I've just found the master sword, when Link raised it over his head I sat with my mouth open and the nunchuck hanging down to the floor.

I went into this game not expecting much, having read the dodgy reviews on it, but it has totally blown me away. One of the above posters mentions how much it reminds them of N64 shooters, and I got that very same feeling. It just feels right. And compact. Minor niggles are the loading times, which make the Wii do a naughty noise and sometimes losing control of the pointer. I dont understand how people are annoyed at the turning circle speed, its near enough the same as goldeneyes c-button thingy.

I saw them in Manchester on the 14th. They were awesome, but I agree, as good as the new album is, that they should have played more old stuff. The crowd singing along to the Guitar part at the start of Fear of the Dark was phenomenal. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Tell you what was weird. Walking my dogs in the park today, when these two old women I always see and talk to, stopped to talk to me and pet the dogs. One asked me what I was getting for Christmas, so I said Wii, and one said "Ohhh they look brilliant!", then the other one pulled out a newspaper article on it, not quite sure why she was carrying it round but never mind, and then proceeded to tell me about the Breaking Straps and how christmas lights affect the remote. My feelings, in a word, were. WTF. So then she gave me the number to call if I needed my wrist strap changed and then talked to me about what sports are included in the Wii Sports package. These women are in their eighties. Bizarre.

I was playing football outside when I was about 10ish with my nextdoor neighbours, they went inside to get a drink but I stayed out to practise my keep ups. I dropped the ball and looked up to see this massive purple thing, it had a defined metallic structure to it and flashing green lights. Weirdest thing I've ever seen. Even though it looked like it was made out of metal, it looked organic. So weird. So I believe I saw a UFO that day, and I still believe that to this day. Also worthy of this story is what happened just after that, when I was still staring up in disbelief long after the mystery object had disappeared. I was staring, slackjawed into the sky when my friend calls out: "Whats the matter?" "I'VE JUST SEEN A UFO!" "Are you allergic to them?" Idiot.

Top 3 of 2006: 1. Gears of War - It has innumerable things wrong with it, but its perfect. Doesn't even make sense. 2. New Super Mario Brothers - Didn't have the chance to play the original 2D Marios, being an N64 kid and all that, so to me everything was fresh and, to be honest, brilliant. 3. I went into the Game on the second floor in the Trafford Centre and asked the helpful chap behind the counter if the Wii was playable but he told me that a Nintendo Representative had to be there. Presumably Reggie. So that he could stop people from stealing the Remote. Then their ass and take their name.

Tell you what was bizarre. I mentioned in the Wow Wii Moments thread about my legendary dad right, well he told me this story after he shown me the Wii. Apparently, the guy who works in Game said to him that he would need to buy an extra remote, as the one in the actual Wii box did not have the connector slot for the Nunchuck. Bizarre. Surely no one could be that stupid, so I'm guessing it was a ploy to make him buy more stuff. Ahhh well, I'm not complaining, I've got an extra remote and WiiPlay Just thought this was relevant as its the WiiPlay and Extra Remotes thread, and I have an unwanted WiiPlay and Remote. YOUR'RE NOT HAVING IT THOUGH. Oh I am a tease.

The Classic controller looks sexy.

Picture the scene. I hadn't pre-ordered my Wii. I've been waiting this console ever since the first N5 rumblings were swimming around the press. About two weeks ago, I thought, Hmmm, Maybe I should pre-order, but then thought, nahhh, Nintendo have got my back. They will have enough Wiis. Yesterday, I see all this stuff on the news and on here about how Nintendo aren't fulfilling their shipments and a lot of stores are now saying that it will be hard to get hold of a Wii before Christmas. This leads me to get the bus to town last night, roam around any shop that possibly sells games in search of one, or at least somewhere to pre-order for the next shipment. In the pouring rain, with the flu. Then about 20 minutes ago my Dad decides to tell me he pre-ordered one four months ago, then proceeds to whip out a Wii, WiiPlay, A Nunchuck, Zelda and Red Steel. That was my magic Wii Moment.

Has it actually been confirmed yet that the Nintendo Wi-Fi dongle will be compatible with Wii?

I don't like the writing in ONM. The style. The humour. Anything. I only really like the covers. And they aren't that good. Theres my five cents. I'm off to bed.

Must have seen about 6 Wii ads tonight. Advertising Wii Sports, Zelda and just Wii. All on primetime MTV, ITV and C4.

Okay, before I get panned for doing this, let me explain. I haven't watched any of the new series, I have been tempted but I'm waiting for it to come on tomorrow night on my brand new HD TV on Sky One. Surround sound and everything. Top Bollocks. Anyway. Anyone else like that? Second point. May have already been brought up I don't know I don't go on the thread because I've already had one MASSIVE SHOCK dealt to me by that thread about Season 3. This is where it gets interesting. If you have the first season on DVD, put the very first episode on. Watch the first few minutes, until that guy who gets sucked into the jet engine is by the jet engine. Now rewind it back a tiny tiny bit. Go through it frame by frame. You will see that a faint black cloud comes in from the right side of the screen, hits him in the stomach, with enough force to knock him into the engine. So you think its debris huh? Watch it. But keep watching, the shot should pull out to a shot of Charlie just about to get his crack on while walking on the beach. Look at the Jet Engine in the upper most right corner of the screen. See it explode? See that funny looking black cloud thing fly out of it? Well weird. Apologies if this has been posted before, it was something me and my homie found last night. Feel free to lock this moderators if you feel it is pointless. I'm just a lurker anyway.

Apologies if this is already being discussed in the Hardware or Pre-Order thread. But what is the best bundle deal all of you have seen? I'm currently looking round for pre-order deals. Plan on pre-ordering within the next week. I'll probably get a Wii, I live in a very Wiiphobic society. Fools. Anyway, best deal I've seen is the Wii(with Wii Sports of course), Red Steel and Zelda for £259.99.
