The generation 8 Pokémon game is expected to come out this year. I know that much.

How the living eff did I forget that one!?
-
Shut up! I didn't forget about this because of Christmas! You can't prove anything! There's only two more posts for me to do, so let's get the smaller Generation 7 spin-off's out of the way. Pokémon: Magikarp Jump is a mobile game that was developed by Select Button and was released in 2017 in Italy. Everyone else got it a week later. No, I have no idea why Italy got it first. Maybe they really like Magikarp? This is a sort of Virtual Pet kind of game that tasks you with raising a Magikarp to be the greatest jumper ever. I'd say that was a stupid concept, but let's face it, there's stupider out there. It's basically one of those games designed to kill time. It involves a lot of waiting around for timers to deplete so you can do stuff. I can never understand why these kind of games are appealing, but I recall some fellow N-Europe members enjoying this when it came out. Also, another game with microtransactions, par for the course with free mobile games. Speaking of... Pokémon Quest is the first Pokémon title for the Switch (It came out on mobile devices a month later) that released in 2018. The second spin-off title developed by Game Freak. It's another free-to-play game that tries to use microtransactions to make money. This game tasks you with controlling weird cubic versions of the first 151 Pokémon in order to explore Tumblecube Island so you can find more Pokémon and treasure. Although, you can basically have the game play itself, which @Ugh first aid has done plenty of times. Because it's a free-to-play game, this title involves a lot of timers that you have to wait to count down before you can progress. Both of these games came along, were played for a bit, and then just kinda disappeared into obscurity, very unlike the game that I'm gonna cover in the next and final post. As you can probably tell, I didn't touch these titles. They were about as deep as the puddle in the street outside my house. Good for you if you enjoyed them, but they are just not my cup of tea.

Only Breath of the Wild as far as Zelda goes. And I can't think of any other Nintendo game that has done the same thing, but I'm not gonna state that as absolute fact in the fear of someone proving me wrong.
-
Yep, I suspect this will be a Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword dealio, Did I miss some magical WiiU version of Skyward Sword!? I agree with @Sheikah about how this got off lightly though. Especially given how incredibly whingey the Metroid fanbase can be at times.

It's definitely my favourite Smash Credits game. Helps that you get little rewards for doing it. I tried a 9.9 run with Sheik, Zelda and Dr. Mario last night. Didn't pull it off with any of them. But I got a 9.6 with Dr. M with no continues. I could probably nail it with him. Can't say the same for Sheik, I think I have to put her in my Hopeless tier along with Fox.

So @Dcubed is pretty haps, I guess.

That emoji makes me second guess what I'm about to say but I have to try... You know you can press + to skip it, right? Anyway, you're right to be disappointed by the Bonus stage. It's the first Smash to only have one. Granted, WiiU's Classic had none. Brawl had 5 depending on the difficulty level. Melee had 25 (One for each character) 64 had 24 (Two for each character) plus Race to the Finish.

I play Smashdown a lot. If you can get a friend or more for an hour of Smash, it's a great mode to test your mettle with characters you might not pick initially. Random matches are also our favourite kind of matches. (Until @Ugh first aid gets Olimar or I get Diddy Kong)
-
I'm very good with Ike! EDIT: Thanks for the matches, @RedShell! Some proper laughs there. There was one moment where @Ugh first aid was playing as Mii Swordfighter and did the most unbelievable recovery.

Man, Sonic is just flat out cheap. You shouldn't be able to bust out homing attack that quick!
-
Room is open now @LazyBoy Passcode is 4444.
-
Yep, thankfully I've got the digital one. Room's open.
-
Ah Ok. Never mind then.
-
Should be done in about 5 minutes now. So if you haven't started GP3 yet, maybe wait for me?
-
Yeah, it's looking like that. Just start without me. And don't forget to take pics of each race result @BowserBasher I'll let you know when it's done.
-
I don't think it can download that fast. I might have to jump in at the start of a later GP.
-
I might be late getting there. I may have forgotten the physical copy of the game and thanks to @Ugh first aid and her genius (She told me to say that), I'm currently using the Switch Online feature of game sharing. The game is downloading now.

Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host (FC: 8313-9234-5620) @Glen-i @BowserBasher @RedShell @viceview51 @S.C.G @Tales @Shady @nekunando (If he remembers) Because this is the first Player's Choice night of the year, a quick reminder of a few things. @BowserBasher will open the room at around 7:45pm (GMT) If you're not in that time zone, make sure you figure out when that is. You'll be able to find the room under the "Friends" option when you go online. @BowserBasher's Mii is called Simon Don't choose a track that has already been picked. Variety is nice, after all. If you get disconnected, try and get back in as soon as you can. If your profile name doesn't match your N-Europe username, let me know so I don't mistake you for a random person.

I'd be up for that tonight after Mario Kart.

That fight is such a ridiculous jump in difficulty for a mandatory fight. It took me a lot of tries to beat it on the 3DS version. Anyway, I played through New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. I'd write up about it, but why bother when I can just link you to the review I did for the site? Check a look.

January N-E Game Club: Wario Land - Super Mario Land 3
Glen-i replied to Dufniall's topic in General Gaming Discussion
A weird quirk this game has is that doing a high jump (Holding the D-Pad Up when you jump) actually moves you at the speed of running with the Jet Hat. So I'm basically never running. -
It's definitely not @S.C.G with an alternate account.
-
That isn't true, there's been plenty of times where the final boss has gotten me to 9.9. If you use a continue before getting to 9.9, then you can't get there.
-
So throw every item I have at them then? Gotcha! In all seriousness, welcome to the League and the forums @Shady!
