  1. Annnnnnd sold. Once I have the funds. If I don't have the option to grind to get past tough stages, I don't want to play Fire Emblem.
  2. You'll have to replace that with something else.
  3. It seems to be some kind of upload issue. IGN posted some gameplay of this recently and it runs much nicer.
  4. Breaking News! Dixon's secretly run by Red Arremers!
  5. Righty-o. Here are the results from the last two weeks. Next League Night: 25th July 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @viceview51 @martinist @RedShell Seeing as you did an impromptu Player's Choice, we'll use the theme I planned to use last time. A turquoise-y theme for the Switch Lite.
  6. Sorry about this. WarioWare Gold is mostly made of remakes of old MicroGames from across the series and is therefore banned from nominations.
  7. You're misunderstanding. You can't vote for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Ultra Sun as two separate games, you can only nominate them as one entity. This is because the majority of the content is the same. Like all mainline Pokémon games. Fire Emblem Fates is very similar to the Oracle games in the Zelda series, two separate games that have different content between the two. If you really want, you can use two nominations on Birthright and Conquest.
  8. A list with the best Pokémon game on the 3DS as well as one of the finest arcade style rhythm games ever? Also has the one of the funniest Nintendo games ever. Yep, good list. Trust a philistine like you to think otherwise.
  9. I can definitely believe that a demo booth with loads of people using those joy-cons constantly throughout the day would drift after all this time. It shouldn't be the case. Especially when I just finished a Smash Bros. session with GameCube Wavebirds that still have perfectly functioning sticks. They must be around 15 years old at this point and all 3 of them worked perfectly. The Joy-Con sticks are shoddy as far as Nintendo controllers go. Nowhere near the standard of quality they're known for.
  10. @Dcubed is right. About most of the stuff. I'm not dumb, his face is dumb.
  11. And here we go. Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Kid Icarus: Uprising Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call Monster Hunter Generations So many games, not enough spaces!
  12. Voting is now closed. 3DS We're almost there, almost at current gaming, 2 consoles left to go. The 3DS was released in 2011 and built on the DS with a snazzy 3D screen and analogue controls. Glasses-free 3D gaming may not have taken off in the world of gaming, but there are definitely some games in this library that make great usage out of it. But all the visuals flying into your face isn't going to deter us from picking some games that any 3DS should have in its repertoire. Here are the rules for nominations. Pokemon Clause applies (Pokemon X/Y, Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) Remakes/ports are banned (Pokemon OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire, Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, etc) Metroid: Samus Returns is eligible for nomination as it is a dramatically different game to the Game Boy original. Retro compilations are banned (SEGA 3D Classics, Rhythm Heaven Megamix, WarioWare Gold, Ultimate NES Remix, etc.) Virtual Console games are banned (This also includes the 3D Classics titles) Applications are banned Download exclusive games are eligible. Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS is a separate game from Super Smash Bros. For WiiU, they only share character roster and physics, everything else is different. A vote for Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm will be counted as a vote for Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm: Curtain Call. The latter title makes the former title completely redundant. Games that made its Nintendo debut on this console are eligible for this console. Examples of this would be Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King I feel like I should point out that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Shovel Knight and Fire Emblem Warriors (and others with simultaneous releases on 3DS and WiiU) will not be eligible for this console as the WiiU version (Switch version for games such as Fire Emblem Warriors) came out the same day and they tend to be slightly superior versions (And to save me from going insane trying to sort what goes where). Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is awkward and had a simultaneous release, but only in Europe. It was delayed to have its weird release at the same time as the WiiU, but for consistencies sake with the previous rule, it will be counted as a WiiU title. Nominations close on the 27th of July.
  13. I mean, I'm likely to review it for N-E soon. But you'll never know!
  14. I've jumped back into attempting 9.9 runs that I failed to do on my first attempts. Maybe it's the N-E sessions, but I've been on a bit of a roll today. Managed to pull it off with Donkey Kong, Link, Yoshi, Zelda, Falco (No idea how...), Toon Link and Shulk. Which takes me up to 31 9.9 runs. Anyway, here's some N-E nonsense...
  15. Yeah, kinda forgot to do my last day reminder. So I'm gonna delay the deadline one more day. @GenericAperson, @Vanilla, @Dcubed, @Vileplume2000 and @killthenet are the people who nominated games but haven't voted yet. And a casual reminder that anyone can vote, even if they didn't nominate any games.
  16. OK, I need to swap to handheld, so the room will be disconnected for a bit, but I'll open it again straight away.
  17. Yeah, sorry. There was no internet where I was yesterday, so I couldn't post the theme and tell everyone I couldn't make it.
  18. Who's up for Smash? Stock at 8pm?
  19. There you go, now you get it.
  20. My guess is that it's because Garchomp is close to the most popular Gen 4 Pokémon ever. Also, do the likes of Dragonite, Salamence or Tyranitar have a similar cost? Because Garchomp is in the same family of base 600 stat Psuedo-Legendaries.
  21. If you didn't know what game it was, how the hell would you know what it is just by looking? It's the cardinal sin of Switch icons. It's also a lazily grabbed screenshot of the title screen, the brief moment before the title appears. Have a look at the middle, where Leon's stomach is. See how it look's a bit singed? That was a kind of visual effect that reveals the title in-game. Here, it looks crap. What makes this even worse is that other Resident Evil games have really nice Switch icons. Geez, they couldn't even bother to capitalise the title above it! Ewww.
  22. Yep, dreadful game. Monkey Ball deserves better.
  23. Even if they added gyro control support, I wouldn't get it because of that icon. It's actually gross.
  24. Literally one point clinched it. If it didn't get that, the number 2 game would have won through my tie breaker. Number 3 was only two points behind EBA, if I could vote, that would have won instead. It was crazy how close the DS list was.
