Your changes to the Revolution Controller
Nintendork replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
"The reason is that diode light is characterised by its low energy consumption, consuming approx. 2-6 times less energy than filament lamps. Diode bulbs are characterised by low energy consumption, long service life, considerable robustness, no UV light and no use of mercury or other environmentally harmful substances in their manufacture. Furthermore, the technology makes it possible to regulate both the colour and strength of the light." Yeah light emitting is the technobabble name. But technically the LE is not required because that is what diodes do. -
/me doubts they are final production models. prototypes are notorious for being lame. maybe nintendo and miyamoto hadn't decided there would be a need for a USB port. i think the idea of it being monitor compatible was quite last minute as well..

Your changes to the Revolution Controller

Okay a few problems. LED lights stand for Low Energy Diode, it's extremely low energy consumption, because little to no energy is lost through kinetics (heat) so that would certainly not drain the battery. The little energy they do use is worth the trade off for the information that it gives. We have the lights 1, 2, 3 and 4 corresponding to what controller is for what player on screen. The 360 controller actually felt like a quality piece of kit to me. Though I have heard that it peeled of slightly this quality feel wouldn't go a miss. I don't want it to feel like a toy and using a variety of textures will help longevity of play. Sky TV remotes have this nice rubber grip. But of course that is your opinion. Are you that lazy that you cannot have a box of batteries under your sink that you can't pop open the back of the case and put in 2 fresh batteries, or failing that have 4 rechargable uniross batteries, 2 in charge while the other 2 are on use. The controller will not be using much electricity and will probably last weeks if not months of play. If you know anything about the memory condition effect of batteries you'd know that using part of a battery then charging it can lead to ions in the battery getting worn out too quickly. Meaning your rechargable controller would be as useless as an iPod with a dud battery that can't be replaced. Nintendo want lower costs, Nintendo want it to be accesible and the idea of a charging cradle is just preposterous. It's just something third parties will release as a cheap accesory on eBay for 1p with £7 postage for rich kids with more money than sense. IMHO. -
It isn't a cube. Revolution is here to say.

Well isn't that just a bucket of piss?

I'm expecting European infastructure for DS download play. I don't know why movie trailers was mentioned.. with the advent of Quicktime 7.0 and HD movie trailers on apple.com why would I want to watch on such a small screen? I've never understood that really.. not that the DS has enough ram for such shenanigans. Demos is fun.. though they will only be synced with or slightly before localised releases. I don't know about other europeans but I don't take kindly to waiting 3 months for Animal Crossing.. and 4 months for Electroplankton.. I import games before I would get to play a demo on a station.. so I don't care much for the idea anyway.

Not true, you can do the following. A alone. B alone. A and B together. hold A then tap B hold B then tap A this is not mentioning the fact that you can tilt the controller in free space while doing all of this. Say you make mario jump pressing B. then tilt the controller back, then press A perhaps it will let mario climb up a ledge that's a bit too high for him to jump. Perhaps you tilt forward and press A and mario will run faster. It is the developpers job to make it happen not ours, gaming will be as easy and as fluid as the 'habit' we have of coming home and flicking through TV channels. this is not mentioning the nunchucka controller with the shoulder buttons and analog stick which will ultimately make a radical FPS experience. -
It has been mentioned once or twice that because the hardware of the revolution being so advanced in comparison to the N64 the way they will engineer the emulator it should theoretically have little to no loading times, and improved performance in games like goldeneye. It has been said that we can expect better loading times for N64 games, and virtually no loading times for NES/SNES games.

High quality rubber technology on the bottom that absorbs sweat would be nice. Generally it looks like it is of nice construction, I would like it to be evenly weighted.. that's what you expect from a controller and I'd like it to be made from a quality plastic. Which it appears to be so. I doubt they will implement a sweat mop into it like the xbox 360 has.. kinda rubbery on the bottom which is easy to wipe unlike plastic. The controller uses AA batteries, i'm assuming it will be energy efficient perhaps not using the vibration thing much, you can go down poundland and buy about 20 generic batteries for £1, probably last you for months. The charging dock is a product of the iPod generation, you don't need it to charge it, it just makes it look good. So they slap a £20 price tag on it. -
Bet they will talk about the distribution model of the Nintendo Revolution's back catalogue of games, the fps enhancements and loading time improvements to N64 games but otherwise no real enhancements to the system. Pricing plans for the download service and digital rights management. Final price for the console in various regions. [insert blah blah about the DS pwning, statistics, graphics.. DS games. maybe a bit of footage to finish of, maybe zelda.] nothing we aren't expecting.

Nintendogs is saturated the market, no game has sold that well in years. It wont be out again.

as one of those characters like the professor from tekken, where you have to spend ages typing in a code and it often gets disturbed by a biatch of an attack.. but if you can get it fast enough you absolutely pwn. polygon if you didn't know is a feeble pokemon but when morphed it can imitate any other character (minus skills) of course in smash bros. it would have the skills because it would be helpless otherwise. enter the pwnage.

Erm, dunno.. some website. We've had twisted, touched and it seems a natural progression to call it pushed. All part of Nintendo's revolution in gaming.. I really can't be arsed to trawl my bookmarks to find it. Sorry.

I'd like to see Jesus as a playable character.. after all Jesus would play Nintendo.

That booklet looks like it is printed on really nice quality matte paper. Really interesting, very envious of Miyamoto's job.

It's called WarioWare Pushed! it will be there, it wont be worth what you pay for it.. but you will get it for the experience it will give you for a few hours.

Rumour debunked. the interview never took place.. too farfetched in the first place to be blunt.

Nintendo Power: Keep your eye on Reggie, February 9th
Nintendork replied to Stocka's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I really think Reggie is some kind of internet gangster who is involved with identity fraud rings. All this talk of taking names.. it's the biggest growing crime in the world. PS. the pictochat must be proper busy at the event, and mariokart tourneys.. I wouldn't be listening to what he had to say. just drawing pictures of pen0r with people -
oh noes PS. watch your fucking language.
