If the amount of jaggies that this (Inevitably) gets on TV's bothers you, then you might just want to play the DS ones, seeing as you have them already.

Compelling points, but all three of us joined this site at one time. Though it's nice to see you see me as part of the N-Europe furniture already. Lucked out and managed to bag myself 3 free tries today, now I've got both of the Boo Badges, so I won't be spending any cash tomorrow! Totally messed up the third one going for the Yoshi Activity log icon, but oh well! Hey, @Ugh-First-Aid, any luck with the Rosalina one? That goes away Thursday.

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Well, I played through Blue quite recently, so no way I'm getting that. I reckon @Dcubed's gonna get both Yellow and Red. Because he's mad. I'd probably get just Yellow, because I don't have as much disposable income as I'd like to have. And yes, it is amazing! Thanks! I don't know what I was saying. -
Nah! Totally Power! You only have to look at the kind of Pokemon team I use to see that. And @Dcubed has to be courage seeing as he's the only one of us who actually dared to do the 1% Metroid Fusion run... Twice... Purely because Miiverse existed. In other words, this comic!

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I thought you preferred Blastoise to Charizard anyway though? Oh wait, these are digital games, so box art doesn't matter anymore. Oh well, we'll just do what every family did before you could breed starters, use each others games and cheat our way to getting all three starters before even getting one badge! (Except for that one guy who gets Yellow, who won't really be helping at all. Due to there being Pokemon in that game that can't be caught without trading with Red and Blue.) Also, it's about damn time your account got in! I need help in my impossible quest of convincing @Serebii that the PMD series is actually quite good. -
If it meant getting a third Dillon game, I'd happily pay to get the badges.

I knew someone would pick up on that.

Not much meaning? I thought the dude was mentioned about half way through the game. It was kinda cool. Knowing that something was behind the scenes, but you had no idea what this mysterious bloke looked like. Or am I misremembering? Oh, and I agree with @Hero\-of\-Time. Puppet Ganon obvs ain't Ganondorf. That's why IT'S A PUPPET!! Oh yeah, once @Dcubed told me about it, I had to give it another go. It looked badass as heck, shooting lightning around like that, but a little part of me preferred the ridiculous struggle I went through. So I kinda always do that final battle without the Skyward Strike.

On my first playthrough, I never actually realised...

Recently, I finished the 6th of the purchasable Streetpass plaza games, and so I think I'll talk about the two newest ones that I completed this year. Streetpass Fishing and Streetpass Zombies The Streetpass Mii Plaza got a couple of new games a while back. And considering I enjoyed all four of the previous ones (Especially Mansion), I jumped right on these two! First I'll talk about Streetpass Zombies. In this game, your Mii arrives at Hobbiville, a place where Mii's indulge in their hobbies. It's facing a bit of a crisis though, because... Yeah, what she said. So naturally, it's up to you to help Dr. Scarlet find a cure. Yes, it's an excuse plot. But who cares? The gameplay revolves around the beat-em-up genre with you using a variety of weapons to fight all sorts of goofy looking zombies. There's 30 stages in total, ranging from simple "get to the end" stages to protecting an important building from waves of the undead. It's a decent length, considering the price. That's for sure. But fear not, you are not alone! This being a streetpass game, the people you pass in real life will provide you with the very weapons you need to be victorious! The cool thing about the weapons is that it's based on the actual hobby that person has set in their Mii settings. For example, the majority of people I passed put "Video Games" as their hobby, so when I pass those people, I get provided with a Wii Remote to fight with. Each weapon has various functions and attacks, so getting the right weapon for the situation can make a big difference. Oh, and every selectable hobby has a weapon, every single one. And some are very, uhhh... special. Including... Being a lazy sod! Wasting time on the internet! Studying simple arithmetic! And being the king of "Staying Alive"! It all gives a very comedic feel that helps make the game pretty memorable. It's not too challenging, with a healthy supply of Mii's, you shouldn't ever see the Game Over screen, and the high-score chasing and sub-missions should provide you with enough to do. So I'm gonna move on to Streetpass Fishing. This, as the title suggests, is a fishing game. Your Mii goes to the "Streetpass Isles" (Where do they come up with these genius names) to indulge in a spot of fishing. But on your first trip, your boat is attacked by an absolutely colossal fish and you accidentally drop all your bait into the sea. Bugger! Career ruined! BUT WAIT! Helpful tour guide, Coraline, has an idea for you to continue to fish. Mooch bait off of everyone else! So like the filthy hobo you secretly are, you hassle people for free bait, and then proceed to hunt down and fish up the 5 "Legendary Monsters" that roam the Streetpass Isles. The gameplay is pretty easy to guess. You choose an area, and fish. You use the touch screen to reel in fish. Simple enough. Each area has a challenge for you to complete, and clearing this challenge unlocks more areas, which have different fish. There's 160 different fish to catch, so this is definitely going to last a while. The bait you get comes in a variety of colours and certain fish like certain bait, so choosing the right area to match the Mii's you're with is paramount. It's also good to have a lot of Mii's at once as well, as they help you pull in the more larger fish. See that Yoshi hat? My Mii has that hat, he wears it all the time! It's much simpler than Streetpass Zombies, but I do prefer this game. (Shouldn't be surprising though, these guys did Streetpass Mansion) There's something really nice about just popping this on when I get Streetpasses and just landing a few fish. It's definitely a slow burn kind of game, as I only saw the credits a week ago, and I've still got over 50 fish to catch, but I'm still enjoying it. If you enjoy fishing games and have access to consistent Streetpasses, you should definitely give this a go, you won't be disappointed. Although for both games, if you don't get Streetpasses for whatever reason, your enjoyment is going to be severely diminished, but that goes without saying really. And with that...

It definitely does remind me of Starfox Adventures final "twist appearence", but nowhere near as bad. That game's ending is so horrifically unsatisfying, it's kinda comical in it's own weird, deluded way.
-
Well, you know exactly how to fix that, don't you? Only 90p. Go on, just once. What's the harm? Splatoon ones don't interest me a bit. I dunno, the character design never really impressed me in that. ...OH CHRIST! What if they do Dillon's Rolling Western ones!? NOOOOOOOO!
-
That's much nicer. Still not as good as the original though, because spoilers. I hope we get that one. And lol at the Wind Waker case, I didn't even know that existed! Good thing too! Because that fight was awesome! Still is.
-
Ganondorf being there is definitely spoileriffic. But at least if you've kept an eye on Hyrule Warriors, Twili Midna shouldn't be a big surprise. Still not a great choice of box art. Spoilers should always be avoided.
-
Well, my local independent game shop has a section for download cards. They have Earthbound and Dillon's Rolling Western, very cool. So you might have to look around.
-
Picture it now, Midgar, One-Winged Angel Orchestrated remix, Bahumut in the distance providing the epic background to the fight of ultimate destiny... Wii Fit Trainer Vs King Dedede. That's the dream!
-
It is strangely honest, isn't it? I just hate that the machine resets each day. Oh, you want a Rosalina badge, well better hope you can get it in two turns then! I don't think I could resist the Boo badges... And god help me if a Kecleon/Groudon badge shows up...
-
Now this is a dumb omission. Not gonna affect me in the slightest. I always go for the male option. But I can totally understand any annoyance caused.
-
You misunderstood me. I was referring to the gamepad when I said Gyro controls. I suppose I should worded it like "If this doesn't have Wii remote support, then this better have Gyro controls at least"
-
EFF YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY! You are nothing but a son of a silly person! You son of a silly person! You are this close to an angry letter of complaint! THIS CLOSE!
-
The lack of Wii Remote mention concerns me... At the very least, I want Gyro controls. Aiming with a control stick is SO 2001!

If people are counting remakes of mainline series as "True" FF representation, then I have a couple of DS games that need a word with them. As for "Slap in the face" Who's it slapping? The Ninty fans? If anything, I think it's slapping the hardcore Sony fans who were convinced Playstation All-Stars was gonna have a roster to rival Smash, and couldn't get two of it's most well-known characters from the PS1 era while Smash does it with seemingly no problems. And advertising!? If anyone sees this as simply a non-Smash advertising move, then that's a little bit depressing and only further proves my "Your wonder is dead" point further. Take a hypothetical Ninty gamer who only owns a WiiU and a 3DS and has never heard of Final Fantasy. (I know, I know. Roll with it) They download Cloud, and start looking at the trophies that they unlock by playing Classic/All-Star mode. They see he's from a game called Final Fantasy 7. So they decide to do some research. But oh noes! That game is for the PS1. This person isn't gonna hunt down a new console for a game they might not like. But wait! This game is apparently the seventh in a series! Maybe this gamer could play one of the previous six? A bit more research later and ta-da! It seems 1, 4 and 6 are available on the Wii Virtual console! And they're pretty cheap too! So hypothetical player downloads one. (Hopefully not the NES one, because that game is brutal.) This seems SO much more likely than a person running out to buy a PS4 for the remake because Cloud is in Smash. A remake that specifically said "Coming first on PS4" So there's a chance it might be on NX.
-
You naysayers are nuts! How is this anything other than a big deal!? Your sense of wonder is dead. DEAD!
-
He appeared in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories for the GBA. Not to mention the Theatrhythm games. So it's not technically breaking the Ninty Console rule. But seriously, who saw THAT coming!? No-one! If you say otherwise, you're a filthy liar!

14 minutes. Countdown got delayed.
