98 several times but always got hit with something and then, boom, away! Sometimes I even get knocked out after 50 because the real fighters that appear have much more punch to them than the rest. Really frustrating. I don't think I'll be playing this in handheld mode. Doesn't seem like a good fit controllerwise. Might go for tabeltop mode with the Pro Controller but mostly I'll try to game on the TV.
  19. True. I'll just spoilertag it then.
  20. Hell yeahs! Steve Rogers looks doll-ish without his beard now, though. Also, it got a name!
  21. Shatter. No, it's just a bonus game to run to the end but it seemed like good fun with some variety. Can see it becoming trivial after the first 30 characters, though.
  22. Classic Mode is actually good fun this time around. Smooth, fast, boss at the end, a bonus game in the end as well. And the credits, awesome. Got 133 in my second try, think that's nearly all there is to shoot.
  23. Okay, I'm playing this now and I just can't get a grip on the controls when using the Pro Controller. I've tried remapping the controls to resemble GameCube controller but I just keep pressing the wrong button.
  24. I'm surprised but haven't played any of the games in the GOTY category so can't really say anything about the quality of said games.
