  1. The most annoying thing was constantly chugging coffee to get the drop rate bonus maximised. And then eating everything to max out everyone's stats. Mastering all the pins pretty much happened before I beat every superboss, so that wasn't too bad (Obviously, I had to do one last pin afterward, but that didn't matter too much). Yearlong Ensemble and chaining 10 fights with the hardest puffer fish enemies made grinding very easy. That last superboss is proper BS though. It can easily one shot you, even with maxed stats. I'm just thankful you don't need to be level 1 on Ultimate to get the pin. All in all, I didn't mind. I was still having fun by the end. The fact that I 100% this, but not the DS one says a lot about how much more manageable the controls are.
  2. Took me over 130 hours according to my Switch profile. Granted, that's how long the game was on for. But there's a ballpark for you, @drahkon
  3. I find it interesting that out of all the items, it's the lightning that annoys you the most. It feels devastating, but in all honesty, it tends to be more beneficial to the person in first. Sure, you've lost your items, but so has the 10 other people behind you, and they likely had better items then you did. And that guy all the way in 10th that used it isn't catching up with you any time soon. Of course, if it happens right after you passed an item box, then things can get a little dicey, and if one lucky git happened to be using a star or Boo at the time, then you need to watch out. But that doesn't happen as often as you'd think. 9 times out of 10, I'd rather eat Lightning then get two red shells thrown at me.
  4. It'll forever be too rich for my blood, huh?. Man, I want it though!
  5. Probably because CPU's aren't programmed to use items outside of their signature one and the feather. So they literally cannot use Lightning. Try playing with the maximum amount of players in any Mario Kart, and you'll find 2 or 3 Lightning strikes is the norm. You're mad if you think the SMK CPU's aren't some of the most blatant cheaters in the series, BTW.
  6. Next Theme Night: Tonight 8pm Like usual, if we finish before 8:45, I'll start a fourth GP, which will also be Player's Choice. If someone does show up late, I'll allow people to rechoose whatever new track they missed. While we'll start at 8pm, I highly recommend getting into the room as soon as you can when I open up at 7:45pm. The last 2 times, people from various friend lists of N-E members gatecrashed the room. And while I'm fine with it if it means a fuller room, it'd suck if one of you couldn't get in because of that.
  7. Unless you're first, in which case. DON'T USE THE BLUE SHELL! Oh yes. All sorts of ideas for theme nights are slamming together in my head!
  8. You need to make that drum emoji bigger.
  9. Well, that completely ruins Sony's argument on why the acquisition shouldn't go ahead, doesn't it? Shrewd move.
  10. I have actually. I did it with all the characters to boot. OK, you two have sold me on it. Gonna wish list it and next time it goes on sale, I'll bite.
  11. Pretty much, yeah. When a game gets an immediate reputation as being very difficult, it puts me off. I don't have enough money to waste on a game that ends up being too hard for me to enjoy. One of the first things I do when considering a game is check for difficulty options. Cuphead has an Easy mode, but once I found out that playing on it locks you out of the ending, I noped out of buying it.
  12. OK, now I'm intrigued. How different are we talking with Ms. Chalice? Give me specifics. And theoretically, if I were to buy Cuphead and the DLC, would I be able to play as her in the base game?
  13. Charizard raid will be back in two weeks. And even if you haven't finished the game, you can join someone's game through the Union Circle and do it through them.
  14. I won't be able to play tonight. I've developed a pounding migraine, and Smash is not gonna help one bit.
  15. Yep, pretty much the same. I can post my stupid gameplay videos there really easily and that's all I need.
  16. Hey, hey, hey! I like Charizard. I use it in competitive battles now and again. But I'm not delusional. I know firsthand it's shortcomings. What I don't like is how much it hogs the limelight. It must proper suck being a Venusaur or Blastoise fan. And it makes me look like the kind of guy who only likes stuff that's popular. I like Kecleon, for god sake! I can't be mainstream with taste like that!
  17. It's because Charizard has always been a mediocre Pokémon, except for the 3DS games. With Megas being gone, it's regressed back to being a mediocre Pokémon.
  18. This isn't the performance based patch that was alluded to, so I doubt it.
  19. Well, I'm playing Sunbreak and monsters can hit real hard. @Mokong can back me up on that.
  20. Reports going around that this patch has mitigated some of the slowdown issues. Mostly noticeable in towns. It's a promising start, but other issues (like pop-in) are still around.
  21. It is, he's being weird. Anyway, I've certainly been two shotted a few times in Sunbreak (Basically, the equivalent of Iceborne), even with my incredibly tanky setup. And don't get me started on how many quests I've failed when playing with randoms. Difficulty is fine. H-o-T's one of those hunters who thinks that if he isn't dying in one hit, the game's too easy.
  22. On one hand, I haven't played a lot of World, (Because it's kinda boring). But I'm not gonna sit here and have @Hero-of-Time grumpy curmudgeon all over the best Monster Hunter game. Hey @drahkon. You like World, eh? Do you wish there was less faffing about tracking a monster? Do you pine for way faster methods of locomotion? Or do you just think it would be better if Spiderman was in the game? If the answer is yes. Then Rise is for you! It features legendary features such as being able to stay in one online room with your friends across multiple hunts! And being able to choose which decorations you actually want! It's faster paced, with more diverse monsters then 20 different dinosaurs. He says it's easier, but that's because the player has far more tools to utilise to help survive in that, admittedly, terrifying hunting world. You're damn right I jumped over that Kushala Daora blast! You know why? Because I'm awesome sauce! And wirebugs helped... Awwww yeahhh! Flinging myself across the entire arena while dressed up like a dragon in order to do a piddly 37 damage because I main Sword and Shield! You can't do that in World, and that's why it's boring! Rise is fun, dummy!
  23. If it's a sequel, they'll likely tweak it so that the disadvantage of controllers is offset somehow. More time or something like that.
  24. Next time, use a Quick Ball on the first turn. Especially if it's an unevolved and easy to catch Pokémon.
  25. You know full well that touch controls are no guarantee with any Switch game.
