I think Super Mario RPG is the perfect "beginner's RPG". It's not insultingly easy, but won't challenge RPG veterans too much. Basically Square was trying to get Mario fans to try RPG's and it worked well. The battles are closer to Paper Mario than M&L. It has action commands, but has a hint of Final Fantasy to it. (Shouldn't be surprising, really, seeing as Square made it) It's definitely worth a go if you like Paper Mario, but just remember, it's a product of it's time, so expect some slightly awkward isometric platforming and some amazingly obtuse optional secrets (The best armour and weapon in the game are almost impossible to find, not that it's really required) Humour and soundtrack are top notch though. The game likes to play on Mario's ability to jump really high and his refusal to speak. (This was before Mario 64, after all) And it's genuinely funny. If you were looking for a list of best to worst, then I would say... Bowser's Inside Story > Thousand Year Door > Dream Team > Paper Mario > Mario RPG > Superstar Saga > Partners In Time Should point out that I still really like Partners In Time, and I'm not counting Super Paper Mario and Sticker Star because they're not RPG's I also haven't played Paper Jam

The year of miracles just keeps on delivering! Insta-buy! Mario 64 DS only adds to the awesome!
-
Dude... That's a low blow...
-
Yeah, but you have the Japanese version. Which means you're disqualified from the N-Europe rankings. Because a year head-start is just a little bit unfair.
-
Who wants to be bet his "Not a collection" will end up looking somewhat like this?
-
Nope, got in fine, even quicker than usual. Maybe I nicked your place? EDIT: Anyway, nailed the Christmas Nikki badge! Gave her the job of being on my "Applications" folder. Because Christmas is the perfect time to help the unemployed, homeless Ninty characters! Poor Nikki...

Ughhhhh! The Monster Hunter in me is screaming in frustration! This is gonna be another "Reviews poorly because people don't understand the point of MH" situation, isn't it?
-
Perfect! I was struggling to come up with some neat ideas to use on my World 8! I'm sure this stuff will help nicely!
-
Really? My WiiU just downloaded the update overnight. I then got Cloud, waited about 30 seconds and got going. Just like every other character I got (All of them, no regrets!)
-
Hey, I was right. We are getting more! Good thing too, gotta make room for Bayonetta!
-
I'm probably gonna end up playing 2 again. Beautiful game! And sucks to be you guys who find her annoying, I welcome more British accents in Smash!
-
Robin would like a word with you... Easily the most interesting FE character so far. Time will tell whether Corrin can claim that crown. Although, judging by the reception he's getting, most of you won't ever find out.
-
I'm only counting six... I'm OK with Corrin, he's no worse than Roy in Melee. Plus, Manakete characters are cool and will help him differentiate himself. Bayonetta alone carries this Direct! So hyped for Feburary! (Cloud's fun to play as! Deceptively quick! Midgar stage is dope!)
-
You are making it very hard to like you at the moment... You don't even like Smash, why do you care? Bayo has me more excited than Lucas, and trust me, that's saying something. You know, Roy was a no-name bum when Melee came out, even in Japan. Stop acting like this somehow makes Smash less credible!
-
Guns in Smash! It finally happened. I can feel the salt over Corrin already! I'm OK with it! Seems interesting to play as. Do want Bayonetta and her extremely long taunts! A deserving winner!
-
No, wait. The first one was 39 minutes, still though!
-
Japanese direct is 33 minutes long! That would make this the longest Smash Direct! Bombs will be dropped! This is it! It's going out with a bang!
-
The wait is excruciating! It is literally driving me insane. I can't focus on anything. The excitement is too distracting!
-
Yup. I really hope ZL/ZR aren't used in Pokken, because that's not gonna help one bit. Oh well, not gonna get it, so I don't care.
-
Right, OK. I'm gonna get this said now. If the dataminers find anything else, could you PLEASE put it in spoiler tags! Just once, I'd like to go into a direct not knowing what to expect.
-
Well, here we go! Remember guys, I only own a WiiU and a 3DS, so keep that in mind before shouting at me. Oh, and like last year, I'm not counting games that came out December 2015, nowhere near enough time to play those, (Not that I own any). But I will be counting games from December 2014, so it all evens out. And just for the hell of it, obnoxious spoiler tags for everyone!

In terms of content for single players, I'd say Smash 4 is around the levels of Melee. Which after Brawl is a little bit disappointing. The brunt of Smash 4 comes from the challenges, those will keep you busy! That's just being a killjoy though! Smash directs have been some of the most exciting directs! Enjoyed reading that, enjoyed it so much that I'm gonna jump on with who I want and who I predict as well. Who I would like to see: Dillon Sorry Banjo fans, it really was a close call between the two for me. Forget the Inklings, The Dillon games host some of the best character design from Nintendo in the past 10 years. And I'm an artist, which means I'm right, so there! I don't care if I'm the only person on this site who would say this. I want playable Dillon in Smash! I mean, how could you not want a Cowboy Armadillo from a new Ninty series? HOW!? Anyone who thinks that he's just Ninty's answer to Sonic obviously never played either of the Rolling Western games. There's plenty of material from the two games that would make him stand out in Smash. Rolling charges, claw attacks, digging, dynamite, comically oversized gun towers he could even use Russ' pedal helicopter as a recovery. A Final Smash could even utilise the three partners that appeared in the second game, it's too perfect! But alas, the series is just a little bit too niche, which is probably why he appears as an Assist Trophy. I'll just have to hope that he pulls a Little Mac and single-handedly get me hyped for the next Smash. My prediction: Shovel Knight The signs all point to our little Knight of Shovelry. The amiibo, the great success of his game and the sheer NES-ness of him all make him a good candidate for newest Newcomer. And there's plenty of inspiration from the game that could be translated well to a stage. My choice would be this, almost perfectly replicated, but without walls. EFF TOURNEY LEGALITY! I WANT EXPLOSIONS! But then again, Sakurai is a beautiful madman, so no-one can really say with certainty what will happen tomorrow, (Except that Cloud will be available after the direct) so roll on Tuesday!

I don't think anyone who played Mario Party 10 could resist asking "Why Spike?" I know I couldn't... I love that they acknowledge that Spike was an utterly bizarre choice. Took me 4 tries to get that Bowser... I don't think I'll be getting that one while being cheap. Still haven't spent a penny. Got 87 different badges! Fight the machine!
-
Mario Party 10 badges were added today. That Bowser one is going to be a nightmare to get.

I'm sitting here in a Groudon shirt and I am very displeased with you. But you like Vanillite and Trubbish and I can't be mad at someone like that. For me, Gen 4 had the least memorable (I can't call any Gen bad) Pokemon. But it does have Infernape, Electivire and 'How in the world did that head slip under the radar' Palkia. Must... Not... Take... Obvious... Bait... Nope, can't do it! I have standards! Eff you and your dreadful taste in Psychic Pokemon! I hope a Grumpig curb stomps your stupid face into the ground. Because I'll be there, laughing and also pointing! You have put me in a real foul mood now.
